Our normal hotel was fully booked so ee came to this one and It was one of the worst hotels i have ever been to we had to change rooms 2 times one room had bed bugs another was not handycap then this morning the then this morning, when the issues were brought to the attention of the front desk, you could hear the manager robin screaming in the background like it was our fault we had issues she would not come out and even apologize face-to-face for the issue. We've stayed here a few times, and it's always been adequate. There's plenty of parking, and it's within walking distance of a Cracker Barrel and a TGI Friday's. There are also gas stations, restaurants, drug stores and more less than five minutes away. The staff is always friendly, and there are nearly always snacks and extras provided- coffee, cookies, and popcorn. It's always fun to pick something up on the way in, or come down for a snack later in the day. The rooms are small and simple, with the basic necessities. They do have a mini-fridge and a microwave, so save your leftovers! The bathroom is small with a walk-in shower, but it does the job. There is a pocket door, so it doesn't lock. The sink is separate from the toilet and shower, which is a bonus when getting ready in the morning or at night. There is a fitness room and an indoor pool, as well as a business center. Breakfast is included, and includes scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, cinnamon apples, biscuits (with hot gravy to add). There is a waffle station, as well as cold items like cereal, fruit, bread, and bagels. Pretty much anything you'd expect at a hotel breakfast, with plenty of room to sit and eat. This is a great location, and we've always enjoyed this hotel. If you need a spot to stay in the area, I'd recommend it! read more

Very friendly and helpful staff. Upon checking in we were told when and where our complimentary breakfast would be available. Shown where coffee and cookies (yummy) could be enjoyed. Our room was clean and very nice. I would recommend the Sleep Inn to anyone and would stay again if stopping in Charleston in the future. read more

I've now stayed here 5 times this year when traveling for work and it's always need a good place but it did slip this trip. My room fridge wasn't working & the toilet never would stop running all night . have consistently stayed at this hotel multiple times, for 2 years. It has always been clean and safe, with the kindest staff until January 2025. The General Manager was extremely rude and out of line- she actually called me after booking a stay and said that they no longer accept group rates, the previous manager was out of line doing so, and that the pool was closed. She immediately hung up the phone! You have lost a loyal customer and I will not be back, nor will my organization that books multiple rooms annually! Worst customer experience I have had! read more

This is a beautiful and clean hotel. I'd definitely recommend and I'd stay here again. Front desk woman was super kind and helpful. They had drinks and cookies for guests! The halls are nice and since it's a 100% non smoking facility it smells really good inside. The rooms are modern with amenities most hotel rooms don't have like an armoire and lots of recessed lighting strategically placed around the room. There's an outlet near the nightstand so you can charge your phone at night. There's a small corner with a chair and a light above it if you wanted to read or just sit instead of lay or sit in bed. This hotel is outside of downtown so the rooms aren't as expensive. Easy to sleep here and drive into downtown the next day. I highly recommend this hotel if your in the area! read more

3.5 stars Adequate free hot breakfast selection, close to freeway, free Otis Spunkmeyer cookies and popcorn in lobby. Fitness center consists of 3 treadmills and 1 elliptical that are pretty much right on top of each other, so if there was anyone else there working out that you didn't know, it'd be pretty awkward. Nice staff. I like how each floor has a little lounge/seating area for if you need to escape your room/travel companions for a bit. read more

Cracker Barrel right next door. TGIF down the road, quarter of a mile. King room excellent, nice, clean & comfortable. Even a regular cabinet to lay your suitcase on to find your items. There was even an extra blanket & pillow in the closet, if needed. Truck parking looks available, but it's a winding road going up & you would want to be in there early, by 1500. Breakfast area boasts real eggs, as well as rice & a variety of rice seasonings , fresh cut up fruit & oatmeal along with the usual assortment of breakfast pastries & fruits. They have an indoor pool & sauna style smaller round pool. Very clean. They also boast an exercise room. The staff at the front desk are very pleasant & accommodating. They are quick to inform you of the amenities offered & provide extra towels should you need them. The outside parking lot was spacious and clean. There is also a pretty decent view of the surrounding area, as this Inn sits atop a hill. read more

Everything I want in a quick stop, just off the Interstate with an easy in and out and not too far from the Interstate. Quiet location, not right on the main artery so no road noise. There's a Cracker Barrel right off the parking lot if you don't want to drive for dinner. The room was very clean and furnishings nice and new. One small nit is the room I had, there was a street light just outside and room-darkening shades would have been nice, but it wasn't that bright. Everything else was just spot-on. An entrance staircase arrangement too that made the hotel feel more up-market. The breakfast was a whole counter of hots, and a separate whole counter of cold selections, really lots of choices, and a rice cooker and flavor packets, something different and extra. Very clean rooms! Personal friendly also. That's the main thing in my book. Rooms were quiet. I like to leave curtains cracked when not on first floor so as to wake with the sunlight, but the parking lot lights were very bright. Which is good to check on your vehicle! Plenty of parking in back. Security is good. They have a decent breakfast area- waffles, fresh fruit, pastries, etc. and a big plus for our family... hot rice! First I've ever seen this in a hotel. My grandson would have really been happy here as he eats rice every meal!!! read more

Great place to stay!!! Very clean! Did not have a cot or roll away bed but was able to get an air mattress at a store close by. Had dinner at cracker Barrel. That was not so good! This was my first time staying in a Sleep Inn hotel. This one sits on top of a hill. We were greeted very nicely by the woman at the front desk. She upgraded us to a King Suite and gave us a "goodie bag" that had a bottle of water, a cereal bar, and a couple of other things. My husband is a member of their hotel club and his status (which is earned by # of nights stay) is a higher level which is why we were upgraded. They also had free chocolate chip cookies. I took one and it was delicious. Our room was very nice and very clean. I was impressed. Our bed was extremely comfortable and made for a good night's sleep. In the hallway leading to our room was a seating area. I sat there and made business calls while my husband rested in our room. Usually I have to go to the lobby of the hotel to do that so this was a nice change. Every employee that came in contact with was very nice and very friendly. A lot of times hotel employees will avert their eyes and be very quiet. I definitely like the friendliness better. The breakfast choices were endless! You could have a hot or cold breakfast. There was everything from biscuits and gravy to yogurt. I usually have a protein bar for breakfast so this was a nice treat for me. I also took advantage of the hot tub and pool. The area was very nice and very clean. Not only did the hot tub work but it was a nice temperature. (You would be amazed at how many hotels have broken hot tubs or hot tubs with room temperature water.). It was so relaxing. This is a great place to stay!! read more

Great hotel, for the most part. Clean, decorative, comfortable rooms. The pool and hot tub are clean and relaxing. However, the hotel staff was unfriendly, no one was at the phones/front desk for most of the evening, and the security guard could be seen smoking cigarette after cigarette right outside the building. He escorted children out of the pool rudely and had an attitude. Another incident occurred where a man who clearly worked here was seen by our small children shouting and swearing about "a meeting" right in the front desk. The hotel it's self is wonderful, offering wifi, pool and hot tub, and it's coffee and popcorn bar overnight was a wonderful surprise. Breakfast was also delightful and accommodating. The staff and guard are my only complaint. read more

The customer service was absolutely flawless; Jessica was extremely helpful. The rooms were clean, the shampoos smelled amazing, and the pool was open late enough for me and my girlfriends to watch the sunset from the water. They allowed us a late check-out at 12:30, and they even upgraded my room to a king suite for FREE upon signing me up for Choice Rewards. 10/10, would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back. read more

We stay here every time we drive to NC to see my family. We stay in room 135. It's always great! Very nice suite. Couch pulls out into a bed for our son. It's right near an entrance door & the pool. Always super clean. Bathroom huge. Lots of items available for breakfast. Marissa really put them over the edge this time as I left my wedding rings on the bedside table. Once called she quickly ran down personally to get them and offered to mail today with insurance and tracking. Phew. What a weight lifted off my mind. I really appreciate it. read more

We stayed here Fri evening on our way to Indianapolis & they took us in with no reservation. They were able to accommodate a family of 4. You could smell freshly popped popcorn & cookies on the counter when you walked in. The rooms were cleaned & smelled good. Full hot continental breakfast including cereal, Greek yogurt, eggs, muffins, waffles with so much to choice from & very delicious. Indoor pool that my sons liked with fresh clean towels. 2 nights later we were needing a place to stay so we called in & spoke to Patrick. Told him we stayed Fri night & we were coming through on our way home. Asked if there is a room available. His response was yes & he saved us a room plus gave us the travelers discount. By far the best Choice Hotel we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The front desk staff was awesome. The hotel offered, not only breakfast, but DINNER! WHAT?! We were offered fresh salad, iced lemon water, cheesy chicken pasta soup with bread sticks and cookies. Along with the 24 hour coffee bar this was impressive. Then we got to the room. We were upgraded to a King suite after reserving two queens. A pleasant surprise to be certain! The best was the most comfortable of any hotel we have stayed in. The television is giant and the number of pillows on the bed is sure to please even the biggest pillow fans. The room was decorated beautifully and the theme throughout the entire hotel was lovely. The colors were calming and tasteful. The wifi was excellent and the front desk was generous with coupons to local eateries as well as casino cash for the local casino. Overall our stay here was excellent. The best of the stays we had during a cross country trip to visit family during a weeks time. We did not partake of the full breakfast that was offered, however we did have a look. Generous offerings of eggs, biscuts and gravy, cinnamon rolls, cereal, juice, a waffle station and more. The intoxicating aroma of bacon filled the lobby as we checked out. Definitely recommend this hotel who proudly boasts several chain awards on their wall and I can say from experience that they are well deserved. read more

Great hotel. Clean, quiet, with a very friendly staff. Seeing it is rated the best hotel in the Clarion group 2015 was great, however, finding out that they won it 4 years in a row is a testament to their attention to detail. We stayed just one night with our three kids and it was nothing short of wonderful. We were greeted with fresh popcorn and cookies. Breakfast is basic but good. Highly recommended.
