Started out great. Ended horribly. Like a romantic relationship, they promised the world and left you out to dry a few years in. Communication between people in their office is non-existent. Anytime there was an issue it took 3-6 weeks to be resolved, even after daily calls to the office. We were always told "we're handling it and will get back to you" yet after 6 months it was still not handled. Maying in the accounting office, avoids any calls regarding any issues. Nicole in maintenance, drops the ball constantly. Contractors showed up to our house with no prior notice, to fix a problem 6 months after we requested service. When we refused to let them in because we weren't going to be home, they charged us a $250 trip fee for the inconvenience. That took 2 months to be resolved. The move out process is a joke. Moving in - everything is perfect, moving out - good fucking luck. The fees are ridiculous and excessive and I doubt anyone ever gets their deposit back. Unless you yourself as the renter hire a professional cleaning service and get the carpets cleaned or replaced, they take any fees out of the deposit. We lived there for 4 years - that's normal wear and tear, yet we were still responsible for paying for new carpets/cleaning. Because we didn't repaint the inside of the house, they took the painters fee out of our deposit and then told us we owed them more because it cost more then the deposit was. You can kiss my ass. There are extremely invasive "inspections" done every 6 months, where they send a random person to open every cabinet, drawer and look through every room of your house, to make sure everything is being taken care of correctly. The owner of the house even showed up randomly while we were living there. While it sounds like they are extremely thorough on what they need - they continue to drop the ball on anything you need. Run far away from Skyline Property Group/ Pure Property Management. They're a fucking joke. read more

Sadly, after doing business with Skyline 4-5 years, after the initial 3 years, the past 2 years have gotten progressively worse. I've been trying to reach a management for 3 weeks to discuss non-renewal of the tenant. The Maintenance person with whom I spoke said she'd put that information in the file. I sent an email notifying Skyline of non-renewal and to discuss working something out with tenant if they could be notified prior to 30 days notification so they'd have time to find another place. THere are also issues in the Annual Inspection report that I've been trying to talk a manager at Skyline, as well as HVAC issues noted on the last HVAC inspection to get resolved. No manager or anyone with responsibility has returned my calls or responded to my emails. The one person I spoke with in Maintenance was very sweet and polite but all she could do was "I will send this to the manager." and "I'll be this notification in the file." I'm left in the dark not knowing when needed repairs will be done. No one responding. VERY VERY disappointment in the negligence and lack of response. Not even responding to my comments in the owner's portal. read more

Our neighborhood (without input from the home owners) recently switched HOA management companies to skyline. Would not recommend they never reply to emails they shut off amenity access illegally they ignore all requests from home owners. Do not do business with this company. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON!!! I would give them zero stars, if that were an option. They "manage" the HOA at my 55+ community, and they are completely useless! Piss poor communication, takes forever to respond to emails (if they respond at all) doesn't follow through with anything, and doesn't even know how to operate their own online system. We have had nothing but problems with them from the start. Because of our complaints, the owner, DD Lee, stepped in to "Personally help with our community's account" SUCH A JOKE!! I don't know how she is a business owner, as she knows nothing about how a business operates. Even with her involved, everything continues to be complete chaos, with no progress in sight! And what was her response to all recent concerns? Apparently, to stop coming to our HOA meetings, altogether & just ignore any emails & and problems, that are occurring. They have signed on to handle all these HOA communities, without any previous experience in that area. From other reviews on here, it's obvious that they already couldn't properly handle being a 3rd party rental management company- so they definitely had no business trying to take on HOA management, as well. Unprofessional, rude, i placed a application on a property, i was told before i did it there was no applications, and its fit's come first serve. I hadn't heard anything back and i called and i was told it was rented, upon checking my application still says pending review and that was in September. I called and asked why i was told the property manager is reviewing it,which is a lie, they basically took my money for nothing and that is not right. i should have been given a refund considering it still says pending review today read more

I am Treasurer of our HOA and after being denied access to our financials and being entered into an agreement by the management company that we DIDN'T want, we knew it was time to switch. We did our due diligence and put our business out to RFP. I am a contracting and pricing manager for a large international company and handle a multi-billion dollar portfolio. Balancing service and price, we chose to move to Skyline because they were honest, had great recommendations from not only the property owners side, but the homeowner side. They were clear with expectations and were honest that there will be hiccups. We made the switch and unfortunately the transition was not smooth and did not go as planned - what ever does? This was not the fault of Skyline, but the management company from whom we were departing did not provide the needed information in order to make the move. Couple that with the next homeowner dues coming up! From a homeowner perspective, the Board and new Management company look like failures. But, what the homeowners didn't see was the Board volunteers working tirelessly to make the transition happen as quickly as possible, and DD and her team add more and more staffing to ensure it went well, even if it were not profitable. As DD said, customer satisfaction means more than profits, we need to get you where you need to be. We are still working through a terrible clean up from a poor builder transfer. Skyline has been with us every step of the way. Has it been perfect? No. But, we have a great partnership to get things done no matter what. DD and her team have an amazing "Can Do" attitude. Her team will email Board members day and night, weekends included. I have literally went back and forth all Saturday night, after midnight with her team on a critical issue. I cannot think of another management team that would do that. It is unfortunate to see the other posts, many of which I assume are from disgruntled tenants and residents. I see some from our own neighborhood, which aren't always the full story. I don't envy property management companies. As DD has said during our interview process, we are seen as the 'bad guys' and that is okay. We are here to work for you. I am happy with the switch and have learned a lot about the difficulty in managing HOAs. Board members can be involved and have TONS of work. It is that dedication that makes a thriving, successful neighborhood that keeps expenses in line and HOA dues from increasing as little as possible. Or, you can be a Board member who is hands off and not be minding the store. Skyline has helped in this journey and they have tough jobs. They do it with a smile though! You may ask why I gave 4-stars. I think they are great and everyone has room for which they can improve. My recommendations are: a ticketing system to track ACC requests, increased efficiency with processing requests and communication. read more

Poor experience from the get go. It took 3 weeks to get approved. They waited until THE DAY BEFORE MOVE IN to have a maintenance crew come out to fix the home. We know this because we came to the house the day before move in and the crew that was working told us it was the first time they were able to set foot in the house bc they were just called to do the job. There was trash everywhere on the back deck, a big hole in the wall, closet door has a big hole, paint cans laying around. We couldn't even get into the house bc their lock box malfunctioned. There's holes in the wall. Not nail holes. Actual fucking holes. Wtf did they do with previous tentants deposit?? Pocket it?? Bc they sure as hell did not fix ANYTHING. they lure you in with "move in ready" "don't need to set up utilities" "zero security deposit". You still pay it, just not up front. They only give you access to the home for a walk through the day you move in. Terrible. 0/10. I already can't wait for this lease to be over. Update: we've discovered black mold under the kitchen sink, mouse traps. This place is a nightmare. Our gas wasn't even turned on for move in. We slept in a FREEZING house, and had zero hot water. It was so cold, neither me or my bf could shower. read more

However, the recent property damage, lack of communication and disregard for fulfilling their own contract needs to be addressed. Skyline, DD Lee and Amanda Sanchez allowed property neglect, property damage and did not bill the tenant for any of it while ignoring my contacts. As another owner stated, carpet and walls damage, an entire missing light fixture and yard neglect, unauthorized pets, Etc. My MANY calls and email were unreturned. This was not the company I signed on with in 2015, but it is who they have become. I will be pursuing this with the Georgia Real Estate Commission, BBB and other avenues of redress read more

RUN!!!!! We rented a home from Skyline for three years, these people are incapable of handling anything. We were great tenants, kept up with the property in terms of maintenance requests, paid rent early every month,e ct. When it was time to move out, Skyline tried claiming that we should have painted the walls to cover "excessive damage" (no large holes were on these walls, we hung up frames and patched small nail holes). Guess what they tried to pull? Deducting $925 dollars from our security deposit to paint. We ended up getting our money back, but only after battling and threatening legal action. We tried getting documents from the office, but it was an absolute nightmare dealing with Toni Glenn. She and DD failed to respond to emails, return calls,etc. When we did get a hold of someone, we got a terribly unprofessional attitude. This company lacks basic customer service skill, organization, and tried to completely rip us off and take the majority of our deposit for damage that didn't even exist. Do yourself a favor and avoid the headache by renting with someone else. read more

I am a tenant at 760 Davis Circle I have been handled very unprofessionally by the property manager Betty Motter. I have been trying to get in contact with her superior for going on 2 weeks and have had several failed attempts and 0 callbacks. I have had a leak in my ceiling going on almost a month and a hole cut into my ceiling since the last week of March. She tampers with my mail, sending back anything that isn't addressed to my name. I had to contact the post office after not receiving my little brothers mail for some time now (who is stationed overseas in the UAE) to find this information out, and was instructed to file a complaint. I will be exhausting all social media avenues to remedy this situation as I have been and continue to be handed very unfairly and unprofessionally and there is no one who will answer my emails or calls read more

Skyline Properties Group helped us for 2 years manage our rental property. The tenants loved them and so did we. They took great pride in their resolution of issues and were very responsive in getting things done. Amanda and Zoe are a great team. The entire team worked to make it a great first time experience for us as landlords. Sometimes there are difficult things to do with tenants and they did them with great professionalism and care. Skyline has done everything in its power to make improving the quality of my home not just a nightmare but simply impossible. My property isn't being properly maintained at even a low standard and I pay for that in my dues. Mary Weibel has ignored voicemails, many emails and has been very unprofessional on the telephone. I was told by the head manager that an HOA company exists to be a communication barrier between the tenants and the board. But they blame everything on the board and cannot prove that they communicated with them. I have talked to many neighbors with the same problems. They will do things out of spite. It's funny seeing the complete opposite reviews from tenants vs property owners here on Yelp. I will step in and give a negative review from the perspective of a property owner. I hired DD because she is so well involved with the NARPM Ga Chapter. Well, I'm not sure that mattered at all. The very first tenant they chose to put in my home ended up being a criminal. He submitted fake checks, he gave out keys to no less than three other people (not on the lease), and after a lengthy 2+ month eviction ended up destroying my house. The estimates for repairs are around $6,500. I'm now at a loss of nearly $13,000 including rent. And where is Skyline? Nowhere to be found. Their communication is a joke. I've been left on my own to clean up the mess. Go find another company if you'd like people that take responsibility for their mistakes...in fact, if anyone tries to respond to this review, pay attention to their excuses. I am a rental property homeowner who has rented out my home through Skyline for the past three years. I have loved working with DD and her team, it's been great. They upheld all of their promises, found me a well-screened tenant in a short time-period who has been taking great care of my house. I was nervous going in since I was a first-time landlord but thanks to Skyline, it has been a worry-free and hassle-free process from the beginning. They have always been very responsive and professional to deal with and I highly recommend them. read more

As a tenant, I would never recommend this company. This company lacks communication, customer service, and does not keep track of their records or documents. Leased a property for a year and a half, and from the very beginning it was an issue. For starters, the home wasn't even painted or cleaned upon move in. Within days the AC unit broke down and they sent someone out to look at it and I didn't get responses for days (in Georgia August heat) and it wasn't until I threatened with legal action that someone got back to me and got the AC replaced. Thankfully I didn't have any issues that I needed them for and since I paid on time, I didn't hear from them. My lease expired and no one reached out to me to sign a new contract and I was still getting billed every month and my money was being accepted, however upon move out they all of a sudden they didn't have record of my latest lease contract and attempted to hold me to an early lease termination. Thankfully, I kept alllll my records and no legal action had to be taken. At my walkout inspection, the lady was 40 minutes late, because she went to the wrong address?? Okay. All the good reviews are from homeowners and as a new homeowner myself, I would not trust them with my property. So keep looking and save yourself the headache! read more

While the properties they may show are nice, the level of incompetence displayed by the management team at Skyline is nothing short of staggering. It's as if they believe that landlords are not required to follow the same terms of a lease agreement as the tenants, which is simply ridiculous. Proof: http://imgur.com/a/3LGGS Our experience with Skyline began 4/1/2015, during our initial walkthrough of the property we had noticed some issues with the weatherstripping on the doors and asked to have it fixed. We were told to submit any maintenance requests via the online messaging system, so we did, on 4/6. And after we didn't see any update on the request after a few days we sent a follow up email. Being a minor issue we purchased one of those 'draft stopper' products and forgot about it. Then the bathroom fan stopped working on 6/30. Again we submitted a maintenance request. We didn't receive any response on either of those requests until 8/26, where they then apparently mixed up our maintenance with another property's. It wasn't until 9/12 that someone was finally sent out to fix the bathroom fan. On 11/10 during some heavy rain a leak in the roof caused water damage and a hole in the kitchen ceiling that we immediately reported. Amazingly someone responded to the request the same day, saying they were sending a roofing company out. Of course after nearly a week of waiting for roofers who never came, they discovered they apparently had sent them to another property (who just happened to have a leak in their kitchen? Right.) After sending out someone to actually look at the correct property, they said they couldn't find the leak and left. We eventually got in contact with the owner of the property who, understandably, was upset that there was water damage being done to their house while Skyline continued to fail at dealing with any maintenance requests. The owner brought in his own roofing company who was able to find the leak, and repair the roof and ceiling. All of the maintenance issues aside the most troubling issues have arisen at the end of our initial lease term. According to our lease "Management has the right to increase the monthly rental amount at the beginning of any renewal or extension period by giving at least fifteen (15) days written notice prior to the date on which a non-renewal notice must be given to end the initial term or any subsequent renewal period." We were sent a renewal notice 2/22/2016, 8 days prior to the date on which a non-renewal notice must be given (Mar 1, a violation of the lease terms by Skyline). It was signed by DD Lee and as tenants we attempted to sign and return it before March 1 as well, but there were technical issues with the document. We attempted to contact DD Lee on 3/14, but had no responses to our concerns about signing the document. However section 3 of that renewal clearly stated "...If we do not receive your notice by March 1, 2016, your lease will default to the month-to-month option." so we assumed everything would be fine. How silly of us. After paying the rent that was stated on the first renewal notice for month-to-month, we got an email 4/5 with a new renewal notice, claiming that they had made a 'clerical error' and that the rent would actually be increasing more than what was stated on the initial renewal notice. Not to mention that the second renewal notice was backdated to 4/1 and expected a response by 4/6, which not only is in violation of the lease section stated above, but could very well be illegal also. We have sent several emails to try and get this issue fixed, by correcting the rent for the current month and sending a valid renewal notice, but at this point Skyline management keeps repeating the 'clerical error' excuse rather than fixing their mistakes correctly. read more

I have been trying to schedule a viewing at a rental property for the past month. First is wasn't available because someone still lived in it. Perfectly understandable. Then I was able to schedule a showing providing three different days and time- all were denied. I tried again for 3 more days and it was denied again. Finally I called the property manager to speak to her directly to set up an appointment and she informed me to check the website because she was going to set up preselected times. I was able to schedule and confirm the day and time. I did have to rearrange my work schedule to make it being that they don't show after 5pm or on weekends ( the time and days people are usually off from work). The MORNING of, I got a generated email saying they had to cancel. I called to confirm and the man on the phone had no clue what he was doing and did not ever call me back after he "attempted" to look for the answer. I just ended up rescheduling with the preselected times. A few days later, once again the appointment has been cancelled. At this point, I give up. I made 9 attempts and all were denied I can't believe how unprofessional this management company has been. If I was the owner of the property I would be pissed at how they aren't doing their job! Also, during my whole search, I have been to another property managed by this company and it was a complete dump. I couldn't believe that they showed this place in the condition that it was in. There were stains and trash everywhere and the garage reeked of garbage that had been left in there--Garbage and heat just does not mix well. I don't even know where to begin. I found one of their listing online. I scheduled an apt to view the home - Its a self tour. My son and I got into the home and were immediately hit with cobb webs!! Spider webs everywhere - it was almost like the spiders were going to give us a tour of the home. The odor was that of a home that neglected home; dust on the surfaces; unrepaired sections. The backyard was full of Fall leaves yet this was Springtime. Mean you, the front of the home was immaculate (what a laugh). I decided to look beyond the below average presentation of the home and imagine it as clean and ready to move it; and I liked what my imagination saw. When I got home, I called the skyline office; and asked to speak to someone about the home because previously everything was online and automated. All I received back from the person was "if you are interested, apply online". Which I did. The next day I called.. and the same lady answered the phone and before I could get past 'Hello", she said "you have called here before". I explained that I need to discuss the home with someone. She kept emphasizing that I had previously called and that they approval process takes 24 hours... I started to worry that probably there was a language barrier and I may be best to wait a couple of days and hopefully she/they will call me. After 3 days, I called again. and this time a gentleman answered.. and just like the other employee, he stated, you have called you before. Is that their tactic of getting people not to call again!!!! I was starting to get so frustrated but I had to hold my cool because I wanted the home (and I had also paid them an application fee). I wanted to know the status of my application. He asked that I call back the following day. (So much for 24 hour application process - It was now almost 7 days). I call back the next day, and the lady whom I had spoken to initially answered... and said Hello and I then I waited for "you have called here before".... and sure indeed, like clockwork, she said the 5 miserable words!! I stayed calm and asked my question; and explained the duration that I have been waiting. She processed to give me a number to the person who handles the applications. I asked if there was a good time to call, she said. "Call her now. I dialed the number.. and the message said "our working hours are from 10am -..." This was 8.34am. Didn't I ask what time is best to reach the application approver???? At 10.05am, I dialed the number again... You will not believe what happened next!!! Me: Hello? Lady on the line: you have called here before!! I had to look at the number that I had dialed to make sure that I was calling the application approver (verifier) and not the other crazy lady. After several minutes of back and forth and trying to get the lady to get past the fact at that I had called before, she informs me that the calls from the approver are forwarded to her when the approver is out. Long story short, nobody attempted to call me back. Judging from the state of the house, they are probably in the scheme of getting as many applications for the house so that they can pocket the application fee - that just my thinking.
