The sheer variety of isolation exercises possible here should excite any intermediate/advanced lifter! * incredible, well designed space surrounding the machines for free-weight activities, bars for deadlifts and old fashioned bench presses, enough high quality ROGUE benches to go around. * an upstairs area which provides additional machines, as well as empty space for stretching, personal stretching, etc. * limited selection of cardio machines that face outside This gym is very clearly targeted to serious fitness enthusiasts and is probably not a great place for the cardio-only half-asses lifting crowd. The price tag does help weed out the unserious, and I appreciate it! Thank you Kim and Jordan for creating such an amazing space, with fantastic energy and amazing equipment. When I hear "24 Hour Fitness," I naturally expect the gym to be open 24 hours. However, this location's hours are 5 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m.-8 p.m. on Friday, and 8 a.m.-8 p.m. on weekends. This may not be an issue for everyone, but it caught me off guard. I showed up to work out at 9 p.m. on a Friday, assuming the gym would be open, only to find it closed and had to drive to the Lynnwood location instead. Other than that, it's a great gym--I just think the name can create some confusion about the actual hours.

All the staff were great except one manager with great curly hair and a new staff member. The new…read morestaff member did a "welfare check" on me, i had only been sitting in my car for 30 minutes after using the restroom in the gym i had a membership for, and visiting the nearby grocery store. I was annoyed and told him not to do a cops job cause its dangerous. He lied and said i threatened him. The curly haired manager always had it out for me, one time i really had to use the restroom and their scanners werent working. This manager threw a fit after i got out of the bathroom. Ever since hes been looking for this opportunity. The new staff member lied to the police, and the police visited but could tell i was peaceful. Still, the new staff member's lie got me banned cause this manager always wanted to. And that canceled my entire membership. I guess now i have to take legal action, cause while they have every right to end my membership, i think their staff member lying to the police and that having consequences might allow me legal opportunities to seek vindication. Id rather have just had conflict resolution, but this manager would not have been interested in anything but hurting me. Just sad other members are now gonna be harassed by welfare checks and mamagers who protect staff who lie to police.

A friend recommended that I try the Armory out and I could not be happier that I did. The trainers are the best of the best and so accommodating and patient. They've given me the courage to try out new exercises that I had never considered and have helped me scale my workouts to find what works for my body to get really strong and stay strong. Since then, they have followed him up to his new gym! I swung by a couple of Saturdays ago and did a 30 min workout here with the guys. I didn't know what to expect, especially since I have never been to a crossfit gym before. Our workout that morning was more conditioning exercises and I actually enjoyed it! We did the 9 AM workout with Coach Anna. I struggled with push presses and Joel and Anna were there to walk me through the movements when my form was not correct. Thank you! Cody was sore the following days and could barely lift his arms. I was decently sore as well. Meaning it was a great workout and it was only 30 min! It is a great space, very clean, and the coaches are very enthusiastic for you to be there! I'll definitely go by again when I am around on the weekends more!

She has an upbeat energy, and really makes you put the extra effort. She addresses people by name several times during class and offers form corrections, suggestions and encouragement. She is also so knowledgeable! I chatted with her after class about a particular issue I have and she offered some ideas for stretching. Amazing coach! Bothell OTF you are very lucky to have her!!!

Either I don't lift weights, or I do too much too soon and I'm sore in a way that impacts my running. I've been a member for about a month, and I am really enjoying my workouts at Progressive Performance. Signing up for this gym keeps me accountable to strength training and I'm able to keep running in addition to building strength. More than that, I really appreciate how the trainers took the time to know me, my goals, where I've struggled in the past and are there to guide my workouts. The trainers are super personable, the workouts are a good challenge, and every other member I've encountered has been friendly, welcoming, and kind. Oh, and the gym is clean and well-equipped. I am a local Chiropractor and I started sending my patients to Kirk and Grant at Fit4life during the "corrective" phase of their care to gain strength, stability and movement. Grant and Kirk are very detailed during the initial evaluations of each client, both are extremely knowledgeable about how to address muscle dysfunction. One of the reasons I picked Grant over someone at my local gym is that he has numerous certifications and continuing education. He keeps up on fitness techniques and nutrition. He's given me some great ideas for healthy eating. He's very positive and motivating. And he's great at gearing your workout to your goals and health issues. Coach Alison spent more time hard-selling memberships like a used car salesperson than actually coaching the class. It was painfully obvious she only paid attention to the women in the room while completely ignoring me the entire session. I left feeling unacknowledged, unwelcome, and honestly irritated that I even gave this place a shot. Absolutely would not recommend.
