We have followed Vita since 2018 when her studio was located out in south Fremont and have continued with our younger kid at this new location. Both kids love her style and are super engaged with her instruction. The classes are about 50 minutes long but within that time, parents and children are encouraged to sing, dance, create music, learn culture, and just have fun. Parents are strongly encouraged to model for their kids. During holidays, there are typically special songs taught and sung together to celebrate. Many of the songs are originals or renditions of classical folk or children songs. Especially impressive with the interpretations between other languages and Chinese Mandarin. It's amazing what Vita can do with an instrument - guitar, ukulele, drum, piano, xylophone, steel pan, didgeridoo - you name it! She is truly an inspiration for young musical minds and a wonderful mentor for parents. The space is extremely clean and safe for kids. The soft floor matting is comfortable for kids to be on and the walls are decorated with colorful pictures to keep the kids engaged. There's a clean and stocked bathroom and cubby space for shoes. Easy parking as well makes for hassle-free classes. For any parents with young ones 6 and under, I highly recommend checking out Early Start Music. With Vita at the helm, you are in good hands and the experience you and your child gain will foster deep understanding and appreciation for music for years to come!

We have spent the last 8 years in this daycare starting when my kids were still babies drinking only breastmilk and formula. She has seen my kids through each milestone transition. Sandra is so thoughtful and intentional about how she cares for the kids from what she feeds them to how she teaches them she cares about every last detail. Sometimes we would be too in a rush in the mornings and we would send our girls with messy hair all loose, she and the other teachers on staff would also take the time to make sure the girls hair got tied so that it wouldn't be in their face all day. She also did the heavy lifting during my kids potty training which was such a relief for my family and we were so grateful for because even when we wanted to sometimes we just weren't able to dedicate the time to be intentional at potty training at home. When it comes to learning, the kids arts taught songs, numbers, letters, and even basic phonics! I cannot recommend her enough. If anything I'm sad that my kids are all graduating out this year.

For Easter, the easter bunny hid eggs for the kids to find. For Christmas, she hosted a holiday party for all of the families where Santa came to read & give gifts to the kids & take pictures. We decided for our son to stay with her daycare because not only was her home close to ours/close to a park, but she has a great outdoor area for the kids to run around, climb, and jump. Both kids started around age 2 and 2.5 in Miss Margot's class, and she was such a blessing helping both of them adjust to preschool life and deal with separation anxiety. She's such a caring and motherly figure - the school is so lucky to have her! The school is a great place overall with a very loving staff. They offer a very homey type of environment with enough rules to help kids adjust. They also are open to feedback and meeting families where they are at based on a child's learning style. We love that the class sizes are so small, so that children are able to get more attention and support from the teachers! Both of my kids flourished so much after attending HCP, and we are so thankful to the staff in helping them get there. The school looks a bit dated from the outside, but don't let that deter you. They are excellent at maintaining and cleaning the facility. Bathrooms are brand new and the outdoor playground structure is covered with shade, and also on the newer side. There are plenty of toys and bikes for the children to use during recess time. The classrooms are also well decorated with love, and care is taken to showcase student activities on the bulletin boards, which is a nice touch. The school is very flexible on vacations and when children have to leave early and/or miss a day if you communicate with them. Call the school and tour it today!

My son was so shy when he started and barely talked at school, but after the teachers consistently showed him love and patience, he's been doing really well and gives them hugs every day. They also do fun projects for the kids which my son enjoys presenting to the class and gives him confidence. My son learned a lot at the school and can even read letters and short words now. My son attended Kidango Carlson Center from May 2021 through the end of Dec. 2021…read more I am so very grateful to Teachers Aalya, Kristian, Ana, Ping, and Jenny for being so kind and patient with my son, who was diagnosed with Speech Delay and borderline ASD. Their kindness and care really helped my son to slowly open up and started interacting with his teachers and peers. Before attending Kidango Carlson Center, my son was at a different daycare/preschool institution. I was told he was not interactive with the teachers or peers there. The first time I spoke with Teacher Aalya, who was the center director at the time, I was very nervous since my son was just diagnosed with ASD and I was hoping to find a center that can help him. Teacher Aalya was so patient and kind in answering all my questions. She was so kind with me during our phone conversation that I knew right then I would be sending my son here. This is one of the best decisions I have made. On my son's first day at Kidango Carlson Center Teacher Aalya sent me photos on how my son was doing. To my surprise, he was playing alongside with other students on the slide, on the tricycle, and even playing house/dolls. When I came to pick up my son who was attending part-time, I saw and heard Teacher Kristian singing the clean up song to the kids. My son eventually started singing the same clean up song at home even after Teacher Kristian had gone to another branch. In the first month at Kidango, Teacher Ana told me how he would try to non-verbally indicate to her what he wanted which greatly surprised me. Over time, he seemed to have bonded with her as well as Teacher Ping, Teacher Jenny, and Teacher Aalya too. During my son's time here, I love being able to talk to his teachers directly and getting a glimpse of how he was playing when I came to pick him up once the part-time program ended. All his teachers were very kind in answering me when I ask them how his day went. They would even give me suggestions on what I can do at home for him. I also love that my son seemed comfortable here and was beginning to open up more socially and verbally to his teachers and peers. I wished he could have stayed here longer but it is a bit too much for him to attend both here and another preschool for IEP & therapy services (he qualified after 5 months at Kidango). Recently, my son was re-evaluated and he scored under the cut-off for ASD and just needs more speech improvement. I truly believe my son's time here with Kidango Carlson Center played a major part in helping him start the process of coming out of his shell by providing a patient, gentle, and kind environment. I felt he got more out of next preschool services thanks to having gone to Kidango first. Note: Other things I love about this preschool not mentioned earlier, my son loves their breakfast menu & I love the Learning Genie App where the teachers will update photos/activities when they can.
