The Rustic Sandwich & Deli First Impressions: I finally stopped by The Rustic to try the sandwiches and see what all the hype was about. The dining area is small but very functional, with a couple of tables, some bar seating, a soda cooler, with a large wall menu, and an ordering counter. Everything was spotless and neatly arranged. Olivia took our order and could not have been friendlier. She answered every question we had, while the owner, Ralph, stood nearby and shared more about the deli. He explained that he is from Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia, and that the sandwiches are made fresh, with some items prepared in-house each day. He even described the bread they use. Both Olivia and Ralph were welcoming and took the time to help us choose our meals. Kudos to them for making us feel like regulars on our very first visit. What We Ordered: *Rachel: Corned beef and coleslaw on marbled rye, lightly heated *Swiss Tuna: Homemade tuna with Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on a sub roll *Drinks: Selected from the cooler My Thoughts: Our sandwiches were outstanding. My corned beef and coleslaw sandwich was flavorful and easily the best version I have found in the area. It arrived lightly heated, just the way I like it. My wife's Swiss tuna sandwich was enormous and packed with freshly made tuna. The lettuce and tomato were crisp and fresh, and the sub roll was excellent. The portion was so generous that she took half of it home. Final Verdict: If you are in the area, stop by The Rustic and grab a sandwich. Holy mackerel this place is FANTASTIC! From the ambience to the service to the menu and the flavors! My husband had the club which is made with turkey ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato cheese, mayo, and onions, and I had the best seller, the Myju, which is basically a Philly cheesesteak. It co tsk d Philly beef, onions, mushrooms, roasted peppers, provolone cheese, and mayo. Everything is made fresh to order. The club is loaded with meat and fresh veggies. The bread is flown in from New York and is so flavorful. It has the soft inside with the chewy crust it's just to die for. The Myju contains Philly beef, chopped up fresh onions, fresh mushrooms, roasted peppers, provolone cheese, and mayo on a hoagie style bun. It was filled with meat fresh veggies in the flavor was out of this world. These people know how to make a sandwich. I will definitely be back. Very friendly owners. Looking forward to added options on their menu and trying different things. We had two sandwiches and two sodas @almost $38. I thought that was on the pricey side but perhaps the added price in part contributed to having their bread flown in. Happy though to have a quality option when in the mood for a sub. The owners are delightful, if you're eating inside there's plenty of room, you can buy deli meats by the pound also. A hidden gem in Cape Coral, will try a regular sandwich next time. read more

the sandwiches were excellent and the owner was supper friendly. i had the smokey blue and it had a pound oh sliced ribeye it was wonderful, my wife had a Rubin which was hot and delish, my daughter had grilled Jeff which was marinated chicken with peppers tomato and balsamic vinegar. I've ordered here through Uber Eats several times. Every single time, I receive super fresh and delicious food. The breakfast sandwiches are next level, forget anywhere else. I usually get the bratwurst egg and cheese and the bread is so soft and fresh it feels like they baked it just for my order. The meatball sandwich is tasty as well as the steak and cheese. My absolute favorite thing on the menu, however, is the potato salad. My grandmother is from Germany and this is the closest I've tasted to her German potato salad in 20 years.
