Just let me say that I had a worse than terrible experience with this company. David will tell you whatever you want to hear but once paid, he is terrible about communicating. It took months to get SOME of my issues fixed on my remodel and I was still was not happy. David should have been on site, more than twice, checking the work as it progressed. I hired sky blue pools to replaster my pool. Their initial communication was great, but as the work started the issues crept up. I was very clear with them that I had an in floor system and they assured me they would work around it properly with the plaster. Of course, when they completed the plaster, I noted 2 in floor heads were covered up with the plaster. They initially denied it, but fortunately I had old pictures showing exactly where the heads were before. They then redid the area where the system was covered, but of course one of the heads was damaged. They sent me a replacement head which I put back myself. Then during the start up of the pool, they shocked the pool within the first 2 weeks which the national plaster council specifically says not to do with the product they sold. I still don't know if there will be long term damage from that. The final straw was the pool filter that should be cleaned because of plaster dust causing high pressure was mysteriously cracked after they cleaned it. Of course they agreed that the crack was caused by high pressure, but denied that it was their fault. They admit that plaster dust causes high pressure, but deny that that's what caused the crack. I clean my own pool filter and know there was no leak before the replastering. However, even though they admit that replastering process increases pressure, they refuse to accept responsibility for the crack in the filter casing that they said was caused by... Get this, high pressure!! Overall do NOT recommend working with them. At least two pieces of my pool equipment were messed up after they did their work! read more

Run away from this company. Horrible record keeping and billing practices resulted in constant discord. Then the people providing "service" were not very bright. They left a message saying my gate was locked or broken because they couldn't get in when the problem was the service guy was pulling rather than pushing the gate open. He broke my gate but blamed us for it. Another tech stripped our filter bolts and the office called telling us we needed to get our bolts/clamps replaced. After 2 years with these clowns I switched to a new company and I never have problems anymore. SBP is horrible. read more

We had our pool designed and installed by Sky Blue so we decided to use them for weekly service after install. There is one issue with the design but otherwise, we absolutely love our pool. If the review was strictly about the install and design, it would receive a much better rating. The weekly service however, has been lacking in quality for at least a year. We have tried to communicate with them to try and make things better and stay with them, but nothing changed it actually got worse. I know staffing is an issue for a lot of businesses, but the response time is near non-existent. What really needs to happen is they need to stop taking new weekly service customers until they can catch up with the current customers they have to increase their ratings and reviews & create a better business for them. read more

We used Sky Blue for 3 months with no issues. The person was knowledgeable, reliable and did her duties well. Then, we had someone come and leave 1 minute later. Thanks to our ring we knew. This new person arrived 3 days after our weekly scheduled date with no notice of why late, turned on our pool vac (instead of manually cleaning like we pay for), avoided the hot tub entirely, didn't empty filters, and left in one minute. The company said she did all the work, which clearly you cannot do in 1 minute so we had to fire them. read more

I used this company to come out and replace a waterfall that was leaking on my swimming pool. It also had rocks that were flaking off into the pool, leaving dirt . The contractor stated he would replace the waterfall with rocks that would not flake off into the pool and his guys came out and rebuilt the waterfall in August. In October, I noticed red dirt flaking off into my pool again. When I contacted him yesterday, he stated that because I had a saltwater pool that's why the rocks were disintegrating, but that I didn't tell him it was a saltwater pool and he wanted $1200 to come out and take down the waterfall. Or I could replace my saltwater system with a more complex chloride system. Because he stated that the rocks would not flake and they do, he won't do anything about it stating it's my fault. Everyone has been great from Denise who assisted with getting my service scheduled after the horrible Feb storm, to Jacob and Joseph who went above and beyond to stay and work all day on my pool to get it open, cleaned and operating. I called to simply have the cover removed, pool opened and cleaned. Turned out I needed to baffels for our filter and a lot more work after this winter to get our pool cleaned. We hired Sky Blue Pools to do an upgrade to our pool one of the worst mistakes I have ever made David Banks is a typical salesperson tells you everything that you want to hear famous saying " TRUST ME" once you have an issue he is great and pointing the finger back at the customer blaming anyone but himself.This company including the owner Mr.Wall could care less once they have your money!! The communication between David and the sub contractors in terrible if you point out an issue with the construction David will offer to download an app for you on your phone so you can communicate with the workers who speak or understand no English.David spoke to my wife like she was a dog yelling at her blaming us for his lack of communication.We like to use local contractors to support their business but that was huge mistake.this 3/4 week remodel is now approaching 3 months and we still have issues not resolved and no answers from the owner or his sub contractor on getting this taken care of.RUN THE OTHER WAY !!!! read more

Do NOT do business with this company. After refinishing my pool and bbq they not only went over budget and 2 months over time period, they destroyed my brand new bbq equipment. The owner came out and agreed and said he would replace fully. Then he stopped answering my calls, the secretary kept saying it was on order, then she stopped and answering my calls. I have been using Sky Blue pools for over a year and they are amazing! My pool guy Tony always leaves a card to let me know exactly what has been done. He also is an animal lover and brings my pug treats along with my neighbors dogs that bark and say hello every time he's here. He even brought my dog an igloo doghouse and refused to let me pay him for it. Denise is also great with communicating and they keep notes and walk me through things to educate me about my pool for free. They make sure I save money for repairs or service where they can. Their pricing is very fair! I had to replace my liner because another company did not do it right the first time and I was reassured they back up their service and if I need to replace it again prematurely that they guarantee their work and even willing to sign a statement if needed to reassure their work. I am a single mom with a tight budget and they don't try to oversell or over repair when it's not needed. Going with Sky Blue pools after having unreliable companies and individuals has been the best decision I have ever made. It's rare to find a company that doesn't try to scam you or take advantage of an ignore pool owner. I highly recommend them! read more

Terrible customer service Denise charged me double what the pool guy Jacob quoted me! $433 for an algae bomb really! I used them one month and am really angry at the way they have no regard for thei customers. Jacob thinks he can just come in your backyard any time he wants on non service days with an attitude like he doesn't have to answer for it. Denise doesn't tell customers prices of services just surprises you with a big bill. Do yourself a favor do not use them! Absolutely the worst as far as customer service and communication. Apparently the original quote did not include all the work that we discussed and that was measured for. That was never communicated to us until I was told the check was for the wrong amount on the last day. It took longer than the 10 days stated on the quote. It was supposed to be complete on Friday and on that day I was told it would be ready by Sunday. Sunday came and went and the mastic had not even been started. There was no weather issues during this time. Absolutely zero communication from the company at any stage of the work. And, I still have holes in the mastic and a lack of response when attempted to contact them. Definitely do not recommend. read more

Great service!! They come and clean our pool once a week, the guys are always here same time every week. Every guy that comes to our house is really nice. One time the guy actually jumped my car after one of my kids left the lights on. Thats way above and beyond customer satisfaction. Would highly recommend this company. I had sky pool come out drain my pool, acid wash refil and add checmicals. I actually had additional work but unfortunately after asking the same questions two or three times without recieivng a quote I decided to wait. The person came out and drained and cleaned the pool. "Pretty good job" and refilled. Problem here is even though I was advised chemicals were added they were not. within 2days it was going green and I started fighting the algea. No mater how much chlorine I added it did not help. I ended up having someone else come out and was advised that was because their was no acid or conditioner so the money I spend on all the chlorine was basically wasted. I give this two stars because I have used sky blue in the past and the owner "Kirk" came out and done the work and did a great job, very knowledgable. Aftter this experience I tried to contact kirk but after playing phone tag twice Kirk ovviously decided he did not need to puruse and did not take the time to ensure he spoke with me in person and give him the opportunitty to expain the problems I encountered because of one of his workers. I would recommend NOT doing business with this company based on promises not kept. Sky Blue recently replastered our existing pool. The finish recommended and applied is very attractive and we hope lasts for many years forward. However, the company did not follow the process that they stated they would, causing us to wonder whether the final product would have been better had they done so. The promised process called for about a week to 10 days of curing the plaster. This included: 1. daily brushing (done completely only on the first day and somewhat well on one other day; other days employees barely touched edges before leaving after a few minutes); 2. replacing acid after several days to ensure curing (employee brought acid level down with some soda ash, but pool readings were still acidic, then he never added back acid to facilitate curing process); and 3. removing filter screens twice after chemicals added to pool to ensure dislodged plaster did not clog screens (this step not done at all; when pool pressure skyrocketed, we removed filter screens to find large chunks of plaster, but, worse, no DE powder had been added to the filter meaning pool was not being filtered at all), We would not contract with this company for any work, including basic pool maintenance, in the future. read more

Whoever said this company is "awesome", probably works there. They should be selling used cars because that is how they operate. The owner, Kirk, is rude and all he cares about is screwing you over. We upgraded with them by over $7000 and had problems from the beginning. The workers showed up without warning, manually pulled our electric gate open (which is broke now, and after we gave them the gate code), numerous delays because they had other jobs scheduled, and pool lights that do not work. They fired their electrician halfway through the job and then said it was our problem to fix the lights and it was not included. We had numerous filters that had to be replaced (they were new to begin with) that the plaster apparently busted. Our timer then quit working at the end of the renovation and we had to replace that. Put your track shoes before signing with them because you need to run away as fast as you can. There is a reason for all the (1) star ratings.
