No one wants their kids falling on the hard floors, so they tell you not to climb the dividers, no running, etc... No elder wants you jumping on them while they're trying to get a workout in. All these rules and lifeguards barking at people is for your own safety. Rules are in place for a reason. No one wants to see you get hurt. As for the people in the front desk. I didn't get any attitude of any sort. They seemed nice and helpful too. All-in-all I'd definitely come back again. ‍

However, the bathtub was peeling from the sides, and the ceiling in the shower showed similar damage. The pool closed at 8, which was disappointing, and the restaurant and bar were also shut for remodeling. There was no smart TV, and the internet and TV service kept disconnecting. Since my reservation was non-refundable and we had been driving for 10 hours, we decided to stay. The continental breakfast offered apples, cereal, toast, and make-your-own waffles--no eggs. We've stayed here before when all the advertised amenities were operational, so I felt quite let down.

I found that I do better and recovered well going to the gym on my own and doing what I know I need to do then paying to go to physical therapy which I did at three of the physical therapy businesses here in Las Cruces. I've had more improvement with YouTube, some research, and PlanetFitness!!! I've also been a nurse and a nurse practitioner since 1990/1999. Now retired from that. I was working out when the only gym in the USA was El Presidente. Then Golds gym came around. So, since 1970s. Many in the younger generations don't realize that we paid way back in the 1960s and 1970s, hundreds of dollars a month to belong to a fitness center. We've come a long ways. Actually with the cost now, a fitness center should be packed with people constantly. The past couple weeks I've thought about trying other gyms here in Las Cruces but no, even though I would like to have a dry sauna and a basketball court with classes, I'm staying with the Planet Fitness on Telshore.

I am not, nor have I ever been, a "gym rat". The idea of going to a gym has always incited a bit of…read moresocial anxiety in me. And this one was no different.. at first. Luckily for me, I got to know Dawn Armstrong, facility director, and she helped make me much more comfortable. I started with a few group classes just to familiarize myself with the facility. I tried Tai Chi, Spin, Yoga.. they were all pretty intense workouts! After that, I branched out on my own a little bit and got more familiar and comfortable with the other areas. The best thing about this gym is that, with CaC registration, you get 24 hour access! Although, it is limited to the outer facilities. In the main gym is a free weight room, cross fit-esque room, spin/yoga room, racquetball court, basketball court, and m/f saunas and locker rooms. These only allow access during business hours (0530-2000 M-f and 0730-1600 Sat) The two outer facilities are 24 hr accessible. One is a cardio room with treadmills, ellipticals, stair steppers, bikes, and a row machine. The other is the nautilus equipment room with a full range of machines, dumbbells, kettlebells, and squat bar/rack. It's not exactly a top of the line, super huge and fancy type of facility .. but for WSMR with it's small population, it gets the job done!
