All the pain. They said she has 4 herniated discs and set her up with the spinal clinic for rehab. Both Hospitals did a CT and only one found the problem. Guess what hospital we will be using from now on... I just got a really upsetting phone call from Advent Health. She was telling me that the doctor did his job correctly. Because my Mother came in worried about her appendix so that's all they checked. They didn't check to see why she was having the pain if the appendix was OK they took an 85-year-old woman's word that it was her appendix. So he did his job! If you don't know what happened, my Mother went to Advent Health because she had very bad pain and she was worried it was her appendix. So that's all they checked for. They didn't check to see why she was having the pain if it wasn't her appendix and it wasn't her appendix. I ended up taking her to Health Central in Ocoee the following week. They did their job they found out. She had 4 herniated discs in her lower back. But this Phone Call I got was Advent Health telling me the doctor did his job. So of course I said my mother and all of her medical training decided it was her appendix and her doctor at Advent Health didn't check further to find out what the problem was and you're telling me he did his job. You can't make this stuff up. I cannot believe that was the phone call I got from Advent Health

All staff were so friendly and helpful to us during our stay in the PICU. they were constantly asking how they could help and if we needed anything, often coming up with resolutions when we didn't even ask for them. One of the nurses brought my baby toys once he was able to play and brought me coffee whenever I asked. This was a terrible situation but i'm so thankful for the staff in the PICU and our last day in the CICU that made our stay better. On a side note: the pharmacy in the main area of the hospital next to the gift shop is a great spot for restocking your medicine cabinet. You can get staple meds like daytime cold meds, allergy meds, tylenol, etc for just a few dollars. I got daytime cold meds for like $3! I also bought childrens ibuprofen, like a big bottle, for under $3. This is a hidden secret that needs to be spread!

I am concerned about how challenging this process may be for senior patients, as I can easily understand the frustration it could cause. Gisselle did stay nearby and offered assistance, which was helpful and appreciated. However, the length of time required to stand and navigate the system was difficult for me, as I live with chronic pain. Standing hunched over during registration placed additional strain on my neck and back while checking in for a pain management appointment. Thanks for making registration better with your smiles. Two days before the procedure they call me that they changed the time. I told them I purposely planned this way ahead to plan and the person giving me a ride would not be available at this new time. Their only solution for that was offering another appointment two months away. I ended up driving myself so I could park and then have the person just pick me up instead. I found out there was a free valet for patients however, I had valuables in the car so I decided to go to the Self Park, which meant I was an extra 15 minutes late because there was traffic and it went up slowly. The digestive center was amazing, it was very modern and beautiful, clean and all staff was friendly and quick. The whole experience for the surgery part was amazing. Doctor Bang was really amazing and kind. All staff were excellent, I would ring the bell and two seconds later someone was already there to help. after the surgery, there were some small complications so instead of going home, I was brought up to a room. From here on the experience was not that great. I asked the assigned nurse for water and juice which she never brought, and I never saw her again until transitioning shift to the next nurse. I ended up calling and the head nurse was very kind and brought me something to drink finally. When I was out of water, I had to call again because I had not seen anyone in a long time and staff had come to pick up a food tray which I never received. They finally showed up with a dinner plate at 6:30pm. I am on a liquid diet, so I was very happy and hungry even it was not a food plate. It had a popsicle, Jell-O, juice, tea, and broth. I was so hungry I ended up going down to the cafeteria and buy a meal. I had denied an IV fluid as I can drink through my mouth however they refused to remove the port which I understand is protocol. At 5am my hand was hurting so bad I demanded it to be removed and they finally did. I also removed the heart monitor because I was tired and wanted to sleep. The morning staff was very friendly. As I was still on the liquid diet I went back downstairs to buy me something to eat this time I tried the Main bean coffee shop. All staff was friendly and helpful on my last day. All credit for dr bang that deserves 5 stars!

Recently, they've been to the emergency room twice with heart problems and on the second visit, they decided to keep them for a couple of days. Everything is good, but they want to monitor them. Haven't been to a lot of hospitals in my time I feel like this one is pretty good. Staff comes across as friendly and professional. They have some really good doctors that are trying their best with an unusual situation. Orlando Health is part of my kids medical network because their partner works at Disney. If you coming through the emergency room, they have free valet parking during the day at least. We used it on our first emergency visit, but they were gone by the time we left and I had to get my own car from the valet lot. Security was quite helpful though. On this last visit, we were there before the valet arrived, but I was allowed to park in that lot as it is the closest to the ER. Once they were checked in, I had to figure out where the main entrance was and parking. Once I found it, I recognized things and was able to get into the C Lot which is for visitors and the front and valet uses it. On this side, the valet charges you to park. It is a healthy walk from the garage to the entrance, but no match for the amount of walking that you do inside this building that just feels like it goes on forever. My kid has some dietary issues and they've gone above and beyond to make sure that they get meals that are avoiding cross-contamination. Everyone's been really nice so far. I'm sure we will be back for other things in the future.

I was sent two other peoples medical records so was I being treated based on my results or the other patients reports I received??? Thats a serious HIPPA violation and then would not give me my records after several requests and then are threatening to charge me or they will ONLY send to a physician.... She truly cares for her patients... and wants to help them get well... I felt like I was dying this year...literally...I couldn't stand without toppling over or running into walls, I couldn't put two thoughts together... I'd forget what I was trying to say MID-WAY in a sentence! I looked like I hadn't slept in months...deep, dark circles under my eyes...my family was super worried about me... I had begun to "get my affairs in order". :( I didn't want my husband or kids to have to get rid of useless stuff when I was gone... they'd be dealing with enough emotional issues... so I was trying to make things easier on them... WHILE just enjoying the rest of my days... Frandzie was determined to find out what was wrong with me and help me... I had blood work done, got some other tests done that I'd never even heard of before, and went to several specialists she referred me to, personally... She went above and beyond to take care of me... Come to find out, I had completely STOPPED producing hormones... Apparently that's a really bad thing...It was suspected that I might have Addison's... Thankfully, that's not what I had... Through her very thorough testing...she discovered the reason my body stopped functioning like it was supposed to. It was actually something super weird that you wouldn't think would cause any issues... One of the medications I was taking (that a different Dr. prescribed me), ALMOST killed me. Once I got OFF that medication, I started improving... I'm not 100% yet, but I'm on my way to being well... :) I'm no longer running into walls, or toppling over... and I can think again... I don't seem like an Alzheimer's patient anymore... :) I am thankful to God that I found this practice and these wonderful people... especially Frandzie... :) The office staff are wonderful! Always kind and willing to help me in any way... I feel at home here... The office at Vanguard Medical Center, is such is so warm and inviting...and when you're called back to a room, it's so cozy... more like a home than a medical office... And Frandzie sits with you and talks to you like a REAL person... You KNOW she cares... Not like most medical offices, where they come in for 5 minutes IF you're lucky... and they give you their best guess... and hope that it works... I LOVE going to my appts here because I know I'm being well cared for... This is the first time in my entire life that I have real hope of getting better... I have other health issues... and I know Frandzie is working to help me live a normal life... Not live a sick life... I wish I had gone to a Functional medicine practice sooner... Thank God for Vanguard and all their wonderful people... Because of them, (and Frandzie), I am alive... :) I'll take Frandzie over ANY medical Dr. out there, hands down! :)
