I find the nurses and the staff at the hospital, extremely helpful, compassionate, and gentle with my daughter. Even the security detail are careful as they are searching purses and having you go through the security system. I expressed a concern about some thing the admitting doctor did that was dangerous for my daughter, and the nurses followed through and got the order changed by the time I arrive the next morning. This takes skill and concern and compassion to follow through like that. Things are not perfect, of course, it is a human run organization. But I find the general tone of the staff theory wonderful and healing. I am halfway between Health Central and West Orange hospital. We choose West Orange hospital due to this sort of concern and gentleness of the staff and professional people. Generally, I appreciate the ER docs and admitting doctors, but Yesterdays admitting doctor was harsh, patronizing, and would not listen to reason of a season, nurse, and myself. I do not have tolerance for that. But I still do recommend the facility as a whole.

The patient felt severely dehydrated and requested water, ice chips, and IV fluids repeatedly but was denied basic hydration for an extended period. Medical staff, specifically a nurse named Matthew, were described as dismissive, unhelpful, and verbally aggressive toward the patient. The attending physician was perceived as rushed and failed to address several acute issues, including a bladder infection, ear infection, and the patient's autoimmune disorders. The patient collapsed in the ER while seeking water and felt they were treated with suspicion and malice by staff during the incident. Hospital supervisors, Ruth and a lead shift nurse, allegedly gaslit the patient by defending the nurse's behavior and dismissing the patient's complaints. The patient reported a significant lack of understanding and skepticism from the staff regarding fibromyalgia and other autoimmune conditions. The patient was discharged at 2:00 AM while still symptomatic and felt forced to leave despite being too weak to walk or drive. The patient eventually received proper care at a different hospital and has filed a formal complaint with the ADA.

So, much of my time was spent idle. I stated this in a survey sent to me. The following session, I was confronted about the survey, which I would have thought confidential and anonymous. This was very unprofessional and made future experiences awkward. There are a couple people who concentrated on my progress. They were mentioned in the aforementioned survey. There was also a financial dispute, which I won't discuss here, that ended in me cancelling the remainder of my sessions.

It looks like dog food. The staff with the exception of Cole in PT and Mia and Joanna in the administration office, their staff shouldn't be working there. They're not equipped most of them to handle patients that have multiple surgery recoveries. I asked for help from one of their care team, and she refused to walk me to the restroom saying that if I fell she would be in trouble. They fried my iPhone by placing the cord in water and then denying the whole thing and I had to go out and buy a new iPhone when I got home.Go anywhere else don't go there if you want an amazing rehab go to encompass. The PT order was in computer but would not even schedule.I tried to call in 2 days but was told I would not be called until after 72 hours. I am an employee with employee insurance. What do we have to check that a simple phone call can't fix. Now when I finally get called it is a full 3 weeks before I can get in for evaluation . I was admonished because I cannot come on a certain day at 8:00 a.m.I had already said I work 6:30-3.I also have to follow up with orthopedic in 6 weeks so I would maybe have 2 weeks of therapy before my follow up. I work and I'm sure my manager wouldn't appreciate me taking off for this visit. I don't feel I should use pto when I offered 2 different days or anytime after 2 pm. It's a shame that we work hard and cannot get help. When the rehab was in the small ortho building, they were so helpful and accommodating. They had less staff and shorter hours..Maybe they are not making enough money on employees that they leave other slots for higher paying patients. I hope the people answering the phones don't need the services in the future. We are all trying to get well and stay healthy. Good luck trying with this business

She is so incredibly professional and such a pleasure to see in the mornings Ashley has made the post op physical therapy experience so much more tolerable with her personality. Tom Oliva was my therapist, and he is truly amazing! The front staff, Shivani and Shantee are professionals at juggling schedules in a caring and kind manner. They will work to get you in while they make you feel like a very special person. Tommy is the most gifted therapist, creating a program that got my shoulder's pain level down, and increased its mobility and strength. He LISTENED after asking how the shoulder was feeling, then created a program that used different exercises, each time keeping the therapy exciting and progressing. There was NEVER a "set routine" that I was told to perform. He uses manual manipulation and massage of the joint at EACH session and as needed to reduce pain throughout the session. He has such a positive attitude, making the sessions fun and innovative.
