Dishonest, unprofessional, unacceptable customer service. Broke an office cabinet, broke several dishes, and then there were missing items from the bed. We tried to work it out with the owner. Instead of handling the matter in a professional and service-oriented way, he decided to have one of his employees call us directly and claim that he had a photographic memory. He claimed nothing was missing from the bed. It was a ridiculous conversation. Because the owner was so unresponsive, I had to challenge part of the charge on my credit card. I understand that movers will make mistakes, and that's fine, but when things go wrong, the company needs to stand by its work. This company did not. Stay away. read more

1). Boxes were taped and labeled! Your company was just mad because you did not get to have the time to take and label boxes and charge me for it. It took them about an hour to wrap up my couch and unwrap it and then to unload it in the house took another hour or two and still did not put it where it was supposed to be And the back right leg was broken on it! Totally incompetent movers!!!! 2). Your lead man "CJ"was one of the laziest most useless persons I have ever seen for a mover, all he did was whine and tell me how much work it is, well the moving is hard work that's why I hired you!!! Then he yanked out a shaker cabinet that cost me $400 and twisted it and it does not shut properly!!! I did hire one of the other guys named Josh (that works for your company) that helped move along with his wife Sarah and Josh pointed out to his wife that that was the cabinet that CJ ruined when we moved her. Now that I think about it I need to go to the Better Business Bureau and continue to fill out the information on your company. You are that bad. And taking advantage of an elderly lady you should be ashamed ! 3). The house I moved into is 16 16 ft.², and of the house I moved out of is 980 so you lied!!!!!.... and then I moved into a house it was nearly twice as big as a house I moved out of, you guys were just lazy (wasting time was a perfection). and did not want to go through a little extra time to help me out like you promised you would by putting a label to take the boxes to the rooms that I needed them in. You all are nothing but a bunch of liars and underachievers and slothful workers! I had my bedroom and everything all torn apart just to move that day and you showed up with a small truck and guys whined and did not want to move and then tore my house apart. I would never ever ever ever hire people from your company Skyline Moving ever again and I I think you should be ashamed of yourself! I would've given you a zero rating but I have to at least give you one star to post! Here's a picture of the shaker cabinet that CJ broke! The doors will not shut and it will not stay closed it's completely out of whack, what a little loser he is to break my cabinet and then MAKE me a release form that he is not responsible for any broken or damaged furniture to sign or they would quit working Also this is my couch the leg is broken on it because they were too weak I guess to pick it up or put it down! And here's a picture of my custom cabinets that I needed real experts to take down and put back up that I was promised would happen, but as you can see here they did not put them back up, I should have went with the more experienced moving company. They were punctual, professional, showed great care in packing and preparing all furniture for storage, loaded and unloaded carefully into their truck, and provided top-quality service overall. Joe, Nick, and RJ did a great job moving us to our new place in Fort Collins. They do tell you that they work for tips up front, but man these guys HUSTLE. Including the tip it came in less than the estimate because they went so fast, even with carrying my hundreds of pounds of books upstairs. Every single bad review these guys have the owner pops in to blame the customers for everything. Let that sink in for a second and then decide if you want to be blamed for the companies mistakes or not. They do not own up to anything and are only going to shift blame for anything. They pretend like they offer coverage for broken items but they don't, if you call and try and get coverage for the things they broke they ignore your calls. Before the move happens they try and sell you insurance for the move at a high cost though. They will reply to this and say they never moved me and blah blah blah, like they always do. They pretend like they can do nothing wrong. They damaged my apartment door because they think they know better than myself who told them to remove the legs. They long hauled me, this was the worst part. A trip that takes a normal car 45 minutes took them 2 hours to make. And they charged me for that time too. The driver stated their trucks are in such poor repair they can only do 45 mph even half loaded so that was the reason I was given for the 2 hour trip. The driver told me In had to pay for the extra time but to just contact the business and they would figured it out. I did bring this up in a complaint to the business. They have never contacted me again after many many emails and phone calls and messages. They refuse to do anything for me. They are company that seems to relish in taking advantage of people that do not know any better. They thought they could do that to me but instead I am making it know that they are doing this. Do not trust them. They will screw you over. There is so much more they did but I want to keep this readable. read more

Unfortunately, I had to change my review due to the awful experience we had with this company during our most recent move. We had such a great experience during our first move (In 2019) that we decided to use them again for our second move (In 2021) . Again, they came out to look at how much stuff we had and tokd us it would take 3 guys 4-6 hours for the move. We booked them 2 months before our actual move. On the day of the move, 2 men showed up, one of them who had been with the company for a couple of weeks. When we asked where the third guy was, they said they didn't have a third guy. I told them that we booked the move for three movers and the truck at a certain hourly rate. They got on the phone with their supervisors and chatted for a bit. They came back and told us that there was no way to get an additional guy out there, but they offered us $20 off the moving rate and told us we could either move with them, or we could wait a couple of weeks until they were available to move us with 3 movers. Since we were in a rental, we could not change our moving date. We also have two toddlers that we arranged childcare for so we could get as much moving done as possible. So we had no choice but to move that day. At the end of the day it took the two guys 8 hours to move everything, so we were not able to get as much done as we had wanted to. Also, we ended up paying just as much or more than we would have for the three movers. We are grateful that we actually moved, but were very disappointed in the experience. I expected much better communication from this company which we had used previously. Either a call the day before or the day of letting us know the change would have been appreciated. read more

They asked questions if unsure where to put something. They were extremely careful of our walls and floors as well as our furniture, we had many fragile items and we are not aware of any breakage as they were so conscientious, Their positive attitude carried over to their work ethic. In 26 years we've moved 7 times, Skyline was the best company we've ever worked with. The guys packed us and moved us. It was a big job; it took 5 guys 14 hours to load and unload two trucks. After reading many positive reviews on here, we were hopeful of a great experience working with Skyline to pack our truck, ready for a 1,000 mile move into the mountains. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Their movers packed an expensive wooden bed frame on top of metal garage shelving without blankets in between, which I found to be a shocking decision. They also shoved wooden side tables into the shelves themselves, so they were pinned by metal the whole way. This was done in the middle of the back of the truck, so it was impossible to see once they were done as it was blocked by other items. The wood frame and side tables were of course damaged quite badly after sitting on metal and bouncing around for 1,000 miles. When I took this to their owner, he was very careful to admit no responsibility and ended up blaming the damage on us for not having enough blankets available, even though the movers had 5 left over when they were done. He also hid behind the liability waiver you have to sign, which of course was to be expected, but still a cop out, in my opinion. All in all, I was very disappointed they made no effort to make the situation right, and in fact put responsibility back on us, which I think says a lot about a company and its ownership. Given all the other good reviews on here, I guess my only advice would be make sure you watch the entire packing job the movers do, and come armed with a LOT of blankets - something they won't suggest to you beforehand, but will try and sell you at $10 each once they arrive. read more

Do your self a favor and DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Very unprofessional. They showed up late and damaged a lot of furniture. The owner was just as unprofessional as his employees. Do yourself a favor and avoid the headache. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! The response below is inaccurate. First the piano was placed into the POD by a professional piano moving company. Manny's Piano Movers in Minneapolis. The claim that it was unprotected is an OUTRIGHT LIE. The piano was on a padded skid board, wrapped in thick moving blankets and strapped into position for transit. I challenge you to call Manny's and ask if they would ever pack a baby grand piano in the fashion you mention. I would be happy to set up a three-way call. Regarding moving the piano, we were going to have a professional piano mover move the piano, but when my wife called to asked if skyline moved pianos, the response was that it was up to the moving team. My wife asked the moving team if they would move the piano and they agreed. This would assume they know what they are doing. My wife and I were both present when the straps and moving blankets were removed from the piano and there was NO DAMAGE. At this time, we walked away thinking the piano was in good hands. When I returned to the POD, approximately 30 minutes later, the mover had removed the piano from the skid board, had straps with metal hinges scaping against the piano and the piano sitting on its side on the payment with nothing under it. Anyone with any experience knows you do not remove the skid board and you do not place a piano on its side on pavement. The movers then placed the piano on a dolly, that was not built to move a piano, and the dolly broke dropping the piano. The moving team grabbed the player as it was tipping and ripped the player off the piano. They then waited thirty minutes for another dolly to be brought to move the piano the rest of the way. To recap, they removed the piano from skid board (BAD IDEA), then set the piano on its side on pavement (ANOTHER BAD IDEA), moved the piano with straps with metal hinges rubbing against the piano, and placed it on a dolly that broke and ripped off the player. The moving team was completely incompetent, and when confronted about the damage, said "we didn't have to move piano." Really!!! When I spoke to the owner, he completely hid behind the waiver. He tried to say it was damaged during transit, but that argument was quickly defused when he heard we were present when the piano was unwrapped inside the POD. Also, I should note that several pieces of furniture were placed on their side on pavement, in addition to the piano, causing other damage. This operation is completely unethical. To hide behind a release when your employees cause damage is ridiculous. As I told my wife, why would a company need waiver if they know what you are doing. The only reason I can think of, is because THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. So again, do yourself a favor and avoid the headache. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! read more

Our move was over $6,000 after tip for a local move. We had a tremendous amount of furniture get damaged during our move. We also were charged $1,200 for moving blankets, that's right, $1,200. The insurance they offered us did not cover any of the damage that occurred, and the damage was extensive, especially given the cost of some of our furniture. The movers were actually very nice and great people so it's painful to leave this review, but the company as a whole does not seem to care about their customers. We will not be a repeat customer and we do not recommend this company if you want to keep your things from being damaged. We've included some photos of damage that occurred and was not covered, but there were actually many more small areas of damage to art, pictures, gym equipment etc. They also lost all the hardware to two bed frames and in general just didn't care at all when any of this was brought to their attention. The only thing the office offered was to cover some damage to the furniture but only based on a calculation of cents to pounds for the furniture that was damaged, which literally isn't even worth submitting a claim for, so we'd rather just submit this post and warn others. read more

I've got a lot of experience with both local and long distance moves (15 moves in 25 years) and have to say I am really impressed with the whole team at Skyline. This was a local move - Longmont to Longmont - and so the rate is hourly. I contacted a few other moving companies for estimates and one didn't bother to call back, one wanted me to send them an inventory of all my belongings!? but Skyline came out to my home to see in person what we needed moved and gave a realistic estimate on both time and manpower. When they arrived the day of the move, all the guys (Kris, Logan, Mike and Victor) were friendly and professional. And most important- they all hustled. This is very important on an hourly move. Loading and unloading, they maintained a seriously impressive pace all while smiling and joking and being nice to my kids (also very important). If I could give them 20 stars I would. I hope we won't be moving again, but if we do I know who I'm calling to help. This may have been my best move to date. read more

I moved this weekend and put a household in storage and used Skyline Movers. Will, Spencer and Zack did an outstanding job in getting all my "stuff" into a storage facility. I had used another moving company in the past and did further interviews and selected Skyline. They were very professional, courteous, and efficient. I received good information on the walk-thru and estimate. I frequently called with questions and got immediate reply/answer and did not have to leave a message and wait for their reply. They called prior to the move date and were right on time on move day. The 3 guys above amazed me in their strength and efficiency. I got tired watching them pick-up everything and move it. Second time with Skyline Moving Company. Preparing for a remodel. They moved everything out of the basement to the garage and out of the shop into a large storage container. Nathan M, Alex T, Blake B, Clay W and Harrison M worked as a team and did an excellent job. They followed direction well and asked for clarification when needed. Protected the home with runners and padded corners to protect walls. My only issue with this company is that these guys work for tips, but they also charge $300 an hour for the job. Guys typically get $100-$200 per job per worker in tips. This is what they tell you at the start. I am not the kind of person to short guys like this as hard as they work, but I don't like this company's model where the guys ask for tips based on how they do. The company should pay them what they think they are worth. It is the job of the company to value their workers and pay them well enough that they don't need to work for tips. These guys are great. A crew of four loaded our items up in Laramie, Wyoming and took great care to ensure everything was protected and transported safely while working efficiently at loading. My move was a little over a week ago. I wanted to give this company a great review. Everyone else seemed to have such great service. I only found one bad review on another site and it was from someone who never even had the company show up. Naturally I expected 5 star service. That is not what I got. Here's why I cannot rate the movers 5 stars. Booking- I had a wonderful first phone call with the owner Todd. We spoke about the best day, rates, etc. I was flexible on my dates, and we talked about Friday having much more availability than Saturday. I decided on Friday, but I had to call back later to book. When I called to book, I again confirmed it was for Friday, the 7th. I got a voicemail to confirm my moving date the Sunday before, which I admit I didn't listen to, but I didn't figure there was a need since I had confirmed all the details at booking and nothing has changed. Friday morning came and movers never showed up. When I called, I got the other owner who proceeded to blame me for not listening to the voicemail and said Todd "swears" he booked me for Saturday. He might have done so, but I asked for Friday, not Saturday and we even talked about Saturday being too booked. Blaming the customer for your mistake is bad business and I didn't even get an apology for the misunderstanding. The movers- Saturday morning, Matt, Matt and Isaac showed up. The Matt who was in charge told me within 30 seconds of saying hello that they work for tips and customary tipping is $100/mover, but if I didn't think they did a good enough job, it was ok to tip less. Unbelievably tacky. When it was time to pay, Matt again mentioned how they work for tips and this time he said customary was 20% of the bill, which was $125 each now. I was never not planning to tip, but begging for tips is just so wrong, particularly when I'm already dropping a large amount of money on the move. The other Matt and Isaac were never involved in this, so I can't blame them. The move- loading went well, and they were done rather quickly. The problem started when I had been on the way to the new house (5 hours away). About 45 minutes in, I get a call that they left their clipboard with all the paperwork at my old house. I'm not sure what they expected me to do, but not wanting to wait the extra time that it would take for them to drive back and knowing I could make better time, I offered to go back and get it, adding an extra hour to my drive. Once I got to my new house, they were very appreciative that I did so and told me they'd take an hour of my move time to compensate. The unload was awful and chaotic. Rather than placing the clearly marked boxes in the rooms as they were unloading, they started piling everything into my front room. They moved the furniture into the rooms, but the rest was left as a jumbled mess for me to have to deal with later. This is the biggest reason I cannot give them 5 stars. 5 star movers would take the boxes to the room indicated by the markings on the box. Payment- I was told my $150 deposit would be deducted from my final total. I was also told that they'd take that hour off from me having to go back for their clipboard. When it came time to pay, not only did they not deduct the deposit, they didn't credit me for the hour. They did deduct one hour for their lunch, but I wouldn't have expected to have to pay them for their meal break regardless. By the time it came to pay, I was so angry and disappointed that I just paid it to get them out of my house, but I do feel like I was overcharged and ripped off. Again, this was the we work for tips Matt that settled the bill with me. He said he wanted me to mention him in my review, so here it is. He also tried to charge me a 3% fee for using my credit card, which no one EVER mentioned, then asked if I could just pay cash like I have $2000 in cash on me go hand over. Matt was very shady and a poor representative of what I still feel is a decent company. I wish my experience had been better. read more
