My review is for the summer camps - we have not taken any gym classes here. My kid is on the shy side and he had a fantastic time (twice) doing the ninja camps there. The gym is huge and has a foam pit, balance beams and a climbing wall. The staff is so kind and energetic and accommodating as one week we were only able to do three days and they worked with our schedule. We look forward to doing camp here again! read more

My oldest goes to preschool and takes a gymnastics class once a week, my twins toddlers take a tumble class on Thursdays. My preschooler loves her teacher Ms. Lynette and we wish we could have her every year forever. We enjoyed the Christmas event with Santa, singing, and crafts. All my girls love their coaches and classes. One of my toddlers is very shy and it took months to warm up and is now a fully confident toddler. We have a great experience from the start. read more

Our experience at Sky Valley started out positive, then took a turn. My four-year-old daughter began leaving her tumbling class briefly to "visit" me in the viewing area. I asked her teacher, Jaime, how she would like me to handle her leaving for a couple minutes. Jaime said it was really up to me. My daughter easily followed Jaime's instructions otherwise and was very focused while in class. Suddenly, the teacher was switched without notice and the new teacher had other issues with my daughter (none of which I actually witnessed while watching every minute of every class). Instead of speaking with me, this teacher had to director talk to me. In my opinion, the director approached me using very poor tact, advising me how disrespectful my daughter is, how much trouble she was causing and how much of a liability it is, etc. She clearly did not observe my daughter during class. I was a little blindsided, as nothing positive was said about my daughter. I agree my daughter leaving class was not ideal, but felt berated by the way the director addressed the situation. Feeling like we weren't welcome, I calmly advised her we would go ahead and withdrawal immediately. She seemed surprised. Another staff member added that they "just want to communicate these things with parents." If that were true, I believe the teacher who works with my daughter weekly could have talked with me. Instead, it was someone who clearly did not know anything about my daughter and had no advice or possible suggestions. We continued my daughter's ballet and will opt for another gym next summer. My credit card was charged a month and a half in advance and I was advised I have a credit if we want to return. I'm not going to bother trying to get a refund, as it would likely be a waste of time. Another upsetting situation I witnessed before my daughter's withdrawal involved a group of pre-teens during their summer camp. Apparently, one boy damaged a piece of equipment by goofing around during some of the group's exercises. The instructor stopped the entire group of about 30 kids, lined them up and yelled about the damage, respect, etc. The boy was berated in front of his peers and ran out, crying. Seemed to me that could have been handled better as well. read more

Only been here once and that was enough. We brought our 4-year-old for Parent's Night Out tonight. When we picked him up, we noticed a big bloody scratch on his cheek and assumed that maybe he'd been careless while playing. When we got in the car, we asked him how he got it and he said that a boy "squished" his face. As we drove along, he added that another boy was "punching him all over." I asked him if he told a coach what happened and he said he did, and that all the girl told him was "I know." By the time we got home and I could set him on the counter and get a good look in the light, we saw a bunch of scratches on the side of his neck, in addition to his cheek. I'm disgusted, horrified, and given other reviews of this place, I'm not expecting them to do anything about this to protect young children in the future. I thank God that nothing worse happened given that they don't appear to separate age groups at all, and the kids are supervised by young teens. Steer clear of Sky Valley for your child's sake. read more

This gym has been very supportive as I navigate through figuring out being new up here in Washington - Elaine has been patient with me, and the girls have really enjoyed their classes at the gym, finding different ways to grow in their abilities. Andrea has been very helpful at the front desk and as one of the cheer coaches. Overall a really great place for my girls to be involved as we try to get to know people up here. My daughters are so well cared for here! I have one in cheer and one on the gymnastics team. The coaches are knowledgeable and encouraging, the front desk staff are helpful and patient, and the owner really cares about the whole child. My girls have learned physical skills of course but more importantly they have learned sportsmanship and the joy of being part of a loving team. As a teacher and a mama, I cannot express enough the value this gym has brought to our family. read more

I wish I could give lower stars. So disappointed in the whole experience for my daughter last night. I signed her up for the beginners tumbling class. She was so excited and so nervous. We arrived and not a single teacher came over to welcome her. Literally just threw her to the wolves. I paid the $40 registration but she got the first class as a "free" trial. She began stretching and running with the other kids but was confused with the stretches. Her class also had three other new kids and then 6 kids who had been there for awhile. The teacher helped her maybe twice but then would turn her back and not watch or encourage. Then they setup 6 stations where she quickly explained and let them go. My daughter looked up at me like "what do I do?" And I had to shrug. Another girl went and asked the teacher to help her to which she replied "I showed everyone she should have been paying attention." NOPE!!! She's 6 and this is her first class ever!!! She tried to help my daughter but was expecting so much more out of her, and I could see my daughter tearing up. So I yelled down and asked if she wanted to leave, to which she nodded. We were there for 24 minutes. The coach came to the front desk and I told her this was way too hard. She said "sorry it was so hard for you...." yeahhhhhh.... she also said she would refund the money when they called in the next day. They did call today but I've been informed that the $40 is non refundable and it says on the website. Soooo I feel a little lied to. Even if it says it on your website, have common decency to refund a poor girl that didn't even stay the whole time. Very disappointed with the whole experience. Would not recommend for beginners. They have very nice facilities and staff. We did one of their recent Groupons for a Week long camp. They offered many choices gymnastics, stunts, cheer, and more. We opted for their Cheer week, my daughter learned many things. We will definitely do one or two of these next summer. My only recommendation would be to have the kids learn a cheer routine for the week or something to chow the new cheer skills they have learned. read more

I started taking my daughter here 4 years ago. We signed up for a mom and me tumbling class when she was almost 2. It was great for her coordination, and she loved every minute of it. I enjoyed watching her try new things, and the excitement on her face when she did something new, like a somersault, or flipping upside down on the bars. (with a spotter of course!) We often came in for Open Gym time, which is a Bargain! And we took her to Parents night out a few times. We don't like the idea of paying for a babysitter we don't know. But we felt totally comfortable with dropping her off for a few hours so that her Dad & I could have a date night. We've had her Birthday party here, and attended several others here too. The kids always love it! We brought her back when she was older, for Gymnastics classes. they were very accommodating, and allowed us to switch days when there were scheduling conflicts. We love all the staff/coaches here, and I'm sure your kids will too! read more

My daughter has been attending for 2 yrs and she enjoys it. I like the instructors and the reception staff is great about addressing any questions I have. The viewing area upstairs gives great view of everything going on. I also like the arrangement of equipment they have available for my daughter to get experience on. read more

My 3-year old daughter has been taking gymnastics here for 7 months and I am very happy with them. They are reasonably priced and her teacher (Miss Andrea) is so good with the kids. My daughter's skills have really improved and she loves going to "nastics". They give her coloring pages and stamps on the way out every time and also offer Parents Night Out every friday night for a great price. read more

My daughter went to preschool here for 3 years. Love all of the teachers and coaches. Really excellent communication with parents. We recently had her birthday party here as well, it was perfect. 1.5 hours playing in the gym, the school supplies the cake and decorations, and cleans up! Never send your kids here. The coaches were ignorant and lied to me when i voiced my complaints. My son came home with welts and bruises all over him. On a 90 degree day, they walked with 40 kids and 3 coaches 9 blocks to the park and wouldn't let the kids sit in the shade, the 5 to 13 year olds were all in the same class, doing the same activities that my 13 year old daughter found difficult. My son and daughter both went and did not want to go back. When I called and told them issues that I listed here and more, they lied. When I told them how my daugher disliked it so that much she didn't want to go back and asked for some of my money back, seeing as how expensive it was, and my daughter only went one day, the lady snapped at me, told me that "If your daughter really hates it so much, she just doesn't have to come back.", Took my daughter off the list, and refused to give me any money back. I am extremely disappointed at their service and care of the children, not to mention their attitude toward customers. read more

it was okay. i learned and improved a lot, but they were a little unorganized and the teaching wasn't the best. some of the things we did were too advanced for me (as i had recently moved up a level) and i received little to no instruction on how to go about doing them. I taught myself how to do some of the things, on my own trampoline at home. it wasn't the best experience, but i did improve a lot, so they must of done something right, but I'm quitting soon. read more
