Room did not look like nothing on the website. When we first got here and went to check into the room, since we had to pay with a different card then we had on file, the little lady acted liked it was to much for her to do. After I came in with my mother to help, the lady immediately was very racist and said she can't switch the cards and gave attitude. She did this with other guest and was racist to the other african americans. We finally got a room. After. 30 minutes. After coming back we took the stairs just to find roaches in the stair case. read more

Do not stay here. This place is not good at all. As you can see from the pics, the place rented rooms to all these truckers and there is no place to park. The trucks are taking up 4 spaces each. There was also a lady banging on a room door on 4th floor. She looked drunk and on drugs. Very dangerous situation. The room I got before, the room started to smell like cigarette smoke. The hotel is a non-smoking hotel. I haven't even talked about the rooms. The bathroom door had to be pushed opened with strength of Hercules. Find some place else. read more

The cost of the rooms and the quality seem to line up. I paid $107 a night for a two queen bed room. Fair price for being a short 7 min drive to the beach. I saw a mostly lower middle class population with just a few business professionals in my comings and going's. The staff that I encountered all seemed to be kind and professional as well as helpful. They offered a free round of golf next door at check in. The pool is both indoor and outdoor as it spreads from a covered area to an open area. I never made it to the free breakfast as I was up and out before it started at 6 so I can't speak on that. The hotel could have been cleaner but overall served me well. I read more

So I have stayed at many hotels in my day and this place is rough. Here is what is going on here. Elevator broken & must take stairs. Only 2 lounge chairs by pool. Lots of bugs in the pool. Well, l liked the mini gulf thing you used to have. l know the hotel was sold and there is no agreement anymore. This was one of the biggest reasons l liked this hotel. We went here last week on the 24th-25th. l do like the location. North from all the congestion. l will have to think next time staying here. Also, the food at breakfast, could be better. The staff seemed nice. it is a tourist destination and folks working can get tired of tour-ons (Tourist morons). So, the fact the front desk took some time to talk and make suggestions, was nice. l liked the pool. They covered up the whirlpool. We liked that option. l was a little disappointed by that option. l was able to get the best price possible, $105 a night. A little high and yet, not bad considering the time of year. read more

When have you ever booked a hotel reservation weeks in advance (where its noted in the reservation that funds are due on arrival) and showed up to find out they cancelled it? Thats right, NEVER. Well, Sleep Inn at Harbour View did exactly that. I booked a room middle of June for last night and we showed up at 7pm to check in and the manager said they cancelled our reservation at 5pm because "my credit card declined". They also said they called to see if we were still coming. BULLSHIT! No call and no statement showing any type of charge even attempted on my credit card which by the way has a $0.00 balance and a $6,000 limit. BULLSHIT! What happened is they had someone at the counter willing to pay a higher rate than what I locked it in at back in June so they just cancelled mine. No sorry, no attempt to right their wrong, nothing! We had a great stay here! Some other reviews are outdated. I'd recommend the place for the cleanliness, service, and safety as a good budget stay. Within 15-20 minutes of good stores, restaurants etc. Would return! read more

My husband and I stayed here because we booked a dive trip that left out of Cricket Cove Marina. This was a great hotel for the price. It was a 5 minute drive to the Marina and a 20 min drive to Myrtle beach. The hotel was very clean, easy check in, and a very good breakfast. The only negative is the sound carried too well throughout, but you get what you pay for. I'd definitely stay here again if we go down there. read more

This place is one of the nastiest hotels I've stayed at. The room had dust bunnies all over the floor. The mirror above the vanity was hung crooked. Our AC didn't work right, which I'm guessing they already know since we had a ceiling fan in our room. The bathroom was the size of a half bath with a stand up shower so small I could touch all four sides at once. It also, at one time had a glass door that has since been replaced with a shower curtain so when we did shower, water was everywhere. Stay here this past weekend for a family Reunion. Where do I start, the pm manager seemed to have other things on her mind,apparently she was training a new employee who wasn't quite grasping the proper way to register my wife and I in. This older lady(the manager) would shove the pen and registration form at my wife and continue to try to instruct the employee with us looking on. Long story short she was very rude. Another Yelper said you could here toilet flush next door,it's true. Breakfast lousy. Room decor atrocious. If you're looking for cheap and nothing around but a golf course and mattress store this dump is for you. If you're going to myrtle beach spend a little extra you'll be so glad you did. By the way I saw that rude manager leaving after work she had a large suitcase I guess her mind was on her vacation and not mine. One star just for the interesting tile floor. read more

As someone who travels weekly and stays in hotels, I can easily say one of the WORST hotels to stay at. The management here is just downright rude and the price is not worth the stay. The cherry on top is, after a long day of working in the sun and checking in to our hotels, food is quite limited. My crew decided to cook out on a grill on the tailgate of our truck (plenty far away from the hotel) and was told they were not allowed to cook and told if they were to do so again, would not be allowed to stay here. If I could leave zero stars for just the rudeness in general, I would. Do yourself a favor, take your money to a comfort inn where the rooms are actually decent and you could enjoy your evening. read more

I do have to agree with other posts about the noise. You hear everything!!! I would not stay here again. The night clerk was ignorant and barely spoke English. She had zero cares to give about my complaints and quickly called the manager when I told her I was going to see the manager in the morning and told on herself to back door me. They wanted $20 extra dollars for a cot and refused to put it on the card so I had to go to the desk and pay then wheel the cot up myself. This is frustrating when you have a bunch of kids a bed time and you just spent a ridiculous amount of money entertaining and feeding them. The pool wasn't bad and the weight room was better than most one nighters. The breakfast spread was pretty good too. read more

The hotel was clean and the bed was comfy. Nothing spectacular, but a great value for a night or two. Free breakfast is included.

Horrible dirty low class hotel. Poorly managed and maintained. Very noisy- can hear toilets flushing and water running all night. Managers not interested in complaints. Do not recommend. Stay clear of this place! read more

My experience at this hotel was horrendous. My family and I had many problems. From the shower handle breaking in my hands to a cockroach in our room. And those were only some of our problems. We may have changed rooms, but that didn't stop things from happening. Due to our awful experience, I recommend not staying here unless you are desperate. read more

Stayed for a Sat & Sun night in July. Wife used the bathroom when we got to room and toilet didn't flush. The room also had a stale odor. We went to front desk to report the toilet and I was floored when the desk clerk asked me if I wanted a plunger! I said I didn't want to plunge the toilet and was told no one was on staff who could do it and this is what they usually told the guests. I asked for another non-smoking room and was told there were none available. I told her if I plunged the toilet I wanted a discount. She then told the Assistant Manager (I assume that's who it was) what I said and was told in a rude manner I would have to contact the GM for a discount and her card was on the counter. It was late, otherwise we would have left. The bed was comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was good. But - the room was not very clean - the shower door, refrigerator door, and ice bucket looked like they hadn't been cleaned for quite a while. The carpet was dingy and dirty and partiers on our floor were making noise until 2am. For more than $315 for two nights, I expected a lot more. Since returning home I have asked the hotel GM for at least a partial refund, but have not heard anything. ChoiceHotels was very nice on the phone and gave us Choice points, but said only the GM of the hotel could refund money. I don't plan on staying at a Sleep Inn again. read more

This 'hotel' is so not worth the money, the employees are rude the second day of staying here the maids never made the beds and I called the front to ask why and they made a lame excuse. The rooms are old, the hallways are like a dungeon, they have us in a room facing the indoor pool which isn't the greatest sight I feel like I'm watching someone like a weirdo when I look outside the window. It wasn't the best value and or experience in myrtle beach! Do yourself a favor and spend the extra 20 for a better room! read more
