The observation wheel is located near the Bayfront Park and overlooks Biscayne Park. It's next to Bayside Marketplace as well as many restaurants and bars where you can roam around and take in the sights. Many tourists and tour buses make stops here so it will be packed with foot traffic. If you're in the downtown Miami area make sure to make a stop here to check this wheel out.

This experience was on our Miami to-do list, now checked off! We really enjoyed it even though it's only about 15 minutes long. Our little gondola can seat 8 people, and it was air-conditioned! The views were beautiful, of course, because it's Miami, Brickell, Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach, and South Beach. It was $46 total for the two of us. Well worth it. Parking is wherever you can find it. This experience involves lots of walking so wear comfortable shoes. There are lots of little restaurants and shops so you can stay hydrated. It's located at the Bayside at approximately Biscayne Blvd and 4th St.

This is a pretty awesome way to see Biscayne Bay, Bayfront Park, and the Downtown Miami skyline. You and your group will have your own gondola which is completely enclosed. If you're afraid of heights, not sure you'd want to go on this because when you're at the very top, you're about 60 meters high, so roughly 200 feet! It is an incredible view and your gondola will have a little tv which provides info on things you'll see. It's $20 per person and the ride is about 15 minutes long. I highly recommend checking it out when visiting Miami. Plus it's at the Bayside Market so lots of fun to be had!

I took my daughter here for her birthday, as requested. They were so friendly. I kind of expected the view to be different ... similar to the one in Atlanta. I would suggest looking further out along the skyline. It's beautiful. I would also suggest paying at the location. The prices on the website were pretty high.

Every big city needs it signature Ferris wheel! Skyviews Miami is located in Bayside Marketplace. This Ferris wheel is almost 200 feet high offering you gorgeous views of Biscayne Bay and Downtown Miami. All gondolas are fully enclosed and climate-controlled allowing for a safe and comfortable experience. I love that you get to do several rounds which allows you to enjoy the different views from every angle. Afterwards, you can take a stroll around the outdoor waterfront mall Bayside. Skyviews is open daily and kids under 4 ride for free.

So, you know what? it is OK to do Tacky stuff! It is ok to do Tourist stuff! It is ok to do these two things even in your own hood! So today I did just that on the fly. (ie I was in the area and had finished a lunch with friends and had parked in the Bayside customer car park, so was passing and saw the wheeel and went for it!) AND?..... It was good. No queues, no wait, just straight to the kiosk, where I paid for my ticket and and I was up and away. I had a whole air conditioned (so appreciated people, when you live in the 305 and the temp is around 90 - 95 in August) pod to myself - which made me feel very special and decadent! The wheel is almost 200 feet above the Bayside Marketplace, and offers unparalleled views of Biscayne Bay, Bayfront Park, and the iconic Downtown Miami skyline. There are 42 completely enclosed and climate-controlled Gondolas, including one VIP Gondola that features leather bucket seats, a custom LED light show, and a glass bottom floor. Here is the official website - https://skyviewsmiami.com/ You basically do the "loop" three times and get to definitely see every angle that you want to see of this area of miami. I loved it! See all my selfie pictures and also "Normal" pictures for an idea Just a note - if anyone is a bit worried about heights - I felt super safe, it glided eloquently, with no jerks or sudden movements. I went in the day time and I would certainly go again, maybe next time at night!.

As a local Miami resident, I don't think to go spend an evening on Bayside with the tourists but sometimes you just need to feel like a tourist in your own city! My partner and I decided to go on the Skyviews on a weekday evening. The tickets were about $20 each and comes out to $45 for two with the fees. There was a bit of line already formed for a weekday but it moved quickly and it helped to have purchased the tickets ahead of time online. You get our own little glass gondola with AC with is necessary in this very hot and humid city. The ride was about 14 minutes long. The same music and commercials kept playing on the little tv inside which was honestly a little bit annoying. The views were really nice and it was a great way to enjoy the city. It does feel a little overpriced to spend $45 for 14 minutes but if you've never done it, it'll be worth the experience. I'll likely come back for a daytime or sunset ride to have a different experiences.

A great and fun daytime activity to get into! Awesome views of Miami! Great A/C so you won't get hot!

Located in Bayside Marketplace, the Skyviews Miami Observation Wheel is finally open after being delayed by Covid. I was so excited my friend agreed to go with me after dinner to take a ride. General admission is $17 but they have a lot of discounts including a resident ticket for $14 through November 15th if you purchase it at the ticket booth. A ride lasts approximately 15 minutes. Before you enter the ride you can take a selfie at the booth they have set up. The wheel takes you 200 feet above Bayside Marketplace providing the best view of the Magic City. In between riders I was impressed to see the cars being sanitized. From the top of your gondola you get an eagle eye view of Biscayne Bay, Bayfront Park, and the Downtown Miami skyline. You can even see South Beach and out to the Atlantic Ocean. The wheel has 42 climate-controlled gondolas, and one VIP Gondola which has leather bucket seats, a custom LED light show, and a glass bottom floor. Rides in the VIP Gondola are $50 per person. I imagine it will be the scene of quite a few proposals in the coming years. This is such a fun and unique thing to do. All the locals should go and try it out while there is a discount and the lines are short. As the tourists return to Miami I am sure this is going to be a top attraction.

Alejandra, you are amazing! Thanks so much for helping with the engagement surprise while it was pouring rain. We bought VIP tickets which had leather seats and a glass floor. (See photo) It's pretty cool. For my experience, a storm came in and they were required to stop the wheel due to lightning. Alejandra, as I've already commended above, was incredibly helpful at rescheduling and making sure things went smoothly. If you're looking for a good view of Miami this is definitely one of them. Try not to go on a rainy day like we did though.

Must go when in Miami, even if you live here. Friendly attendants, very clean. They sanitize cabins after every ride.

A sweet delight that I think everyone associates with the fair. It is VERY buttery, so that could be a turn off visually to some. I also order the Doritos loco chicken on a stick. Pleasantly surprised with the flavor profile of this. As the name suggests, it's a chicken pierced by a stick. It is fried, and covered with liquid cheese and Doritos crumbs. While unhealthy, it was super delicious. The last item is the one I was most excited for, but unfortunately I would never get again. I heard from some friends that the Birria Ramen was great. Unfortunately, it was overly salty. They use the $1 Marucha ramen cups that you get at Publix, and they put birria mix in it. The taste was overwhelming. I would rate 3/10. Overall, despite me only coming for the food. The FAIR is a fun place to bring the family. It has varies rides, and activities to take advantage of.

If you're like me, who are not there for the rides, do not pass on the shows. The ice skating in particular was so much fun, and so entertaining; good for the whole family. Parking is free, but there is a 'preferred ' parking option where you pay to park closer. I used the free parking but I got there at 2:00pm so the walk wasn't bad. Definitely bring a hat, and possibly one of those portable fans (I did). The heat is no joke and there is limited shade.

This is a staple of theirs as I remember doing that as a child when it was called Parrot Jungle. However, the place seems to be falling apart and it was evident with red decorations falling off at the entrance. This is something that can easily be fixed. The children's play area is nice and pretty big. The treehouse, trampoline and the Beyhive were unique. The treehouse playground though needs a little bit more of an upkeep as part of the ground is lifting and things are falling apart. Seeing the animals was great. I fed a goat and enjoyed doing that but again some of those animals enclosures need more of an upkeep. The animal show at 11:30 AM is a little outdated. I would recommend changing it to make it more entertaining. Overall, if you come, don't have much expectations. It's a nice thing to do after you have done everything else in Miami.

Secondly, amazing is how big it feels despite its size and location (granted, I visited at night for a special event, so your mileage may vary) - though I admit, the exhibits seem too small for some of their fauna inhabitants. Third and finally, visiting it for said special event, Luminosa, was ABSOLUTELY wondrous. Made the visit absolutely worth it (even if my bus almost missed the stop). Plus, the staff is so kind and accommodating. We as a society need to invest and support spaces and places like this that not only offer incredible experiences, but also give back to all its visitors and urban spaces they inhabit - even if they're on a small, missable island (jajaja).

You still have to pay for parking. I recommend the parking lot next door. The Pirate Park Playground was built by Superior Playgrounds who was tasked with designing a one-of-a-kind pirate theme play space to spark creative play and provide a safe place for budding buccaneers to play. The playground is made of recycled material like milk jugs and was created to be corrosion resistant so that it would always look good in this salt water coastal ecosystem. Located only 100 feet from the beach, the playground is fenced in for safety. There is a large pirate ship for older children to climb on and slide down and a smaller area for younger privateers. The crows nest with rigging looked especially fun to climb. Other playground play structures include clownfish and blue tang fish spring riders, a custom octopus playhouse, and palm tree shade. There are four triangle sail shades and poured-in-place safety surfacing to protect little knees and bottoms. Bathrooms are nearby. During my visit the playground was filled with kids and their families enjoying the nautical theme. This unique play space fosters imagination and physical movement for the youngest North Beach residents and visitors.

Still, if you grew up here, you'll always remember it -- even if you wouldn't go back. Santa's Enchanted Forest used to be the South Florida holiday tradition. From November through early January, Tropical Park in Miami transformed into a neon wonderland where Christmas lights met county-fair chaos. It was part holiday magic, part carnival fever dream -- and for a while, it worked. History first: Santa's started back in 1983, and for decades it was billed as the world's largest holiday theme park. Millions of lights, giant Christmas trees, endless photo ops, shows, rides, and of course, food that was 80% sugar and 20% regret. Families drove in from all over -- Broward, Palm Beach, even the Keys -- because if you wanted to see Miami dressed up in twinkling lights, this was the place. It became a rite of passage. If you grew up in South Florida, you went at least once as a kid, took photos in front of the giant Christmas tree, and begged your parents for fried Oreos. But like so many Miami institutions, Santa's didn't age gracefully. Prices climbed higher than the Ferris wheel, parking was a nightmare, and the whole thing started to feel less "enchanted" and more "enchanted scam." The rides looked like they had been patched together with duct tape, the shows lost their charm, and the once-magical lights were the same recycled strands you'd already seen a dozen times. Add in massive crowds and the fact that it eventually lost its home at Tropical Park, and the tradition faded. Nostalgia-wise, though, it still holds a special place in Miami's collective memory. For many of us, it was our first taste of holiday magic -- Miami-style. Think Christmas lights wrapped around palm trees, Santa sweating in 80-degree weather, and a backdrop of reggaeton blasting from someone's car in the parking lot. It was chaotic, it was kitschy, and it was ours.

We loved Santas at tropical park, and as Miami locals for 20+ years we have gone many many times…read more This was my first time coming to the new location. I am going to start off by saying the day ticket is WAY too expensive. They raised the prices like crazy since I last went.... and the place seemed to shrink too. The food inside was expensive, 11 dollars for a roasted corn and 10 for a candy apple. Needless to say we did not eat at the park. There are a couple things i appreciated and continue to appreciate from this park. I appreciate that the parking is free, and that all rides are included with the pass. I also came to find out that they are pet friendly, as I saw about 3 dogs in strollers. Love that! The dirt road comments from last year are no longer relevant in my opinion. They paved the roads and you wont get your white shoes dirty anymore. It also didnt smell like garbage dispite being right next to Doral's garbage mountain.... In conclusion, if they were to lower their ticket prices, this would be a nice little spot to enjoy the holidays. But for now, three stars for effort and key points that made me dislike this place a little less.
