My husband and I heard of Slater's from a friend. We decided to try it for lunch. We had simple fare - cheeseburger, BLT, fries and water. Delicious, fresh and good portions. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun place to explore the adult beverages and Babcock Ranch branded clothing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will come back and try other things on their menu board.

So I finally decided to try this place out for lunch after passing it for a year while working at Babcock. Honestly at first didn't even realize it was a restaurant. Today i didn't want to drive to far and was in the mood for a burger. So this location is a restaurant/ market they carry clothing (Babcock branded) and additional household items. When you enter you have to make your order at the counter they will provide you with a table number and you find your own seat. They offer inside and outside seating. The location can accommodate big and small parties. I ordered the cheeseburger with fries. The cheeseburger was your typical double patty cheeseburger with lettuce, onions and tomatoes. The burger was good but nothing out of this world. I found the meat a little flavorless or lack of flavor, could have used better seasoning. The fries were pretty good thick and well fried seasoned fries. I will have to revisit this location and try another one of the selections and see how it stacks up.

Slaters is packed full of good food and great people. Cannot go wrong when you need a quick bottle or a tomato. They have the provisions!

The food has been consistently good. Since it is mostly self serve but they do drop off your order. The pricing is reasonable

We spent time walking around looking at all the artwork while waiting for our food, and there was a lot to see. They also had a big selection of seasonal specials, which was fun. I ordered the Island Vibes Punch, which was supposed to have coconut, pineapple, and matcha. I was expecting something more like a piña colada with matcha, but it ended up being really citrus-heavy and honestly kind of strange, not in a good way either. Two people in our group ordered it, and both drinks actually tasted different from each other. The food took a while to come out, probably around 20-30 minutes, but the staff was super nice and apologized several times. The food itself was okay. My sandwich could have used more filling because parts of it were mostly just bread. Overall, I'm glad we went because it was a cool experience and a fun place to explore, but it's probably not somewhere I'd go back to regularly.

I asked the waitress if the potatoes were deep-fried because if they were I did not want them. And she had a look that she didn't understand me, but didn't ask or clarify anything. My husband ordered the country skillet. The coffee was delicious He said the country skillet was very good.. My omelette did not have any mushrooms in it. But what was odd it was the shredded potatoes and she had the Kitchen deep fry the shredded potatoes. When I asked her about that, she replied with "you said you wanted them deep fried" I said no I said I didn't want them if they were deep fried. She said "Let me see if I can get you another side" She came back with the hashbrowns not deep fried. The omelet itself appeared to be cooked in oil as it was very greasy. I chose ham as my meat specifically to avoid this kind of an outcome The potatoes were also very heavy in oil , or whatever it is, they used to cook them with The food came out quickly and the waitress is very nice. If I go back, I'd probably just get poached eggs in a bowl with a side of ham.
