Horses are started slow and correct. Simple horsemanship, incredible results. Bring your problem horses, colts, or finished cutters to be shown and ridden at the utmost of care. In barn vet means horses are meticulously looked after and cared for. Private location, high security. Indoor, outdoor, roundpen, stalls, wash rack, cutting pen with mechanical flag, mare motel, and plenty pasture space! read more

If I could give this trainer no stars I would. Not only was she very rude to my friend who is very…read moreknowledgeable about gaited horses but she promised her deposit back when she called her way less than 24 hours after she gave it to her. She Then allowed the horse owner to call and refuse to refund her deposit! We both heard Tiana say it was refundable. A vet check wasn't even discussed until after this statement. Very unprofessional because Tiana was representing the horse, not the owner. Legally the deposit should be returned. My friend changed her mind with in a 20 hour period. This trainer was also Riding in tennis shoes. Not impressive or a good example to her students. She was rude & abrasive to my friend which was totally unacceptable.

I would say that her tolerance for difficult horses is much greater than for difficult people. My experience is one of our twelve year old going on her fourth year riding with Tiana. Our daughter cannot think about doing anything other than being at LisRobin Barn all weekend, every weekend with Tiana, the horses and a great group of girl pals that share the love of horses and each other. We appreciate the passion, responsibility culture and knowledge that Tiana brings to her girls. The girls learn how to WORK, how to show respect the ol' Virginny way and what it means to love and care for an animal. (I would recommend reading the additional filtered reviews - I can assure you that these are not "reviews for hire" - these are from folks like me that are concerned that one negative review will harm our friends at LisRobin. To get the real picture, I'd advise heading down to the Barn some Saturday to see for yourself.) We are blessed to have such a wonderful program right here under our noses. Her lessons were about an hour and a half long, which is very generous. I learned how to groom and prepare horses for being ridden, which is something I've never been able to do. I really enjoyed getting to bond with the horse I rode, named George. She is a great trainer and George always listened to her, even when he'd just come in from being ridden and was getting prepped for my lesson. Great facility with numerous arenas. Monica is the best!

She fit us in quickly because my black lab has surgery coming up this Wednesday, which I really appreciated. What truly sets her apart, though, is the care and understanding she shows for each dog. My fox red lab is extremely nervous around people. She usually barks, cowers, and takes a long time to warm up. Cathy generously offered for me to bring her in just to spend time in the space with her, her husband, and their dogs, purely to help her feel more comfortable. The moment we arrived, I could tell this place was special. The space is beautiful and clearly designed with dogs in mind, and Cathy herself is just lovely. Almost immediately, my nervous pup, who usually barks at everyone, was calmly approaching her, sniffing her hand, and even taking treats without making a sound. I was honestly amazed. I left feeling completely at ease, knowing both of my dogs were in the best possible hands. Cathy kept me updated throughout the entire visit, not only about my black lab's groom, but also about my other pup who wasn't even there for a groom. She simply took the time to help her build comfort and trust for future visits, which is something you just don't see often. When I came back, my black lab looked perfect, and both dogs were happy, relaxed, and honestly didn't want to leave. That says everything. People like Cathy are truly special. This is absolutely our place from now on.
