It was fine. The view at 18 stories wasn't that much different than our 14th floor hotel balcony. The gondola was hot, even though it was only 70 outside. Everyone knows this, but few go for it because of.......the price. Though SkyWheel is awesome and you'll have the fear of death coursing through your veins as you imagine the wheel rolling into the ocean and tipping over, it's expensive. It's $13 PER adult at the time of this writing, less for kids, and you only get about 3 rotations amounting to about 10 minutes of ride time. The views are incredible any time of day, but there is a price to be paid for it. Best at night. The things you sit in have air as well, so don't worry about that, and they're fully enclosed. If you're lucky and one of the first 4-5 groups put onto the wheel for a spin, you'll get an extra rotation out of it for a little longer trip, but you'll have to wait for the line to go down or get lucky for that to happen. read more

If you want to watch fireworks from the Skywheel, go there Wednesday night, get the tickets at the front, stand in line about 9:52pm and you will end up watching the fireworks from the top of the wheel. One of the best tourist things i ever did. Make sure you get the groupon. It is $18 for 2 tickets. Thats $10 off.. we got 6 rotations, its normally only 3. The Ferris Wheel experience is great. The customer service is what is driving the 1 star rating. I had a coupon that I failed to mention before Amy rung me up. Prior to me giving her my cash I mentioned the coupon to which Amy replied that she had rung me up and there was nothing she could do. I would have left but my 3 year old would not have understood having to leave. The attendants working the ride weren't much better. I suppose being the only Ferris Wheel in Myrtle Beach allows to to take such a lackadaisical approach to customer service. Very disappointing. read more

They sent us all the way back to our car to get a shirt to wear which is why I'm giving it 3 stars because it was a long walk and it's on the beach so I was so confused why wearing a bathing suit was wrong anyways though the AC in those felt very good we were in it for like 25 minuets I'd say a pretty good amount of time it was fun read more

Such an incredible experience! This ferris wheel put all others to shame. At $13 per adult, you get an extraordinary view of Myrtle Beach! We went at night, allowing for a gorgeous look of all the city lights. If you have any hesitation due to fear of heights, small spaces, etc...just do it! I, too, was hesitant, but overcame my fear the moment I discovered how comfortable the ride truly was. Each gondola is completely enclosed, has padded seating, and air conditioning. If you are uncomfortable or wish to end your ride sooner, there is a "help" button located within each gondola. I even overheard the lady at the ticket booth say that one gondola will allow space for up to six adults! Very roomy. Overall, the Skywheel was the highlight of our beach trip. Well worth the money..I would definitely recommend to all! read more

The ride was pretty neat. There is also a coupon in the monster coupon book that is $2 off per person up to 6 people, but has to be used by 5 pm. The girl in the ticket booth was really rude, and the guy watching everyone get off the ride doesn't want you to stop and put up your camera. It wasn't even busy!!! Maybe 10 people in line at a time. I would give it 5 stars but, it's pricey. It's 13.00 a person. The line was quick, the wheel clean and has a great view. It's enclosed and feels safe but, still allows you to see everything because it's windows. There is one seat that is called VIP that you can prepay, it's all glass, etc. It's not worth it to me but, thought I'd throw it out there. You can see the ocean but, make sure you are the seat facing it. The other view is of the amusement park. It isn't the best for pictures though. Personally the myrtle beach area wasn't for me but the sky wheel was very cool! Went up durning the day there was no line. Before you get on they take a picture of you which you can either buy on your way out or buy online. Each pod had air conditioning and it was very comfortable. What a view. I came to the SkyWheel the 29th of June with my wife around sunset. The tickets were 13$ per adult so 26$ for the 2 of us. The wait in line was short, about 5mins. They let the 2 of use in a A/C glass in cased car. The SkyWheel went around for around 10mins. It was very nice to see the city of Myrtle, the beach, and the ocean from a awesome view. The reason I am not giving the SkyWheel 5 stars. Because the ride was little bit to short and kinda pricey. My wife and I still loved the SkyWheel. read more

Riding the SkyWheel is definitely a MUST-DO when you're hanging out on MB. It's in an awesome location, overlooking the boardwalk and ocean & I was absolutely amazed that it was air-conditioned. Of course it costs too much, you are at a tourist trap, but my daughter loved it and most importantly the little pods they put you on are AIR CONDITIONED! The skywheel is located on the boardwalk in the heart of all the shopping, tourist sites, and dining areas. It is enclosed and climate controlled. You go around 3 times and you get great views. It is a bit pricey I think but very fun and the line moved pretty good. read more

Really enjoyed this HUGE ferris wheel and the spectacular views. We were lucky. I think the weather we had yesterday had a direct affect on the thin lines to this good attraction. The regular admission is $13 per adult. But get this. The V.I.P ticket ( which gets you a glass bottom cab, no waiting in lines and multiple rides. But at $50 a pop, I passed.
