Went to see Black Panther on February 18 for the 6:15p showing. Ordered dinner and 15 minutes later, we were told they were out of chicken tenders. We then ordered the fish and chips to which they replied they were out of as well. I gave up and my daughter ordered the quesadilla with fries and a hummus to start since they also ran out of cheese curds. They were out of the prime rib sandwich as well. They brought the fries and hummus 30 minutes before the end of the movie but didn't bring the quesadilla. We told them to cancel the order. A 2h15m movie at dinner time on Sunday and you can't or don't have any food. What a poor excuse for dinner and a movie. We spent $25 on two tickets and $20 on two soft drinks, hummus and some fries. If you advertise that you serve meals, have them in stock. The movie was over around 8:30 and we were famished. Completely unacceptable. Malco from now on. Such a shame since this is a nice theater and close to home. Eat before you go. Don't count on them providing any more than candy and a drink. read more

I was really excited to go to a newer theatre that serves alcohol in the theater and had reclining seats. This is something normal that most cities have. Upon getting there on a Wednesday at 2:30 pm we were told that they don't serve alcohol. Only Thursday through Sunday at 5 pm. Um ok. That's the whole reason we got tickets to this place. Also their website isn't clear on that. Also the theater is small and as such they should have their seats spaced better. The front row is an unwatchable zone. You shouldn't sit there because you literally can't see the screen. We had the second row because that was all that was available. It wasn't any better. Finally their whole system is inefficient and awful. It's slow, they are understaffed and they don't manage the process well. What a terrible experience. read more

I been to a couple dinner and a movie theaters. However Skylight would rank at the bottom of my list. The food was horrible. My fish and chips were over fried and very greasy. The service at the concession stand was very slow. The popcorn was burnt and covered with butter. They stop serving food and drinks after 10:00 so if you are looking to view a later movie eat before you go. read more

Updating my review after a few more visits. Was disappointed in no wait service until 5pm or later which leaves matinees out however now after trying the food, it doesn't matter. The belly burger was nothing but a chargrilled taste that you can't get rid of for hours. The "filet" quesadilla left us asking "where's the beef" as it was basically just cheese on a greasy tortilla. The tenderloin sandwich was ok but the waffle fries weren't hot and not very good. I do appreciate bringing me refills of my soda. After already paying for the movie for two, we spent another $50 on food. I could have enjoyed a very nice meal downtown for $50 versus this. Still most previews are played with the lights on so people are still talking and I just can't get over the wait staff walking in front of me and talking during the movie. It's so distracting! I love that you cN reserve a seat and I will likely only hit Skylight for matinee when there is no wait staff. I can manage getting my own popcorn and soda. So my advice- Go to matinee Don't order food Stick to popcorn Never get tickets for the front row (waaayyy too close) or the back row (door is stop close and distracting) read more

Wonderful food. Having a drink during the movie is awesome. Why I'm only rating 3 stars? In the main auditoriums I found it odd that the 2 screens are separated by a big curtain. I didn't notice noise funneling between the theaters. However, there was light bleed through each time someone opened the door. With 2 theaters using the same exit, it invariably leads to more distractions when you are on the last row. Anything closer then the last row feels too close to the screen to me. I'd have preferred the seats to be on some sort of angle so I didn't have to strain my neck to view the whole screen. The seats in the main auditorium also were a bit small and put my legs to sleep when reclined. Not the most comfy recliners. Food service was also a bit clunky. What I mean by this - you literally write down what you want and place on a small stand. It would be nicer to have buttons at your seat or something of the sort. I'm sure they'll make enhancements as time goes on. Overall, actual movie experience leaves a lot to be desired. It is fun to have food and drinks during movie. Will be visiting once in awhile due to convenience. read more

This movie theater is absolutely incredible! The staff is super sweet, and my mom, our family friend, and I had a really wonderful time seeing Little Women here. We ordered pizzas, which were absolutely delicious, and the lovely bar manager so helpfully brought them into the theater for us when our hands were full, which was super nice of him. OOO, and they have happy hour specials, which is clutch. The movie itself was really great, but even if it wasn't, we would have still had a great time. I'll be back, for sure! read more

With a full bar and full service menu, this is a nice alternative to the traditional movie cinema experience that some local "competing" theaters simply lack. The theaters themselves are smaller, but that means you get plenty of leg room and it's easy to sneak out during a movie to grab another drink! read more

Like a lot of businesses, it started off great, but it feels like they've let things go the last few times I have been. The beer was warm, the soda was warm, the popcorn was cold and old. The theater feels and smells mustier every time I go, and this time my wife and I left sweating. The only positive is that you do have the ability to eat and drink with your movie, and the seats are comfortable. I truly hope they see these bad reviews and fix the issues they are having. Weds night movie for 4. This new little boutique theater sits near the Bentonville square and across the street from the public library. Parking: we got lucky and got street parking right in front of the door. But I can see it as a big problem when fully booked. There is a lot behind the building but plan on walking across the street or down the block. At least it's a pretty walk. Box office: it's right next to the snack bar. Two little touch screen tablets. We purchased our tickets ahead of time but had never been before so walked up to the box office to check in. They told us to just walk in...I never even took my tickets out to show anyone. So does that mean anyone could just walk in late and find an empty seat? However, I do suggest buying your tickets early as the seats are assigned. Snack bar: prices are typical theater prices. HOWEVER, fountain drinks are self serve and free refills. Win! Theater room: we were in a smaller room. There. We're about 5 or 6 rows and 8 seats in each row. So the chairs are big. Our seats did not recline but they did rock and were big and comfy. Each seat had an attached swing table top, similar to a college lecture hall desk or airplane seat. Each table top had a little number holder attached and a big cup holder. The screen was small but the room was too, so it wasn't noticeable once the movie started. Sound was fine. Not noticeable amazing but no complaints. Wait staff: there were none. I dont know if this was a soft opening? Or they were just understaffed? Or maybe the kitchen wasn't open? But we didn't get the full service experience we were expecting. Overall: this theater is not for everyone. Its upscale and really meant for adults who want a quiet date night with a significant other or friends. Not really the theater to take kids - the bar is out in the open and the seats are way huge for little ones. Its a great concept but still much refining is needed. read more

I thought about it a while before writing this review, and came to see three different movies here before putting pen to paper. Keeping in mind this is a movie theater with the main goal being showing movies, these are my thoughts. Overall, I enjoy this theater. It's in downtown bentonville so parking can sometimes be a hassle, but it's a fun atmosphere compared to most movie theaters. I love that you can get food brought to you to enjoy during the movie, so it makes a movie dinner date night much more manageable on a busy day. However, there were a few things that frustrated me about my experience. The most important thing to note is that you can only place a food order from your seat in the theater prior to the film starting. Once the movie starts, there's no service. This was a change from the first time I went to the theater a few months ago, and definitely annoyed me. I had plans to order an appetizer before the movie, an entre during the movie, and a milkshake to wash it all down in the final hour of my movie. However, shortly after the trailer started a message appeared on the screen letting us know that all orders had to be placed before the movie started. Maybe this wouldn't bother some, but for me this was a bummer. Oh, and if you show up late, your only option is to go place an order food at the bar and carry it into the movie once it's ready. The other major issue I had was that my order was incorrect. I didn't realize how limited the menu was before I arrive, so when I arrived I found that none of the seven or so entrées were to my liking. I decided I wanted a burger, but the only burger offered had a hot sauce on it which I would not be a fan of. Since you place your order by writing it down on a card, I figured that making a substitution would be fine. So, I ordered their signature burger, asking for the hot sauce to be omitted and replaced with mayo. When the burger was brought to me, there was no hot sauce on it. Great! However, there was no mayo either. When the waitress returned to deliver me my cocktail, I asked if she would be able to bring me a side of mayo to which she said that she probably wouldn't have time because she had to get everyone else their food before the movie started. Another waiter came by, and I asked him also for a side of mayo, and he said the same thing. So, I ate my decent, albeit dry, burger throughout the film. I was disappointed. The cocktail was a disappointment too. I'm a lightweight, and after drinking the whole thing I didn't feel the least bit buzzed. However, I would like to let everyone know that the fries were amazing. And hot. Go here for a movie and the extra selection of snacks, but don't set your expectations too high! read more

This place is AMAZING! Went to go see the new spiderman movie to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. When we walked into the theater, the screen was huge. We absolutely loved the chairs and if you sit right you can put the middle arm rest up to snuggle your loved one or turn it into a sofa. I believe our server's name was Timothy and he was fantastic! I go to movies now more than ever since Skylight has opened. Love the intimate size, fully reclining seats in theaters 1 & 2 and the table service. The quesadillas are my favorite, but usually I just get popcorn and M&Ms (gotta put the M&Ms in the popcorn) and a Topo Chico. read more

Did not enjoy our experience here. All the food was mediocre, even the milkshake. How do you mess up a milkshake? The theaters are small and the chairs DO NOT RECLINE in all the theaters. I am so happy we have this place in Bentonville! Moving here from Texas we always went to the Alamo draft house and any other dine in theatre like it and we just couldn't get un-used to that. Before it opened, we just didn't go to the movies here at all. Now that we have Skylight in Bentonville, we go all the time! Rooms 1 and 2 are the bigger rooms with recliner seats which is usually my preference. The other movie rooms are smaller but still very nice and the seats are as comfortable as room 1 & 2 but they don't recline (they do rock), keep that in mind because I would not recommend front row for the smaller rooms. This is our favorite theater in the area. Great location in downtown Bentonville. Get there early enough so you don't have to walk for parking. Either way the other parking lots aren't too far. I haven't tried any of their foods or drinks but it's a very nice, clean and new theater with super comfy seats. I don't like the ones that don't recline so much though. read more

This place is pretty good. Affordable tickets and comfy seats are a hit. Here's a couple things that they could fix. The seats in the large theatre recline. Naturally most people recline the seats. I think they should angle the screen a bit because when you recline the seats the screen is at a bit of an awkward viewing angle. Food was good. Took a little bit to get us the food but it wasn't horrible. Biggest issue is the bathroom. Way to small for the capacity it serves. Overall I'd come back. read more

I finally found someone in the hall who went and got our server who then found our missing food. Food was very overpriced. We were then charged for more than we got. They are misrepresenting their handicapped seating on their seating charts. When arrived was told the handicapped seats that were purchased were unavailable. The theater was nearly empty mind you. So the Black man in the wheelchair was put put the back row all the way to one end. The movie was not posistioned properly on the screen. So the heads were cut off and the subtitles were illegible. The servers kept taking us "out" of the movie by constantly checking to see if we needed anything. Then brought the check to be signed at the apex of the movie. The seats didn't work or only worked part way and then quit all together. Unless offered an incentive to return...it will never happen. read more

Love it! You can reverse your seats online so you know what you are getting ahead of time. Food and Drinks, including alcohol, are available as well as your standard soda, popcorn and candy. Fountain drinks you refill yourself. 2 theaters have comfy reclining seats and two have comfy not reclining seats. With the recliners the first row was a lot more comfortable. You can also order at the bar and bring your food into the theater. Great for family or date night read more

Visited for first time tonight. Was looking forward to having something local similar to other cities. Great building, neat concept and I understand there will be start up pains. For a new start up however, typically ownership keeps a closer eye on making sure things go well so they can stay open. We bought online and when we walked in there was no ticket check in line and we literally could have waltzed right into any screen. We chose to go wait to ask a concession person how we check in. Get into the screen all seemed good before movie. You could see marking on the floor to know what row. If you get up in middle of the movie to run to the bathroom however, there is no lighting to see what row in order to find your way back. Lastly it was freezing in there. To the point where I was ready to abandon the movie. I did go to find someone and relay it was freezing. They related they would try to find how to change temp. (No change during 2 hours btw) The bathroom water only had one temp as well. Ice cold. It made me wonder if they decided to cut budget and not run hot water or heat in the building. To wrap up the review I gave it a 3 as I do think the owners and managers have an opportunity to tweak a few things to make it a nice, relaxing and desirable place to escape for a few hours. I'll give it another try, however like most folks, if I'm freezing half to death and can't relax, I will save my 24 bucks and watch a movie at home. read more

My wife and I went to go see a movie on a Saturday night. Very comfortable seats, and the little table attached to each chair is nice. The adult beverages were reasonable priced, but I wish there was more of a selection of beer. The menu was fairly small, and I hope that grows along with the selection of beer. Our tickets were 11 dollars a piece, and I thought it was well worth it. I thought that having the ushers coming in and out taking orders would be distracting, but surprisingly, it was not. I think that this will be my wife and I's go to theater from now on. I am happy that we tried this place, even after reading many of the poorly rated reviews. read more
