This hotel is average--there's nothing special about it. I was in town for work, and this hotel was pretty close to where I needed to be. The location is good--it's close to Cherry Grove. The lobby and hallways have a nautical theme. There are Fall decorations in the lobby. There's a small bar across from the front desk that closes at 10 or 11. The customer service is lacking--the front desk associates weren't very friendly or welcoming. My room had a funny odor--like wet dog. It wasn't strong but it was definitely there. The bathroom had adequate counter space.

    Best snacks ever!

This is the most egregious example of a company or business owner manipulating photos to make a 1979 era hotel look modern. I will attach the real pictures just took a week ago 4-1-22 that's no April fool's joke either. The staff was great let's start there. Not a problem, the rooms.... pathetic, old popcorn ceilings, old plumbing fixtures. I was told the hotel was renovated in 2012??? The only other explanation is the owner has very poor taste in hotel decor. What a mess!! The food Mheeh! Just same old Hampton inn food. Snack bar is probably the best I have ever seen on any Hampton property. Pool, ok I guess. Very tiny TV in the king room and so far away I needed my glasses to see it. That's just being cheap to purchase larger TV'S for the larger rooms. I guess the room was clean enough. But old worn outdated decor Looked like a nursing home for blind people. SHAME SHAME! look at my pictures you be the judge.

First off it is a Hampton, albeit, an older one but it appears to be freshned up. I came for bike week, so I knew what to expect. The rooms were clean and cold, I had no problem with the ac. The hotel is located on the way to a popular bike / beach bar so you do get the over revving bikes going by. But if you want to be near the bar, it is a great choice. There are also a couple of good restaurants within walking distance which is nice, Captain Bills Island Time, but that is another review. The rooms were fine, again, a little older, but clean and updated. The water pressure in the shower was barely acceptable, but it worked. The breakfast was the normal hampton fare. I typically only eat the fruit and oatmeal, so how can I go wrong? And the coffee is free and better than most drip stops...

Decent hotel for quick lodging and utilizing points. Decent breakfast nothing really stood out, I would not stay again.

This one was the exception! Right on the beach with amazing ocean front room. We could see the ocean from our bed. Very private, the balconies were shielded from the neighbors and even the pools below could only see us if we were out on the balcony. The views were quite stunning! In addition, the pools were nice plus you have multiple pools to choose from. In the evening, the 2nd floor patio with fire pit was great to hang out and relax. Parking is directly across the street in the parking garage. Very quick and easy to get to. Starbucks across the street as well. Highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again!

Check in was a breeze. Staff was super friendly. This hotel is located in a great spot...within walking distance to lots of eateries and direct access to the beach. All of the rooms have ocean views. Initially I thought the bed position was weird but I quickly appreciated waking up to views of the beach and ocean. Everything was clean and well appointed in our king room. My only complaint is that the towels were pretty bad and extremely thin, more so than any other hotel I've visited. We went to the bar on the second floor to people watch. It's a cute spot and has access to outdoor seating with a view and fire pits. Our drinks were just "ok"...I've never had ice in a French 75 and my husband's old fashioned was made with crushed ice and not a ball or large cube which was odd. There is ample parking in the deck across the street. Overall, a nice stay!

This resort is described as a…read morepremier (3-star) oceanfront timeshare resort featuring 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom suites in four towers with full kitchens, lots of pantry space, balconies, and within-unit washers and dryers. Resort amenities are abundant and include direct beach access, indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, (small) lazy rivers, a fitness center, an arcade, and a fire pit. We made a relatively late reservation here for five nights when we learned that international guests would be visiting. There would be seven guests (all adults) for two nights, and only four of us for the other three nights. We used extra timeshare points (making it more expensive) in order to get a unit on an upper floor, hoping that the upper floor would give us the best ocean view. Unit. (3/5). Our unit in Tower 2 was spacious (especially when there were only 4 of us), and had everything that we needed and was clean. We especially appreciated the fully-stocked full kitchen with generous pantry space, having a washer and dryer in the unit, and the jacuzzi in the main bedroom (which we under-utilized!). The beds were comfortable, and had high quality linens. However, we were somewhat disappointed with the unit as our ocean view was limited (although you could see the ocean, beach, and one of the pools from our balcony). And, as the resort was built in 2002, and last renovated in 2011, it's now beginning to show its age -- with sofas and chairs that were no longer firm, some chips on furniture, and the musty smell that comes with high humidity. Amenities and Activities. (3.5/4). Tower 2 was convenient, and had many amenities that we utilized. It was home to the Lobby and Registration, had direct beach access, a lazy river, access to indoor and outdoor pools, game room/arcade, activities center, gift shop, and fire pit. As with our room, some of the amenities need upgrades. For instance, the hot tub was lukewarm at best, and the markings on the shuffleboard had eroded off. The resort also had a full calendar of "Resort Experiences", which included arts and crafts, shows, fitness classes, and more. HOWEVER, we were three days in before we even learned that there were resort activities, as we weren't given a schedule at check-in. For instance, we would've gone to the Sunday evening "Karaoke Welcome Party" at the fire pit, but we weren't aware. We DID enjoy the "Hula Fire Show" a few nights later. A few other random points. (1) Parking could be challenging if it's important to you to have parking close to your unit. If not, there's plentiful parking (and a free shuttle, which we didn't utilize) behind Tower 4. We were able to get parking in Tower 2 most evenings, except one evening when we got back late. (2) we were surprised that the concierge did have discount tickets to the shows in Myrtle Beach that we wanted to attend. (3) we would stay here again, but probably wouldn't pay extra again for a higher floor.

The property is located on the beach but surrounded by plenty of restaurants and just a minute drive away from the shopping outlets. Check-in was a breeze and of course, you have to encounter the dreaded timeshare "owner update" speech when picking up your parking pass, but I declined despite the push of 15,000 points or dinner certificates as well all know it's never just a 60-minute update... However, I politely declined again as I travel for work quite a bit and accrue my share of hotel points and airline miles... Anywho, I reserved a 1 bedroom deluxe through the timeshare site and I ended up in the South Tower, 14th floor, and in a nicely sized oceanview room. Loved the hardwood floors, modern decor, full kitchen w/coffee maker, blender, and dining/cookware, washer/dryer, nice comfy king bed and the roomy stand-alone shower. The indoor and outdoor pools were nice along with the easy beach access. The weather was very nice and going this time of year was great as it wasn't too crowded due summer break not starting yet, so it was very peaceful and relaxing. I'm sure they called my room several times to get me attend the timeshare owner update, but I just disconnected the phone line from both phones to have a nice and peaceful stay. Check-out was just as easy and they printed me an invoice to show no charges (my first time ever receiving one as an owner ever), but no big deal... Overall, I had a great stay here and look forward to booking another stay here soon.

They offered to take up the conversation when we got home. So, I set it up with Jake provided he'd send me three specific pieces of info. He agreed.
