The pool area in the morn

They need to clean up this place! Checked in at front desk and the person behind counter was wrinkled. There was a dead cockroach on the floor as well. The room was clean but the tub badly stained, made it look dirty. The gym area was in total disarray both at check in and the next morn. The pool area had a bag of beer and used towels all over, dirty tables and over flowing trash in the morn. The bathroom near the pool was filthy. Very disappointed!

Wow! What Comfort! Pulled in b/c traffic was absolutely sick, and ended up in Heaven! The Receptionist was welcoming and helpful considering I had no prior reservation. She worked with me trying to find a discount for me since I didn't have my AAA membership number with me, it was gratefully appreciated. The Room was pleasantly decorated. Nice calming, warming colors. Sound Proof. Darkness shades. Photo's instead of corporate art. Perfectly Clean!! I felt so Comfortable here, slept like on a Cloud!! I want to sneak off with one of their pillows! My guy who never sleeps more than 4 hours at a time, actually managed to put in 8hrs and never wants to leave! The Free Breakfast buffet was delicious! Scrambled eggs (designed to fit on your bagel or roll!) and perfectly crisp bacon! Toasted Bagels available. Peanut butter, Cream Cheese, Jelly and Honey! Yogurt and Fresh Fruit too! And Very Good Coffee! Nice Teas available too. I ate a lot and I hardly ever eat breakfast! I should mention the price- especially since I stayed the night before in a Very Disappointing Red Roof in Santee the night before for the same price! We had a King-sized bed for less than $100, which was Wonderful, as I said before compared to the dump we got got stuck with the night before. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Beds a little too soft and pillows to squishy for my taste. Otherwise really excellent.

I checked out the first…read moreroom assigned but the bed looked like someone had been lying on it so I asked for another room. The next room was great! Clean and super comfy bed. The only thing was the door was tough to pull open and close. Didn't do breakfast or partake in any of the other amenities (the gym has the bare minimum or even less than that) but the indoor pool and patio looked nice. Good location but not directly off of the highway. I would stay here again as there's a Planet Fitness in the shopping center right next door.

The Most Unacceptable Hotel Experience I've Ever Had…read more My stay at Hyatt Place Fredericksburg at Mary Washington was the most unacceptable hotel experience I've ever had. During the night, a pair of women's panties fell out of the bedsheets onto the floor. There is no misunderstanding or excuse for that. It means the bed linens were not properly stripped or changed after the previous guest. I definitively slept in a bed that someone else had already slept in before me. I had been sleeping naked in those sheets under the assumption I was in a clean, properly prepared room. Instead, I was put into used bedding that had clearly not been serviced to even the most basic housekeeping standards. That creates serious sanitation concerns. No guest should ever have to worry about exposure to used sheets, leftover personal items, bodily residue, bacteria, skin contaminants, or any other hygiene risks because a hotel failed to do the bare minimum. What made this even worse was management's response. Rather than Joshua, the manager, taking ownership of the situation, apologizing, and making it right, the hotel chose to cancel my stay and ban me from the property. Instead of correcting a legitimate cleanliness failure, they attempted to silence the guest who reported it. Think about that: a customer reports sleeping in dirty sheets with another guest's underwear still in the bed, and management's solution is to remove the customer rather than address the problem. That tells you everything you need to know about accountability at this property. I expected Hyatt standards. What I received was a deeply unsanitary room and a management team more concerned with avoiding responsibility than doing the right thing. Avoid this location if cleanliness, professionalism, and guest respect matter to you.

The hotel is located in a compound with both the Garden Inn and a Hampton Inn. (When traveling…read moredomestically we usually try for Hilton properties.) We booked the Garden Inn because it came in $50 cheaper. For one night it was okay. Not the lap of luxury, but okay. As others reported, it's a little shabby but clean. The air conditioner was somewhat loud, but on the bright side it muffled noise from the highway. You get a $10 credit per person for breakfast if you're a rewards member. In other Garden Inns the credit covers a limited buffet (bagels, oatmeal, fruit -- things like that.). The buffet here is $20. Nope! Doing a side-by-side comparison I'd choose the Hampton Inn. But $50 is $50 and if I save more than a couple of dollars I'd stay here again.

Confusion at check-in, hydration at checkout…read more We checked into the Hilton Garden Inn expecting a reliable, stress-free stay, especially given our Hilton status ...but instead spent the trip untangling mistakes that never should've happened. Our reservation was messed up from the start, the front desk couldn't get the details straight, and we were even charged incidentals twice, which meant more calls and post follow-up than any hotel stay should require. Because of the reservation errors, we also didn't receive the complimentary breakfast that was included in our booking ....disappointing, and frankly, not what we expect from Hilton... status or not. On the plus side? They made absolutely sure we were hydrated. We were offered bottled water. Repeatedly. Constantly. Relentlessly. Maybe we looked stressed... or maybe just very, very thirsty The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, but the operational hiccups overshadowed everything else. Hilton can...and should do better, especially for loyal guests. Bottom line: friendly staff, but billing errors and reservation confusion made this stay more work than rest. Double-check your folio... and don't count on breakfast. The water, though? They've got endless supply.

She asked if I wanted two queens or a king, but really there was no choice because she said the room with the king bed had such a big couch it took up too much space. She also said they didn't have a kitchenette only a microwave. "We're not long term." I know hotels that are not "long term" with a kitchenette, and her comment was unnecessary because I was not looking for a place to live, just to stay the night and eat cooked food in room. I shouldn't have paid, but I was traveling and not sure any other hotel had a room. But when I tried to park, all the accessible parking was taken except one that was too small for my van. A car was in the space I needed. But I looked around and saw Marriott, Homeplace Suites. I left and checked in because the girl at the desk was so welcoming. She said right away, with a smile, "We can accommodate your needs," I went back to this hotel-- the Hilton's Hampton Inn, gave the keys back and told the lady to cancelcthe reservation because I checked in the Marriott, since Hilton couldn't accommodate my needs . "But I checked you in," she said. Then she said alright "I will check you out." She claimed she said the room was ADA. But I know what she said--that it wasn't and the ADA was taken. I also changed because the Marriott was so much more warm and welcoming. None of this implying I am seeking a home and not lodging, most likely because of certain prejudices. I wasted my money.

We also appreciated the coffee, tea, juice station available 24 hrs in lobby. And all of this at a very reasonable price! The rooms are nicely decorated with comfortable beds and pillows. Very clean too. There's also a beautiful pool surrounded by a lovely garden. It's two levels with a large parking lot. Just know there isn't an elevator but the stairs aren't too steep. Even though it's on a busy road, it's very quiet. Plank Road has so many restaurants, shops, malls, gas stations, care clinics...it's in a great location. It gets the job done for being a hotel and that's about all I can give it. Beware the parking experience is a little strange as it doesn't have a visitor lot and has to be valet so if you have a car be warned. The rooms are nothing fantastic, they feel very early 2000s which isn't bad but isn't great either. I feel the bathroom could use a remodel because the sink drains were clogged, and the bathroom felt very outdated. The room was spacious though with two queen beds, a chair and very cold A/C. It also had a nice tv in the room too. Beds also felt very comfortable which is nice for a hotel. I definitely would consider this hotel again now that my expectations are a little lower on what to expect. The hotel bar was always dead without anyone around, but the lobby in it of itself was very spacious and accommodating. I also really enjoyed how many things that were walkable around downtown Fredericksburg from the hotel. A ton of breweries, the river front, and restaurants were all within a mile to walk which made it a breeze. It's a very small town with not a lot going on during the week but it did the job.
