They will not create any individual therapy, you will not have access to ANY recreational activities, except for a "smoke break." Even then, if you do not participate in group, they will punish you by taking your outside time away and confining you to your room. They are also antisemitic. I announced several times that I am Jewish and require a pork free and kosher diet. They constantly ignored this. I went 5 days without food. I was also told not to bring any toiletries, that they would be provided. Nope. Took 3 days just to get a toothbrush, no deodorant, no toothpaste or mouthwash, and no towel or washcloth. I felt so dehumanized.

I did a 20 minute red light session and, to my shock and delight, my body has not punished me at all since my workout. My wife even told me that I seemed more cheerful and positive, as apparently, I have been much more unpleasant for the 30 years before discovering red light therapy. Moov offers Cryotherapy, Cold Plunges, Red Light Therapy, Compression Therapy, Infrared Saunas, and I am sure a lot of things that I do not recall and would not really understand even if I did recall them. I hope to try all of them, except the cryotherapy and cold plunges because they scare me. Located at the back of Xymogym, in a peaceful, darkened space designed for calm and comfort, Moov is a great resource and one worth checking out. From the start, the appointment felt disorganized and rushed. I had informed the office ahead of time that I could not type because of recent surgery on my right shoulder, which limited the movement of my hand. A friend kindly helped me complete the paperwork, and I emailed all of my information and medical history days in advance. Despite that, at the last minute, the staff realized I could not enter the patient portal, leaving me with only a few minutes to speak with Dr. Umeh. She asked the same questions repeatedly and seemed not to have reviewed any of the information I had provided. I felt completely unheard. When discussing my treatment plan, she said to me, "Due to your age..." and then asked, with a puzzled expression, "Are you going back to work?" This was not only inappropriate but also dismissive--especially considering that I had written clearly in my intake that my goal in seeking therapy was to return to the workforce. I said this more than once during the appointment, and I explained that after my recent shoulder surgery, I finally felt ready to start again. It seems Dr. Umeh did not hear that even once. She also decided not to continue the medication that had been helping me, without taking the time to contact my previous psychiatrist or therapist--professionals who had treated me for over a year with excellent results. Her decision felt abrupt and uninformed, made without understanding my full history. I left feeling dismissed, judged, and disrespected. The appointment felt like a psychiatric drive-thru rather than a genuine consultation. Her comments reflected prejudice about age and disability, which have no place in a mental-health setting. I cannot recommend Dr. Umeh to anyone seeking attentive or compassionate care. I intend to report this experience to my insurance provider. Every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, listened to, and taken seriously--regardless of age or physical limitations.
