We were very disapointed with our experience with this company. It was three of us, we paid $299 dlls in advance for our jump and when we showed up to the place we were asked for$20 dlls more for fuel, + more money for the gear, so it ended up being more of $350 usd. On top of that, the price for the pic and video were double the price that we got on the phone. The place was far away, when we arrived there was no one to assist you or help you with your paperwork. Everything seemed very unorganized and you have to figure out on your own. The instructors were friendly but you poor cus service. Went with nephew. I was "too big" to jump. I had about an hour drive to the location. Recieved text delaying the appointment right about the time we were leaving. Appointment 8 am was delayed to 9 and then 10. We were told to wait outside and someone would call name. No one called name. When the clouds cleared everyone that had name called and had received gear was rushed to the plane. After some time the owner comes out and says that they couldn't jump and were returning. This is as the first parachute lands. When someone points to it he tells us that they jumped low altitude and tandem can't jump that low. The next arrival is a tandem jumper. All of the first group jumped. I complained because wait outside for your name to be called when they weren't calling names or preparing another groups is a failure of communication especially when the sun is shining for some time over miles around the area. So then they call my nephew suite him up less goggles and helmet. No one else who is waiting and hasn't received gear is prepped. The number who have gear is substantially less than the first plane load. The instructor quickly disappeared inside after the gear and instruction. Eventually they tell everyone to reschedule our get refund. This is despite a much larger window of sun than the first departure. What's sketchy about this business? Check in is done via zoom. While professional and nice, if I had to guess they are located in the Philippines. Is this an attempt to evade US law? The waiver basically attempts to endimnify acts up to including criminal negligence and manslaughter. Skydiving accident rates do not justify this this behavior. They tell you to pay your instructor in cash that they provide you because they are "independent contractors". I don't know if this is another attempt to avoid liability, a tax scam, or both. It did not inspire confidence and is too far outside of normal business practices to be acceptable. After disrespecting and wasting customer time they want to keep a $9 booking fee. My nephew doesn't live in town there was no rebooking. read more

The Drop Zone Manager CLEARY HATES his Job and has ZERO People Skills or Business Acumen! I saw him Ignore and Treat Newer Inexperienced Skydivers as if they were Scum of the Earth and proceeded to have some of that Ripple to me when I was asking questions as a New Jumper to the Drop Zone but Seasoned in the Sport. I woke up 3:30am and drove 2 hours for a Sunrise Jump that they were Promoting only to WASTE MY TIME and be met with his Pompous Antics and Embarrassing People Skills. This is NOT a good representation of our sport or how any business should be ran! I WHOLEHEARTEDLY HOPE this place goes put of business. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS CIRCUS! EITHER AS A FUN JUMPER OR AS A TANDEM CUSTOMER! P.s. they let you out on Tandems from 8,000-9,000 feet. The Industry Standard is 13,500 Feet and they have the nerve to eye gouge you with the same price as Full Altitude Jumps! Do you say skydiving is on your bucket list but aren't taking the steps to make it happen? Let me help you! I've been in a similar position for years. My husband recently turned 30 and I wanted to surprise him with skydiving. After researching a couple options, Skydiving Miami was not the cheapest but did seem the most enjoyed. I don't regret it for one minute! Because we went on a weekday, I printed off the online voucher for $20 off the 13,500 dive which makes it the same price as the second tier. Because I don't think this is going to become a regular thing, we splurged on the photos and my husband also got a video which they put on YouTube to share. I think the photos were definitely worth it, but make sure to look at the camera and pose at least once if you want some good shots! I didn't want the camera to distract me from the experience, but really think it enhanced it and now I have something to look back on. The whole experience took about three hours between the training and waiting for our plane to go off, which is what they quoted me from the start. It was easy to make a reservation on the phone. Overall, I felt super safe (albeit a little scared after signing all the waivers!). I would suggest they swap out that video they make you watch at the beginning... Feels super outdated. The biggest surprise for me was how much of Miami I was able to see! You're in Homestead so there's a lot of farm land; however, we did see the skyline and the beach at certain points. While the fall was a minute and the most exhilarating part, we did float for about five minutes and the instructor pointed out important sights. Now c'mon... What are you waiting for?! read more

I came by for my birthday and it was a fantastic experience. From an easy booking process online to the countless reminders and updates via email and text. Due to COVID-19, the Kendall location has been moved to the Homestead airport. It was communicated on the website, via email, and text. The day prior to the jump, a staff member called me to provide additional updates and details for the jump. As outlined, you should always allocate 2-4 hours, outside of any potential weather delays and this is normal. I waited about an hour before suiting up and doing a quick training. My instructor, Angelo, was so fun and engaging! I also had video/pics to document my experience and it was all perfect. I opted to take the pics the same day which was an additional $10 for the USB. If not, there's the option of getting the edited images and videos 2 days later. Overall, my experience was fantastic and I have already shared my experience with friends and family. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ! Especially fun jumpers, been coming here for 5+ years, brought so much business tandem and AFF, new ownership does not care at all. This place became a cash machine, completely disrespecting the fun jumpers. On top of that, all jumps are only at 10 000 feet now, tandem are the priority, staff is rude and disrespectful, not worth the time. nothing to eat or drink there as well. I definitely recommend driving a bit more and enjoy Sebastian or Clewiston drop zone, where you can still see some smiles and actual FUN jumpers. It's a Saturday in August 2008. 7:30 in the morning I'm getting up to go see my crazy sisters jump off a plane. Everyone who knows me knows I'm terribly afraid of heights so I was definitely not doing this. I was just going as a mere spectator and support system for my sisters if one started feeling doubts. From Boca to Homestead it's about an hour drive. All this time the phone kept ringing, it were my sisters, with Excitement and nerves in their voices, asking me to hurry up so I did not miss their jump. Another call "we're ready, where are you?". So glad I was almost there. Even though I missed one of the jumps, I got to see how excited they were afterwards. I could not just sit there and not do this with them. This was, I think, a once in a lifetime thing, with my sisters - Had to do it. So, without blinking, or thinking, I took out my credit card, signed "my life away", got in the jumper (usually you don't have to wear this but since I wasn't planning on doing this I went on a tube top - so jumper it was for me or a free show for all). Didn't even have time to watch the video, they told me what I really needed to know, and up we went. We were on the plane for a while because of the wind but definitely worth the wait. Here's the tricky part, how to describe what you feel up there. Amazing!!!! Can't really put it into words. While you're flying up, you're just looking out the windows, how high up you are, where you're supposed to land. When they open the plane door it's when it hits you - "I'm really doing this!". The fall is so liberating/ peaceful/ great experience. And when the parachute opens just enjoy they view and relax - you're flying!!! read more

My experience was fabulous at Skydive Miami with Dima. I originally was booked for 8 AM but due to winds they moved me to 9:00am but they were very on top of their text alert so I knew first thing when I woke up and had time to grab a nice breakfast. Got there signed in everything was moved smoothly, people were very nice. Met my instructor (Dima) took Maybe 15 minutes in total to do the safety precautions and instructions and within one hour I arrived, was harnessed, learned the safety press cautions, was up made my jump and was back on the ground safe and sound! I did do the picture/video package and received my pictures/videos just a few hours later! read more

New owner ship is ran by Miami skydiving center they threw out my log book and told me to get lost. I hadn't jump in over year due to covid and becoming very ill the last thing on my mind was to come to pick up my log book. They didn't even call before dumping the log book they wouldn't credit my jumps nor allow to sit down and here my position after spending $3000+ on my AAF course. I have all the bank statements and videos of my jumps Now I'm left to deal with the uspa to see if they can help or just sue the new owners. We'll see read more

As a fun jumper I have to say that I love this dropzone because of its proximity to Miami. The management, on the other hand, is appalling. John (the dropzone manager) has more attitude than anyone I've ever met. He makes up new rules on the spot, will be openly rude to pretty much anyone depending on his mood of the day, and if you question his choices he gives a passive-aggressive snarky comment in return. His moods undoubtedly costs the owner money... not only by compromising the efficiency of the fun jumpers, but he makes tandems uncomfortable by applying this same negative attitude to their experience. I've heard several tandems request NOT to be with John after speaking with friends who went with him, or customers coming up to me saying "did I do something wrong? John made me feel like I was in trouble". Joana (manifest girl) is horrible at her job. A very nice lady but this position is too much for her. Like John, she is rude to customers, delays loads for no reason, and gets overwhelmed when more than 1 person is standing at her desk. She is unable to make decisions in a timely manner which is super frustrating when there is a plane running behind her. Completely unable to think on her feet and costs the company money by waiting too long on approvals for decisions that shouldn't need it (e.g. whether fun jumpers should be on load x or load y). The rest of the people at skydive Miami are awesome. The other tandem instructors, packers, and photographers are all incredibly kind, funny and high energy, exactly who you'd want around a business that is all about positive experiences! If you want a tandem, as long as you have one of the other instructors other than John, you'll have a very positive and safe experience (assuming Joana doesn't make you wait for 2 hours). read more

I asked a few brave souls (or so I thought) in my circle to take on the adventure with me, I either got a "HELL NAW!!!" a "HELL YEAH!!!" or "Ummmmmm, I'll let you know" and the infamous '"I've always wanted to do that!!!" So I called Skydive Miami in Homestead, FL and scheduled my controlled plunge to the earth for 11am. My friend, said she was definitely doing it and she'd call and put down her deposit too (I know I wasn't the only crazy one) I went over and picked up my friend and we made the 50 minute drive down to Homestead to check this event off of our bucket list. On the drive down not one mention was made of what we were about to do because now was not the time to back out. We all made our calls to family and friends to let them know what we were about to do and that they would be notified one way or another. We arrived about 11:20 to the plane hanger, we walked in and met the young lady at the counter, She greeted us with a smile and told us we need to look at a disclaimer/safety/possibly the last DVD you'll see video. After the video we chose our package; Tandem jump from 13,500 feet with photos and HD video (I need the proof). After paying, we chilled for a bit and waited for the instructors to show up. The bus pulled up and I saw about 12 people pile out, all smiles with parachutes bundled in their arms (this lead me to believe that everyone who jumped, landed safely, this put me at ease....a little) We got sized for our jumpsuits, harnesses, helmet and goggles. We made our way back outside and socialized some more, took a few pictures and met our photographers who conducted a quick interview and took some before pictures, shortly after my instructor comes out and introduces himself as Greg (great guy) We hear the plane start up, the ladder is placed next to the plane and then we're asked "Are you ready?" at this point I think it's impossible to turn back without being judged, we leave our moral support friend with our keys (he'll need to get home if anything goes wrong) and all our other belongings. We pile into the plane, instructors first, then us, then about 9 other single jumper and then the photographers (Sugar Honey Iced Tea we're about to do this) The plane starts down the runway and begins its climb, the plane ride up was an experience all its own. The main door for the plane is clear and slides up, so you have an amazing view. My instructor tapped me on my shoulder and told me to put on my helmet and goggles,It's now me, my instructor, my photographer and the pilot. Greg tells me when we get to the door, that if I'm hesitant, grab the metal bar directly over the door and we won't go, if I AM ready; cross my arms across my chest, lean my head back and on the count of three fall forward, I nodded in agreement. We make our way to the door, the breeze is about 15 degrees cooler than on the ground, we're passing through clouds (feels like a light mist every time you do). My photographer is at the door holding on to the overhead bar, the only difference is he's leaning out the door backwards with a big grin on his face and asks me "How you doing?" (Good thing I had on my big boy draws). So the photographer counts down...ONE...TWO...(Greg taps me on the shoulders on the counts)....I lean my head back, cross my hands across my chest.....THREE.....and fell forward...... read more

Exhilarating, weightless, and free!!! A must do bucket list adventure! Sky-Dive Miami was professional and made a semi-nerve wrecking adventure into one of the most relaxed, euphoric feelings I have ever experienced! Our group of 10 had an 11:30 appointment but it took an hour and a half before the first group of 3 huddled into the small plane to go up for the experience of a lifetime. We all chose HD photos and video to be taken - paying an additional $129 to the group rate of $220. My pictures came out FANTASTIC but my video didn't come out (apparently my photography bumped his GoPro video cam as he was jumping out of the plane). We did the 60 second free fall at 13,500 feet.-"Go BIG or go home" I always say. During our jump, we had visibility from Downtown Miami to Key Largo.... It was an AMAZING VIEW from that high up! The cool thing about Sky-Dive Miami is if I want to jump a second time, I can experience the thrill again but for only $129 (all you've got to do is bring your dive certificate)!!! I just may get addicted to sky diving !!! Cons: -If you weigh over 220, you can't jump. Get with the program Sky-Dive Miami and get the gear for the tall husky guys!! My husband couldn't participate -Wait times are grueling. Our group was punctual and arrived at 11:30 for our jump. The final group finished their sky dive adventure at about 4PM. Me and my boyfriend went skydiving for the first time on vacation and we were both super nervous (and very excited) and the whole staff was really reassuring and settled our nerves, just by the upbeat vibe they gave off. A bit of a language barrier with some of the instructors so they do a lot of the instruction pretty hands on, which was comforting. A bit more expensive than doing it at home would have been (St. Louis), but the views were well worth it. 10/10 recommend. We are already thinking about going again! The video package is definitely worth it but we skipped the picture package because we just took screenshots of the video. They use newer gopros so the quality is pretty good, and they edit the videos as well so they aren't choppy. read more

My pro, John, really made me feel at ease and he was so positive and down for earth. Lenny, my videographer, was super cool as well. AMAZING!!! Let me start by saying I'm a pretty big chicken. If I can jump out of a plane, anyone can jump out of a plane. I requested the earliest appointment in the morning which is 8:30 a.m. I know it sounds extremely early, but trust me it's better to grab an early appointment. The later your appointment, the more likely you'll have a wait before you actually jump. My boyfriend and I watched a quick two minute video about the possible dangers and consequences of jumping, signed several papers acknowledging the risks, etc.; then, we suited up and headed to the small plane. We each met our tandem buddy; mine was Trevor. Everyone on the plane was extremely friendly which helped calm my nerves. Trevor asked if I wanted to jump and pull the chute myself. I respectfully declined and told him that I had 100% trust in him although I had just met him. I mean, he is the professional, right? I paid the extra fees so that I could have photos and a video of my skydive experience (definitely worth it). The photographer/videographer asked me a few questions before and after my jump which was great because he really captured what I was feeling at the moment so I'll never forget years from now. You have the option to jump from three different heights. If you're jumping, why not jump from the highest height (13,500 ft.), right? The actual free fall lasts no more than a minute before its time to pull the rip cord. Then, you float in the beautiful sky for several minutes. The whole experience is indescribable. I am so glad I went skydiving and wouldn't be against doing it again some time. If you're in doubt... I say go for it! You won't regret it. read more
