My go to spot for happy hour in downtown Danville!…read more When with my friend for happy hour while both of our kids were volunteering at a school close by. We decided to stop in to enjoy a drink and eat a bit, awaiting their call. They have a good drink selection overall and good options on their happy hour menu. I enjoyed some Rose and a French 75 that was a bit different than the usual, the color of the drink was purple. It was strong and tasty, which is the best drink combo isn't it?!? I also like their happy hour food options; my friend and I shared a margarita flatbread, brussel sprouts and the chicken tacos which was the only one that I could do without, honestly. Great place to chill and to catch up with a friend over drinks and to enjoy some food. Service was good, our server who also a gentleman that was also working at the bar was frowns personable and friendly. Provided us with some good recommendations and made us the pretty French 75.

Bonjour, hi! We…read morecame by during a cutesy Sunday for a casual drink during HAPPY HOUR. Overall, one word: disappointed. Disappointedly, the vibe was quite boring honestly. Hoped for some nice music or maybe a cute fire place, but instead it was mostly quiet with pretty uncomfortable chairs. Service was disappointing. The server was 18 years old with no wine experience to share about the wines that they served. Lastly, and most sadly, the cocktail selection lacked creativity, only really having the staples (manhattan, margarita - not even flavored I might add, paper plane, etc), with no real vision for creativity by the consumer. I was also pretty disappointed with their white wine selection. Seems that they have a rotating wine menu with a very limited variety. When I went, there were only chardonnays, a sauvignon blanc, a Prosecco, and a rosé. Variety was really lacking for a wine bar. Two stars given the caliber of businesses that exist is Danville, in comparison to the product this venue delivered.

From the beginning Jessica was amazing to work with. The tasting was delicious and everything was so yummy it was hard to narrow down what we wanted because we wanted it all! We had salmon and chicken at our wedding and to this day we still get told that it was some of the best food our guests have had. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff were as well. Everyone was approachable, friendly and attentive. I'm so thankful for them and for their efforts to make our day so memorable!

It was such a meaningful milestone event, and their team helped make it truly special. Jessica, the Executive Sales Manager, was fantastic from start to finish -- communicative, accommodating, and incredibly supportive throughout the planning process. She also reassured me that all the food was gluten free (except the rolls) and had vegan/vegetarian options available. On the day of the event, Vicky, Maria, Olivia, Jordyn, Corey, Nitish, Ellie, and Nick were absolutely exceptional. Everything was handled seamlessly and professionally. Their calm, steady presence made such a difference. They checked in at just the right times (never intrusive and always helpful), and anticipated needs before we even had to ask. We received so much positive feedback about both the food and the service; our guests were very impressed. At the end of the event, I hadn't yet had a chance to eat, and the team was so kind and patient, making sure I was taken care of even while they were clearing up (ahead of schedule, so we had no fear of getting close to the "hard stop" time at our event space). That level of thoughtfulness speaks volumes about their professionalism and care. I am so grateful to On the Vine Catering and the incredible team for helping us celebrate our employees. I would highly recommend them for any event where quality, professionalism, and genuine care matter. Thank you so much!

Went with family and even though I was hesitant and outvoted from going to the Vietnamese place…read morenext-door, we actually had a great dinner. Food was so much better this time around than the last time I had been there. They really must've had a bad night when I had gone previously. Small restaurant in the of a little strip mall off of Main Street. They serve classic Chinese American food and unlike most places in the Bay Area that are family style dishes preferably on a Lazy Susan during dinner time. They offer rice plates, or combo plates for individuals, similar to lunch specials. I selected several dishes and asked the server which was the most popular amongst the dishes I chose, and she let me know the salt and pepper fish, which I got with chow mein. We also ordered shrimp & broccoli, and sweet-and-sour pork. Everything appeared made to order and looked very fresh. From grandma to the babes everyone was happy with their food. Mine was more on the plain Jane with just fried fish, luckily it came with sliced jalapeños to give it a kick. Next time I'll order a spicy eggplant dish. This is a good place to go to if you're with a group of picky eaters. Price is very reasonable, especially for dinner.

7/5 /25 Update 3/5 This has been a long time coming…read moreunfortunately. Ever since the previous owners sold the place the quality has dropped significantly. Consistency has been a major issue not only with food but with policy. When they first took over I'm sure there were some learning curves and maybe tweaks to the recipes. I wanted to give them a fair shot to get things right. Not sure if the old cooks stayed or if they got new ones? Did the new owners have the recipes changed? Did they change suppliers of ingredients, etc, I just don't know. What I can tell you though is that at least some of the dishes are different and are off from what I remember. The general Tao sauce I thought tasted different but necessarily bad. But combine that with a definite lack of crisp/crunch with the fried items and that's gonna be a problem for me. This time around, I only got the general tao beef because unlike my previous visit, they did not allow me to order the general tao beef in the combo plate as in upcharge (just last week or the week before it was allowed). I've been multiple times since the change in ownership. Partly because of the convenience of the location and partly because of the hope that whatever meal I eat at any given time will at least satisfy my fix for their type of Chinese American food. Unfortunately, the fried items I loved so much like orange chicken, sweet and sour pork and general tao beef alike are all severely lacking the crunch from the fry. As of late I've been getting the General Tao Beef to track consistency and it's been consistently under cooked in terms of the batter. The beef itself has been rubbery and to the point where I can't even break apart a piece and end up having to eat it whole lots of times. The other problem is that the pieces are large inconsistently cut (sometimes with, sometimes against the grain) strips making for a difficult chew. And because of the lack of crunch the fried battered outside just falls apart when you bite or try to cut it apart. The last two visits, but especially this one considering I ordered extra crunchy, were severely undercooked and soggy. it was to the point this time where I basically had to scrape off the majority of the batter and just eat the rubbery beef inside. It really does bring me pain to drastically drop the rating of a place that I once loved. I hope one day they can make the fixes so that I can continue to enjoy their food once again. I gave them a 3/5 but honestly, it probably should have been 2/5. I think the chicken with hot garlic sauce might be just good enough to keep it at 3/5 even though the last three times I ordered it. It was inconsistently hot (with cold spots) temperature wise.

It's so refreshing to have customer service again and to actually have a manager reach out to see how they can improve. I love this. I came back and got another Dubai chocolate strawberry cup and a gyro pita. The service was MUCH better this time !!! The gyro was delicious and fresh and definitely filling. I was worried that one gyro pita would not fill me up, but it definitely did.. the strawberry cup still seems to be a little expensive however it is delicious overall. We ordered through app , so it was hassle free. Service took some time though . We ordered a chicken shawarma and gyro bowl , and their zinger chicken wrap. Honestly on plate, they looked delicious , but when you have your first bite , it was just meh. All elements are there but flavor was missing. The amount of protein in the bowl was very less in-comparison to places I have tried before . The tahini served was bitter.Pita bread was the only thing which was on point. Zinger chicken wrap was no where close to what it should have tasted. I really wanted to love this place but could not find a single element in our ordered food, which was amazing or out of ordinary .
