    Happy on the boat

The owner Robert is a really great guy. Super honest, helpful, and just extremely pleasant to work with. They embody the definition of great family owned business. I rented a boat for a day and Robert showed me the best sites to go to as well as where to eat afterwards. Super down to earth, highly recommended, they answered all my questions about boat launch and walked me through how to do it step by step. I met his wife and kid and he shared quite a few stories. Will be back. Rent your boat here and you'll be taken care of.

    They allow pets onboard!

Had an amazing boating experience at Lake Powell. Robert was super nice and accommodating every step of the way. He also did a great job teaching us all the tricks to load and unload the boat onto the trailer (something I had never done before). Everything on the boat worked exactly as expected. If you are new to Lake Powell like we were, I would highly recommend Skylite as they take extra care about making sure you are well prepared to have an awesome time!

I did not rent their boat. What I rent was their RV. It's a super nice and cool RV. And, you don't need to worry about driving the long RV around. It was just set in their parking lot with a beautiful view. The decorations inside were very new. I was lucky to get a chance to get this RV from the owner Robert. He and his son are very nice people. I felt so sorry to break their door openerHowever, they did not mad at me. If I come back to here again, I will rent this place for sure!

This is my second time come to lake Powell , we didn't rent boat last time so we decide to try this time. We are very happy that we chose this rental company, guys from this company are so nice and helpful, when we pick up the boat , the guy shows us a lot of things we need to know about the boat, and when we return it , the guy who named Robert ,which is the owner of this company, very understanding, told us some nice view spot about the lake Powell , and restaurants. We heard about some bad reviews about this previous owner of this company before. But since last year , the new owner, Robert and his father, bought this company, they are changing everything, trying to let every customer happy. If we come back again, we definitely will come back to Skylite!!

My family and I rented a small Bayliner for one day so we could explore Lake Powell. I reserved it a couple of months ahead of time, and the whole process was super easy. When I got there to get the boat, the blower wasn't working, but they fixed it fast and gave me extra time to return it. They were really nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend them.

    Wakeboarding Late November 2015

My son and I decided on a late-November trip to Lake Powell four months ago. We had rented from Skylite a decade ago, so contacted them again. The brand-new owners, Teri and Bob, were great! They were just changing locations, and did the work before we arrived to ensure we could charge our electric car from one of their welding sockets at the new place. When we arrived, they thoroughly went over everything, making sure we were fully prepped to wakeboard behind their 22' Bayliner with tower. Teri even ran back to their house to get us towels, because they thought ours were too thin. The tow vehicle, trailer, boat, and wakeboarding equipment all worked flawlessly. We had the lake to ourselves and had a blast! Here was the real test, though: through an act of carelessness, I damaged the winch on the trailer. I let them know, and pointed out another cosmetic issue I saw related to the accident. Bob and Teri, *at the same time*, said "no!" They explained the second issue was pre-existing. They charged me so little for the damage I felt guilty. Their new location is great, and they are wonderful people. The equipment worked perfectly (until I damaged it, and then it still worked). We will be back again and again!

Kayaking through antelope canyon got to the very back and hiked into the canyon! It's stunning!!

Skylite is the place to go to rent any type of water sport toys. Not only are they the nicest ppl they actually care about your experience and want you to have the best possible time! They give outstanding tips, directions and are so knowledgeable about the lake and how to have fun while being safe. This was my boyfriend and I first time towing, launching, and renting a boat! They completely made it possible for us to do this with their awesome prices and guidance. They beat all other rental company's out of the water. We will only be using skylite rentals whenever we come back to Lake Powell which is going to be very soon since we had such an amazing time! Thank you so much guys you really did make our trip.

If you have vehicle that can tow a boat, I would definitely recommend Buzz Off Power Sports because it is much more reasonably priced than the other companies on the water. When we got to the location, Buzz and Leslie gave us a map and highlighted areas where low water levels were low, which we found extremely helpful and made sure to stay clear of. They also showed us the locations of where we can get fuel and ice. Also very helpful! Those beers can't stay cold on their own! ;) We reserved the Montery 214 powerboat and it couldn't have been more perfect! The boat was in excellent condition, easy to drive, and had a great wave. We went wake-boarding quite a bit that weekend and had to refuel the boat. There's a gas station at Buzz Off, so we didn't have to go through the hassle finding one. Convenience! I will definitely rent from this location again!

We rented two Honda FX-12's for one week in July 2011. They were in great condition, ran strong, and were a blast. The Honda's were on a nice double trailer, and they even offered extra gas cans and anchor bags at no charge. My hitch was a little "tall" for the setup so they provided a lower hitch which worked great. Next time we come back I won't bother looking around for a place to rent my toys, I will just call Leslie and set it up. They are located about 15 minutes from the Wawheap Marina, and 20 from Page. Looking forward to seeing them again soon!!

She walked us through all the essential equipment we would need for the day--including a waterproof bag, water bottles, and life jackets--and gave us a detailed map with some fantastic local pointers. She also took the time to give us a thorough tutorial on how to operate the jet ski, along with some great safety tips and tricks that really helped us feel confident on the water. Tony is such a pleasant, friendly person with a great sense of humor, and she made our day even better. We spent four hours on the water (from 12 PM to 4 PM), and although it was a busy holiday, Lake Powell is so massive that it never felt congested. The main canyon area she recommended was absolutely stunning, and since there were no kayaks around, we were really able to enjoy the speed of the jet ski. While both Elijah and Ellory were courteous and pleasant to work with, we were extremely disappointed with the condition of the boat. The boat appeared very old and poorly maintained. The speedometer only worked intermittently, the steering wheel was sticky, and the steering alignment was noticeably off. Based on the condition of the boat, it did not meet our expectations. Although the staff members we interacted with were kind and professional, the quality and maintenance of the boat were disappointing. They also were not surprised by our experience with Carl's Marine. They said they have heard may scary stories from customers who stated the boats were not running properly and even sinking! She said yes but the benefit of using them was they carried the boards down and up a steep hill. We were there on Saturday April 25th. So we rented two paddle boards and she warned us about the winds. It was like $155. She was nice so we went for it. We get to the site and are waiting around. They haven't even taken the boards off the truck, but we were fine waiting. Layla finally made it up the HILL and had 2 boards taken off the truck and laid on the ground. I asked if any of the MANY men who were there and carrying kayaks down, was going to carry them down. She said no, you carry them. And that hill was STEEP. I figured meh, okay. I was annoyed since we were told they'd be ready for us at the bottom. Layla carried my paddle. Once I saw the hill, I was even more annoyed but I already paid $155 plus $30 entry to the lake. When we got to the bottom, she mentioned when we got back I had to carry it back up. I said I'm not doing that. lol. She held my leash so I could climb on my board. Not an easy task where we were. The paddle boarding was rough but we knew that, the girls at the office warned us. 5 miles later we returned. I STRUGGLED getting off the board and trying to haul it up by myself, my body was shaking and I was visibly exhausted. A young man who worked for this place, WATCHED me struggle. Asked how it was, I said it sucked. He mentioned me carrying the board up that steep hill, while I was shaking from exhaustion and out of breath, and I said "I'm not doing that" and he replied with "why is it heavy?" I did carry my life jacket and paddle...but after that comment I REALLY didn't want to. Layla gave me a water at the top and said to take a breath, I was breathing very heavy. I'd say don't rent paddle boards. You will have to carry them up and down the hill and will get no assistance getting off the board either. But they did carry the kayaks and help those people who also paid like we did, in and out of the kayaks. So maybe rent those and not the paddle boards.

That is a pro move. It was $144 for 5 days that was more than worth it. Starlink gets 6 stars. Their satellite tv setup was janky af and even the pilot couldn't get it to work because cables were literally missing. But that's fine, we're there for the friends, family, views and water. AVOID WAHWEAP MARINA -- WORST VACATION OF MY LIFE…read more We rented two houseboats here mid-July to the 24th. Ours, the Discovery XL, was a filthy, falling-apart wreck that should've been retired or burned years ago. Half-broken range, ripped canvas top, spiders and webs everywhere -- and it reeked like a sewage dump the second we boarded. We had a cleaning crew sent out before departure, and even they told us straight up: the boat had NOT been cleaned before it was rented to us. They did their best to clean the boat and make minor repairs in the one hour they had, but it wasn't enough. There was a raw sewage smell that blew through the A/C vents at random times for hours-- and we couldn't shut the A/C off in 100+ degree heat, so we were stuck breathing it in for the entire trip. Imagine trying to go to sleep and your stuck breathing in raw sewage. On top of that, every single sliding door on the boat is old and busted. The tracks are so warped that the doors are a struggle to open at all. The slider in the back has a broken lock, so it just slides open and shut on its own all day long wasting A/C and letting the heat in-- every door on this busted up boat needs to be replaced. Another employee told us the real problem: this company doesn't actually repair the houseboats. They slap a temporary fix on it and hope it holds. That's exactly what this boat felt like -- a floating liability/ porta-pottie. Josh, the manager, should be fired. Zero empathy, zero accountability. When we complained, he tried to blame US for not asking to switch boats -- even though we were told everything was booked and no one offered us that option. A manager who already knew the boat wasn't cleaned and blames the customer anyway has no business managing anything. Do yourself a favor and rent from Antelope Marina instead -- their boats look like they are actually maintained. Don't waste your time and money on a houseboat from this marina like we did, it was a vacation from hell.

Check-in felt a bit like standing in a slow car rental line. We waited about 15 minutes while a line formed behind us, and there was a form with disclaimers to sign before getting the room key. Our room was in Building 7. The rooms feel dated, and housekeeping seemed inconsistent. We had 2 bath towels, 2 makeup towels, and 1 hand towel, but no washcloths and no pool towels. The front desk said pool towels should be in the room, but there are none available at the pool itself. Our bathtub drain was clogged, so water pooled during showers, and one of the bed frames had something unpleasant on the fabric that clearly should have been cleaned. Amenities were also disappointing for a property charging a nightly resort fee. The hot tub jets were broken, the water wasn't warm, and it looked pretty dirty. The pools are not heated, so they were ice cold in April. Ironically, the hot tub appeared to finally start working the morning we checked out. Food options on site include the Driftwood Lounge, a breakfast deli, and the Rainbow Room for buffet and dinner (reservations required for dinner).
