It's located on the second floor of the building and once you up the stairs you turn left for the reformer pilates, I believe there's other rooms for other classes on the right. I was greeted by the reception and had to sign a waiver form. You also have to wear pilates socks at this location during your exercises but if you don't have any, they have some for purchase at their studio. Once you walk into the room/ class you're expected to leave all your belongings like purses, wallets and phones at their cubbies since it's a no phone zone when the class is in session. Since I picked an introductory class, the instructor talked us through how to use the reformers and what to expect. During the class, I thought it'd be more useful if the instructor actually showed us how to do certain moves herself so we had a visual, rather than just talking us through the steps. As beginners, it would've been a lot more helpful. Knowing that this was a introductory class, I didn't expect to be sweating and be super sore the next day - which I wasn't. But I definitely felt some muscles being activated that I don't usually target. Overall, it was a great experience and I went back a couple more times after that. Take the introductory class as it really helped with understanding how to use the reformer and how the movements should feel.

So we got here, signed in as a newcomer. And afterwards we got changed. I like how this place doesn't allow outside shoes in the studio. Anyhow the facilities are in what it used to be a commercial building. Inside the gym area are all the equipment of weights, ropes and punching dummies (for kickboxing). So we were settling in and started our warm up and stretches. Then the HIIT exercises came thru. After a good 45 minutes of workout. I was quite dead at the end. The instructors are encouraging and not overly brutal. It ain't bad honestly. I'll consider signing up with them when the isolation is lifted.

The kids had about 45 minutes of trying out different circus equipment followed by time in a private party room where they had pizza, cake, decorations etc. You can add those items to your package through them or bring in your own. There are party add ons you can get such as dog show, clown show, aerial gymnastics, balloon animals, face painting & loot bags. The party room also comes with a dvd player & tv with choice of movies etc. to have on while everyone is in the party room. Instructors were very professional, patient and wonderful with the kids. Everyone had so much and my own daughter loved it so much, we may host her next party there next year! Other services they have available are: circus camp, circus workshops, corporate events, school field trips. Great experience and a place definitely worth checking out!

I thought my LA Fitness membership would get me in. It had never failed me in the USA…read more Unfortunately, LA Fitness memberships doesn't cross borders. As soon as I scanned my barcode, the alarms went off telling David the manager who was there that morning to inform me that my membership was not good at his club. Interestingly, even though my membership was not valid at his club, David was able to look at my membership profile and see that I am a longtime LA Fitness member and was able to allow me to workout at his club. This Markham club was comparable to the Diamond Bar, California club that I normally workout at. LA Fitness considers this club a Premier Plus Club...whatever that means. My regular premiere club and this club were basically the same, except mine in California provides towels for me. It was less fancy than their Signature Club in Irvine, CA, where their headquarters are at. They had treadmills and ellipticals that were equipped with a TV screen for you to watch. They had free weights and machines. Most of the equipment worked, not like at some of the other clubs I've been to. The club seemed clean. Paper towels and sanitizer were available. No towel service at this club. The parking lot was adequate. I was able to find a spot. It's a good LA Fitness gym. I still don't know what a premier plus club is. There is a single bathroom stall in the back and cubby holes to store your personal belongings. No showers are available. Ample amounts of props, blankets, blocks and chairs for adjustments and supported asanas were available. There were cleaning supplies and paper towels too, for the end of the class. I tried a vinyasa class with Patricia at noon on a weekday. Normally, classes must have a minimum of 3 participants for it to go forward but Patricia was happy to teach me. I had a great time. She inquired into my background and experience, had great pacing, as well as cues. Patricia was a pleasure to meet; she was very warm and was happy to tell me about herself and get to know me too. Having this gym on West Beaver Creek allowed me an easy way to get there through traffic and a great escape from it on the way home. The facility was well taken care of when I entered. It didn't have the usual sweaty stench of most gyms. I enjoyed that the gym was more family based rather than the large chain. I find that a smaller more encouraging environment helps me a lot more than being ogled at the larger chain gyms. The vibe was very comfortable for me and my coach had been very knowledgeable of not only the exercises we were prescribed but our individual needs. I enjoyed his ability to deal with me as an individual while maintaining the group aspect of the classes. Since I've started training here, not only has my mother and cousin joined but my aunt as well. I left the country for some odd months to come back and find them in better shape than they have ever been. The best part is that they all seemed to have fun on the way there. The coach and the staff here always set up great family based events on holidays as well that give us both a great workout and a little competition. It's been a great experience growing with my new friends at the gym and bonding with my family as well.
