However, on my way to Ponderay, I was passing a SPOT transport station on 1st avenue near Kootenai Elementary school, when "on the dot" at 8:27am the SPOT bus pulled up and the driver Susan welcomed me to get wheels into town (a three mile walk). I gladly obliged and the driver and people getting a ride were all very nice and well-dressed for public transportation (I come from a big city where public transit is sketchy at best). We had a couple of stops but got downtown in around 15 minutes! Perfect for getting to a place to do work today. Highly recommend taking this transit and please donate money(there is a little container like public buses in cities), tell people about it, and spread the good feelings around.

The Schweitzer bus is $3 per person but like I said the Spot is free. We are always looking for transportation before we book a destination to travel to because we hate renting cars. Thanks to this bus we were able to stay in beautiful Sandpoint and get around hassle free. The drivers were always friendly, great mode of transportation for this town and I hope it's around for a long time!

When we arrived, not only was Steve there to show us to our spot, but several others currently staying. In the park were helpful in spotting some close calls and helping get us positioned just right in our spot. For our rig size, it was a close call and tight fit getting in, but once in our spot it was perfect. They got us in site 11 no problem. Is it an impersonal overly polished concrete and blacktop parking lot style RV Park with perfect level geometry/symmetry everywhere you look? No, but it was one of the best and most relaxing locations we've been so far. It's in the middle of a game preserve, so there are numerous deer routinely wandering around the area. Ahhh nature! As far as quiet goes, evenings were like a cemetery (in a good way). Just lots of peace and quiet to enjoy your surroundings. And the sunsets on the dock & beach! They are about as idyllic as you can get for lakefront property. We spent time swimming, kayaking, and just siting our on the dock enjoying the sunshine. I can speak for the internet/WiFi as we had great T-Mobile reception and so were only on our own hotspots the entire time. 60Mbit down / 8.9Mbit up. Perfectly suited to my purposes.

The views were breathtaking, the service friendly and the accommodations top-notch. Mike and Nancy were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Each room was spacious, stylishly furnished and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the relaxing ambiance made for a great night's sleep. A complimentary breakfast was anything but ordinary. Just order any breakfast item off the menu, and Nancy cooks it up and serves it hot and fresh. Lunch and dinner were equally delicious. Our first day, we relaxed on the large, wrap-around front porch taking in the beautiful view and several deer and moose sightings. Later, Gary took us on an ATV ride to explore the property. The next day, we drove 10 minutes to the Fork Clark River and did some kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. The Amber Bear Inn is ideal for those looking to hike, fish, boat, kayak, paddle board, snow shoe, cross-country ski or get away from it all. The locale is right on a cove on Lake Pend Oreille, and has two marinas. I park my boat 100 yds from our house. The lake fishing is amazing-- always somewhere new to explore. But the absolute best are the people. Janice, the owner is over the top friendly and accommodating, and the year round care takers, Art and Mandy are the nicest, most helpful, friendly, and competent duo you could ever ask for. We have made lifelong friends with many of the park regulars, and get a real hoot out of all our Canadian friends who come down to visit. The people are the best, the lucious grounds and lake views are breathtakingly beautiful. You can't make a better choice to stay in northern Idaho than Jeb & Margaret's!

They also didn't have appropriate gear for the 30° temperature and were freezing. Years later it it is not holding up. Paid extra for a higher pitch and better grade metal due to my particular snow load. The snow almost took it out two years ago. It leaks like a sieve - there's always puddles in the middle of an almost 40 x 60 Carport. Structurally it won't take alot to push it sideways. It's just not engineered for my snow load despite me paying more. They never came out and looked at the space. It was installed backwards with the lien to going into the hillside instead of the roadside. There policy is once they're done, they're done. There's no warranty no nothing. Buyer beware. Cheaper isn't better.

Cheaper is not always better, but they provided a quality steel carport for our RV. Pete came over within 24 hours on a Sunday and worked up the quote. The steel was delayed in Texas, and he said it would be installed around the end of Feb. He called a week later and asked if they could install in two weeks, which worked out even better. The installer called me the day before installation and stopped by that night. The next morning, he was 15 minutes early, and they were unbelievably quick and efficient and had it assembled in just a few hours. Easy company to work with. Reliable, quality product, plus it's a local Idaho company, I prefer spending my money in Idaho.
