I've now been swimming at The Swimstitute on Folsom Blvd. in Rancho Cordova for about seven years,…read moreand it continues to be an excellent facility for serious swimmers. This is a private, membership-based pool with an 8-lane, 25-meter setup. The water temperature and quality are consistently perfect, which makes every swim enjoyable. The facility is well-maintained and clean. The pool itself is spotless, the lockers were recently upgraded, and the shower area is always kept in great condition. It's clear that they prioritize upkeep, which I really appreciate. The staff here are always friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. That said, this is very much a swimmer's pool--designed for lap swimming and training rather than recreational use or family playtime. While they do have some equipment available for use, most swimmers bring their own gear. One of my favorite aspects is how uncrowded it is when I go early in the morning. I usually get a lane to myself, which is such a luxury compared to other pools. The membership fees are very reasonable for what you get--especially considering the quality of the facilities and the experience. If you're looking for a pool geared toward training or serious lap swimming, I highly recommend The Swimstitute. It's not designed for wading or casual recreation, but if you're a swimmer, this place is perfect!

I had a not-so-great experience and decided to take my business to the Swimstitute instead. I started out with buy a block of swim passes, just to make sure I liked it. Due to my work schedule at the time, I'd end up going in the afternoons when all the kids had their swim classes. That wasn't ideal for me so when it came time to take the step to a monthly pass, I opted not to. The value just wasn't there and I felt like the pool wasn't maintained as well as 24 hour fitness'.

Miss Caelyn was sweet to our 9 year old, who loved her first class! I would recommend this location, I went to Tricks once as a child! They offer several classes based on age. One of the limitations they have is gymnastics. Boys can join gymnastics if they are under four (? Or 5?) years old, but when they get older, they cannot move to a higher level because it is for girls only. Otherwise, they have dance, swimming and Tag. We currently have our daughter enrolled in tag, and most of the teachers are pretty good. It gets a bit tricky when you have other kids in the same class who are disruptive and the teacher doesn't do much to navigate to the class back. If! You are a parent that likes to come early before the class, it might be a bit tricky getting in since the other classes are just getting out. With that, the best area to park is in the back. There's even a back door there you can enter through. If you miss a class or are planning to miss a class, you just have to make sure to notify them via website two hours prior to the class so that you can get a make up for the class for next time, so make sure you grab all of the class schedules located in the check-in desk on the wall because you can choose any make up class to try! Overall, it's a good all in one place to try.

This review is based on our birthday party experience…read more Coach Bella and Coach Paola were just AMAZING! I brought everything I needed (though there are incredible options where you don't have to bring anything).... After that, I didn't have to do anything. Bella and Paola set up the whole place, had games and activities planned for the kids, served the food and cleaned up everything! Their energy was warm and inviting - all kids had a great time, and that was surly because of this incredible team! I should also note the place is clean and you have the venue to yourself. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a party venue for kiddos 2-5!

I visited Little Whale Tumbling School on a weekday afternoon with the goal of buying a gift card for my friend's daughter. Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised by how cute and lovely the school looked inside. It was very clean, well-organized, and had a fun yet relaxing vibe. I was greeted with extremely friendly and welcoming customer service. The staff member who assisted me took her time explaining the gift card process and annual membership fee. While I set up my account to complete the purchase, she kindly engaged in a great conversation about growing up in SoCal and living in Sacramento. By the end, I successfully purchased the gift certificate I came for and left with such a positive impression. If you're a parent considering a tumbling school for your child, I highly recommend checking out Little Whale Tumbling School! They were so helpful and happy to answer my questions. Location tip: Little Whale Tumbling School is located on the opposite side of the building from Little Whale Swim School, around the corner from Donut Fair.
