Oh My! What a disgrace. Do NOT believe the ads. This place is poorly organized and ran. Woof! The food is painstakingly hardly edible. Lesson learned. It is unreal how much you have to pay for low budget quality services. Don't waste your time and money. I truly believe this place is under reported on the negative experiences people have at this place. More people should speak up and it that is you then post an honest review. THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME!!!! Came here with a college ministry group and did not expect for them to have so much to do. We went in February so unfortunately we could not do any of the water sports. however, the things we could do were great. Zip lining, giant swing, ropes course, archery, games, a giant maze, everything. I definitely have to go back during the summer so I can experience the blob and canoeing. The camp site was very clean and even though we were in the middle of the woods we felt safe. The cabins we stayed in were pretty average. Bunk beds, 2 showers and 3 toilet stalls; also kept clean. The workers who were over the activities were very enthusiastic and fun. The food was DELICIOUS! Again, I unfortunately was not able to experience the breakfast but the lunch was off the chain! All of the meals I did try had me hankering for more. The cafeteria was spacious and nice. They have a nice main building great for conventions and classes and other things. They also have free wifi in the main building. Next to that is a gym that offers sports equipment and games. Really the only gripe about this place is how hard it is to find at night. They need some lit signs or something because we got lost going in. Other than that, everything was perfect. The cabins are great, amenities are great and the site is clean and pretty. Definitely come stay here! read more

Wonderful place to bond with my children. They are getting too busy for their dad now but we spent several weekends here together. Some great memories and wonderful experiences. This is a great faith based camp and I would encourage all parents to do a weekend with their child here. read more

Wow! Would you like a weekend where you can take you kid and let him or her run like a wild animal for an entire weekend? A weekend jammed with activities like zipline, canoeing, archery, rope climbing, horseback riding, laser tag . . . . building a camp fire with your son or daughter and 30 of their closest friends? Well this is THE place!! When my kid's school offered "Dad's weekend" I immediately signed up. I had NO idea what I was in for! About 20 dads and 30 kids crammed into a "cabin" with 25 bunks (no much wider than my shoulders), 2 crappers and three showers. OH. MY. GOD! I knew at once I was in for a miserable time! My son, who is 5 now, saw it the complete opposite way, and THAT dear Yelpers, is why I came. For him to have a great time. And a great time he had! If you come, you need to bring EVERYTHING with you! I missed that part of the memo!! GRRRRR!!!! Bring towells, soap, whatever it is you think you will need. The camp does provide all the meals, but of course we "cooked out" over the fire one night! Dinner was hot dogs and marshmellow Mmmmm (a/k/a gaaagg!!!). But the kids were going crazy with delight! How can you say no? After a mostly sleepless night during which the kids took turns keeping eachother awake, it was time for breakfast at the mess hall. San shower I might add! Seriously, at least they had unlimited coffee for the adults! I drank about 7 large cups!! After that, it was one activity after another, all day long!! OMG the kids were delierious. Sunday was a non-event, just pack up and leave. I bailed and snuck out Saturday night (bad daddy, bad daddy). This was probably the best weekend of my kid's life, seriously! And he's had a lot of great weekends!! Come check this place out if you have the opportunity!! read more

What can I say that hasn't been said already? This is a wonderful campsite with SOOOOO many fun and active activities! There are water sports, archery, a maze, laser tag, games, zip lining, ropes course, giant swings, and probably a bunch of other stuff that I am forgetting. I have been trying my hardest to get my difficult family to plan a getaway vacation here. Come next summer I will definitely try again. I want to come back! The owrkers are fun, the food is great and the cabins are clean. The exercise you get just by trying to get around this place is a nice little workout because of the hills and if you stayed for an extended amount of time you could probably lose a pound or too. If your kind of a wimp it may get scary at night because of the darkness of nature, there aren't a lot of street lights at all. But if you're group is having night activities, it isn't much to bring the recommended flash light and follow the trail. just watch out for the werewolves! mwahahahaa! Ok kidding, no werewolves. I felt really safe there.Even in the darkness. More people should come here! This place is great! read more

My daughter and I went her for a Friday night through Sunday retreat. This is an amazing location. It reminds me a lot of Girl Scout camps we've been to, but even better! I'm listing my top 15 favorite things, but there is so much more! 1) it's a huge property with so many different activities to participate in 2) the food is really good - particularly enjoyed the waffle bar on Sunday morning! 3) the staff are so caring and friendly 4) it's a beautiful location 5) it's really clean compared to a lot of the other camps we've been to 6) the gift shop is nice 7) the check in lodge is fantastic 8) the food lodge is very nice, too 9) the zip line is a scream 10) the big swing is a must do 11) the big bouncy pillow is a fun gathering place 12) Who doesn't like target shooting? 13) lazer tag is an absolute blast! 14) campfire by the lake with s'mores - perfect 15) gathering room at our lodge was fantastic. I'll post pics because there is just so much more and can't wait to go back this fall to do some of the things we didn't get a chance to do last spring - horseback riding, swimming, mini-golf, archery! read more

Head Lice! We've spent most of our time over the last 5 days, and a few hundred dollars, dealing with head lice for the first time in our lives. I mentioned this to my colleague at work, and he jokingly asks, "What, did he go to Sky Ranch?" And, I say, "Yes, why did you ask that?" He says, "They have a reputation." Had we known, we would have taken some additional precautions (mattress covers instead of just a sheet set, plus the spray that kills lice), or not had him go at all (not going wasn't really given as an option, but then again, we can still make our own choices). Dealing with head lice at home is a massive undertaking that we NEVER want to deal with again. Two good reasons to share: Friendly words of warning. And, I'm really quite angered by this. I'll wrap up by mentioning that we don't know "for sure" that our son got head lice at Sky Ranch. Based on the incubation period for lice, and our lice-free life up to now, we suspected it was from Sky Ranch. But, when my colleague asked out of the blue about Sky Ranch and mentioned their reputation for head lice, it moved me to a much more certain point of view. . .enough to warrant writing a review. read more
