    Kayaking through Cherry Grove Marsh

This experience was so amazing!! My wife and I booked a glass kayaks trip for the morning and the weather was perfect, besides a few sprinkles of rain that cooled us off. Jenna was so informative and patient with the first time kayakers. She waited for those in the back while explaining habits and differences of local wildlife in the Cherry Grove Marsh area that we toured. Overall a great experience for spouses and family group outings

Went in with high expectations and came out extremely satisfied. My boyfriend and I did the glass bottom kayak sunset tour. The pathway for the tour is a perfect distance. The scenery is beautiful and peaceful. The tour guides were amazing. Accommodated to other guests and to us. They were very kind and courteous. Jacob did an exceptional job keeping us company and helping throughout our tour, he was also very knowledgeable! 10/10, highly recommended doing this! Kid friendly as well as any other ages.

Amazing! We went on the sunset, Marsh tour. Laura was knowledgeable and fun. We had a relaxing, awesome time. Excatly what I was looking for to wind down my busy day. Would absolutely go again.

We had such a great time on our private island tour to Waites Island during our girls' trip to North Myrtle Beach. Lots of laughs, wonderful finds during our exploration of the island, moments captured on camera by our guide, and a gorgeous sunset to end our tour are just a few things that made this outing unforgettable. Our guides were super friendly; they took their time with us because each person in our party had varying degrees of kayak experience. Our senior guide, Ryan, was very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had concerning the island, marine life, wildlife, etc. This outing is a must if you're vacationing or live in the area.

Just spent a perfect afternoon kayaking! We're here for our anniversary without our kids, but they are never far from our mind, so we had to take the shelling tour and find them some souvenirs. Our guide and her son were the perfect hosts, always keeping us safe, but also being personable and fun! We found lots of fun shells on the private island and it was so relaxing to walk around and see hermit crabs scrambling about and watch the sand spurt up from clam holes. One of our tour members had a hard time on the kayak and they were very respectful and came up with a great way for him to finish the tour. We are experienced kayakers but the others on our tour weren't, and we all had a great time! Thank you for a wonderful day!

We came to rent bikes and then got more than we bargained for. We are visiting from Philadelphia…read moreand wanted to take a day to cruise around for a couple of hours. The electric bikes that we rented were absolutely perfect for the windy day that we were riding. We were able to ride at the shore of the beach and explore neighborhoods of South Carolina. If one needs to feel more active, keep the speed at 1 but if you want more cruising, keep the speed at 5. This was perfect. The wind would have deterred us but the electric bike and Van Rowell came through. Rent these bikes from here. You won't be sorry.

On our way down to Myrtle Beach I just did a basic google search of companies and came across Trailblazer Adventure. We first did the salt marsh tour on a Friday evening. We loved it so much we came back on Monday to do the private island tour! Keats was our guide both times and he made us feel so comfortable and if we got stuck he told us exactly how to get out so we didn't need him to come rescue us. If you want a smaller group this is definitely the place to book through! The salt marsh tour was us and one other couple and the private island tour it was just us. If you're on the fence of doing a kayaking tour just do it! We had tons of fun and would recommend Trailblaze Adventure to anyone we know that goes to visit Myrtle Beach

Next time, I would also supplement with surfboard rental for $10/hour or $30 per day to practice in between lessons. Season ends labor day so if you're interested in lessons after this, would recommend calling. Recommend coming during the week as the beaches are less busy. The surf lesson hut is right at the edge of the beach and the parking lot near the hotel's water park area. Check in and signing waivers are at the surf shack. Open cubbies (not secure) to leave towels, sandals, small ice cooler etc behind the shack. Outdoor open shower for general use to rinse off afterwards located behind the shack on the way to the beach also. Parking: Booking instructions say that there is a white 2-story parking structure across the street (unknown cost) as I did free street parking.

The best things for me as the parent were 1) the price and 2) the flexibility. $10/ hr can't be beat. And for novice surfers, the fact that they could try and then come back and switch boards if needed took a lot of stress off of us to pick the perfect size or shape. Very happy we chose Jack's. *note that driving directions took us to a different business parking lot. Jack's is a kiosk in the parking lot in front of the pier.
