However, the room was dusty. It's obvious they don't deep clean in these rooms. Can be a bit of a turn off for most travelers.

I checked all my hotel apps and found this Marriot Property that was highly rated and affordable for the price. The hotel looked newer and the rooms looked very modern and clean. Check-in was seamless and I found myself in a very large room. The room was set up perfectly for a business traveller. The room had USB and electrical outlets strategically placed so there were ample areas to plug in my devices. The wifi was easy to connect to and had a very strong signal, perfect for connecting through a VPN or Firewall while still being able to connect to my streaming services. The room itself was very spacious, well decorated and almost a full-sized kitchen. My bed was very comfortable and I had a good night's sleep every night I was there. The property has many areas where guests can socialize and connect on the first floor if they don't want to just stay in their rooms. The lobby was bright with an array of tables and chairs to relax and connect to your devices. The Fitness center was above average and had a very good assortment of fitness equipment including free weights, exercise balls and multiple cardio machines. You can get a good workout in the gym. The food served at breakfast had a good assortment of hot and cold items, healthy choices and of course plenty of pastries, baked goods and very good coffee. This was the perfect location for being close to customers, and restaurants and for travelling in the area and into Mobile. I would put this hotel high on my list for future visits to the Mobile area. The only critique I have is that the rooms are very large and the TVs in the main area and the bedrooms are very small.

I was trying to relax in the infrared steam room and could not enjoy it due to all the noise. I saw others being offered champagne and mimosas and I was never asked. I asked for one at the end and the hostess was kind enough to bring one. The ladies spa room was crowded the entire time I was there so I didn't get to enjoy the hot tub either. BUT despite those small things, the massage is what I was there for and Tera knocked it out of the park. She really has heavenly hands and was phenomenal. The hotel is old and our bathroom had some issues but it overall we have enjoyed our stay.

The check-in and valet staff as well as the Bell staff are always very friendly and attentive. On our last day, the Bell stand went out of their way to assist us up to the room. Again, very friendly and helpful. This is a clean and safe property. It is my preferred hotel when I stay in downtown Mobile. I average around 100 Marriott nights a year around the world, and this is absolutely in my top 10 favorite properties and maybe in the top five. I wish the Trellis room (restaurant) was open for dinner on weekends, that would be my only feedback. Management does a great job ensuring the property is clean and safe, as well as ensuring well trained and courteous staff.

The first room week had the tub didn't drain and the sink never had cold water, the toilet didn't flush without extra effort of holding the handle down for a minute and sometimes flushing twice. Also the AC Was an older model and didn't function great. Also there were cockroaches. Little guys, but roaches non the less. The wifi in that room was also weak. And I was right above the office. When the roofers started working and disturbed my sleep during the day (I work nights) they couldn't offer and discounts below the weekly rate but they moved my travel partners and I to a different room. The new room. The shower drains and has great hot water, the toilet flushes on the first try but has a tendency to plug. The AC works great. The tv hdmi didn't work, it took a lot of fucking with the tv to get the hdmi to recognize the signal. The wifi doesn't work in this room at all. Both rooms if you move the furniture dirty as fuck underneath. Also the pool looks bigger in the pictures. One benefit is the clientele aren't too bad in the hotel, it's not super loud. Also cars are safe in the parking lot. You're near the coast. If I came down to work again, I would probably find another place to stay.

The longer you stay the more things you notice. I am a firm believer you get what you pay for and at $50 a night I guess it's ok but I would pass and move on to the next hotel. The bathrooms are horrendous.
