I'm literally standing here with my clothes in two washers, covered in soap, and unable to use the pay app they have posted everywhere because it's showing the location is unavailable and the machine numbers can't be used. I asked the staff member here and she told me to use cash or 'oh well' and WALKED AWAY. WHILE ON SPEAKER PHONE WITH THE MANAGER. Seriously? I'm here once a week at least, spending about $30-$40 at a time, and that's the response? Clearly they're not hurting for business, despite all the bad reviews. Anyone got any quarters? Update: took my soapy laundry to the other Skylar location on Telegraph in Dearborn Heights, same issue. The Dexter Pay app doesn't work at either locations. read more

This place is...dare I say it...beautiful! Our dryer broke so we came in to do some laundry. I came in expecting a place like I went to as a kid. This is anything but. It is clean, well lit, has gorgeous Christmas decorations, nice seating and tables, televisions, and everything nice I never expected to see in a laundromat! Although I have a washer and dryer at home I came here with a few large items. I've seen this place driving by, I mean how can you miss it? You can see it's bright glowing interior lights from the next intersection. It definatly sticks out from the small complex it's in. The decore is very modern and inviting. Whoever decorated, two thumbs up. Its cute and homey feeling and EXTREAMLY clean! It even has an air hockey, fooseball table, coffee and free wifi. The prices were not bad. I chose a x2 load washer which costs $3 per load. The x3 load dryer was $1 for 28 minutes. I brought my own soap so I'm not sure what the prices for those were. I noticed you could purchase single use soaps or bottles though. I was hoping I would be able to slide my card to pay for the machines being this place looks so modern but no. They also do not have any way to get cash there. I went into Walgreens in the same complex and got cash back but even they could not give me small bills to make change for the laundromat. That was really the only down side but also it's my fault for not bringing small bills/cash to a place that normally takes coins only. The person working was fabulous! She was very helpful in trying to help me make change. She even started the washer for me with money from the register and added my soap while I ran across the street to make change. Overall... great, squeaky clean place with good customer service. Will definitely return when I need a laundromat again. read more

Very clean laundromat, they give you a different variety of machines the biggest load is 8x then 6x, 4x, 3x & 2x. Only downfall is if you're doing a wash with 8x & 6x they only have 3x & 5x on the dryers unfortunately but other then that everything is great! read more

I needed to wash six comforters, it was my first time using the Skylar laundromat... I have never been to a nicer cleaner open space immaculate laundromat in my entire life. I can't believe how clean and nice and well-kept up this laundromat is... Very clean, quick. Only problem I had was hot on the dryers is not very hot so it took a little extra time.

The washers only wash with hot water even if you select cold, they never have change when I ask for change at the counter , and the big dryers take a long time to fully dry your clothes . read more

As someone who lived in downtown Nashville and college dorms - both without washer/dryer hookups, I've spent a great deal of time sitting in laundromats. Skylar Laundromat was incredibly clean, quiet, and safe. I came here to wash several large comforters and bath mats and was able to do so in a reasonable timeframe - especially with the use of the supersized washers. I was impressed to see an employee on-site disinfecting all surfaces as customers came and went. I'll come back in a few months when it's time to deep clean my home again! read more

Love it!! I won't be going anywhere else from now on. From the moment I parked my car, the dreaded laundry task was great. The gentleman at the counter came out to my car with a cart while I was grabbing my laundry hampers and loaded them up for me. He brought them inside and helped me with the machines, getting change and everything in between. The open layout gives everyone space to do their laundry and fold without having to invade others, and they have lots of room. Washers and dryers are shiny, clean, and up to date. Definitely would recommend!!! read more

Love this place and the service too! It's not the grimy laundromat with shoddy machines at all. This place has excellent machines, great prices and the staff is beyond helpful. We started coming here once because we wanted to wash our blankets. Since then, we have turned to the great staff to do all of our laundry, not because we can't do it at home, but because their speed, cleanliness and superb folding just cannot be beat. Hands down a welcomed change to the laundromats of the past. read more

This was the worse experience I have ever had with any business. I took 4 shirts there and asked if I could have them washed and pressed. I was told yes and paid in advance. When I returned to pick them up they were obviously not pressed. When I advised the lady she said they do not press or iron. She told me that the person who took my order doesn't speak English to good and she didn't know what I wanted. After a long conversation they agreed to give me half my money back. I refused the money. Horrible customer service. I will never return there. read more
