For me, making a liquor store run is not always as straightforward as picking up groceries. My first thought is: "I am having guests over, and I need something that will please everyone." And, unless you are dead-set on a particular bottle of booze, walking into a liquor store and figuring out what to buy can be a bit overwhelming for you too. From store layout (that allows customers to navigate the shop easily and quickly find the products they are looking for), engaging displays (with variety and quality products), to events, -- Sky's Beverage Depot has it all. Many liquor stores lack an array of drink mixers and accessories. However, The Sky Beverage Depot offers the at-home cocktail drinkers the necessary ingredients available for purchase in-store: soda, salt, juice, and different non-alcoholic mixers -- just to name a few. In addition, for consumers who want to make the least number of trips possible, The Sky's has larger liquor bottles and cases of beer, not only six-packs.  In my opinion, the only way to develop your palate is by trying new things. So, the store is offering smaller serving options as well as in-store tasting. Shoppers interested in more alcohol-free spirits and low-calorie alcoholic beverages or alcohol-infused versions of healthy drinks will be satisfied with a wide variety of hard kombucha (my favorite is Strange Beast), sparkling wine, hard seltzers, and even cannabinoid (CBD)- infused beverages.  It's not a secret that alcohol is one of the most common gifts given. A nice bottle of whiskey or fine wine is nearly universally enjoyed and a safe gift to offer no matter the occasion. You will find pre-packed gift boxes for any occasion.  Plus, The Sky Beverage Depot app makes buying decisions from the store more accessible and enjoyable if you do not feel like leaving your house.

Nice people. Outstanding selection of pretty much anything you would need especially mezcal and whiskey. Reasonably priced. Check it out.

Truly enjoy their new space, the bottle shop, always have had solid draft beers, the mostly delicious food in the kitchen (especially the burger!), the service is generally above average, the outdoor space is excellent, they have a cafe with solid breakfast options and the bathrooms are stocked and clean! I strongly recommend going there and enjoying it for all that it is! Why not a 5-star review?! Well... The one star ding is due to not being presented with the total bill with details at checkout, just being presented with the Toast handheld with the gratuity page displaying, so you really do not know what 18%, 20%, 22% etc., is based on or if you want to do something custom. Turns out it's based on the total bill, including tax. Which, I'm sorry, I do not tip on tax, just as I would not be tipping on any fees added to any bill from any business. I firmly believe that tips should be based on total bill BEFORE taxes and fees. I understand that there are those who are on the opposite side of the coin. That's fine, you do you, I do me. Go and have a great time; but, be aware!

You order at the bar, take your drinks and your food is brought out to you. The ambiance is a tad cold with the high ceiling so it's best experienced with a crowd.

I was so excited that this was one of the few stores in Chicago that began carrying Shiner Bock when it came to the city! and at a reasonable price too. The only thing I hate is that you have to spend over $10 to pay with a credit card which when I buy a 6 pack of Summer Ale doesn't work out, so fine...through in a small bottle of Captain Morgan...no wait...at that price might as well go up to the larger one, more worth the money. Dammit! I've been had again!! Only down sides are - this place is fully of sweaty disgusting Cubs fans on game day for hours before and after. But that's life in Wrigleyville! And the guy that works here has zero personality. None. You say 'hi, how's it going?' you barely get a grunt if anything. One time he asked me how I was doing and I about fell on the floor. Since then, nothing...but it's right there under the El and if I'm feeling lazy and ride to Addison instead of taking a nice walk from Belmont (stopping at Gold Crown Liquors on this walk) then this is the place for me!
