I have been a sleep number customer for over 30 years. The sleep systems are very high tech but when backed by good service are worth every penny. My store manager here by The Villages is Rodrigo. He senses my concern and offered to come over my house to check things out after a full Sunday shift. I didn't used to get this level of service from the main store at Bloomingdales NYC. I have owned sleep number beds for decades so I bought one a year ago when I moved to FL. When cleaning beneath it, I noticed 2 nuts on the floor and then another 2 a month later. I called the support line and was told Sleep Number does not support the frame - only the mattress and I'd have to call that factory. I got the huge run-around from them, crawling around underneath looking for serial number (and they are NUMEROUS so difficult to find the right one). It was obvious that the hardware on the fame was loose and the frame was skewed. The "support team" asked for a picture which I sent. I heard nothing back, ever. Last month I found another nut on the floor so I went to the Lady Lake store and spoke with the manager. The next day I received a call from corporate they would be out the following day to replace my frame. The installation team said I didn't need a new frame but the original installation was very, very poorly done. "You were right," he kept repeating. I've had no issues since and even my sheets fit better now. KUDOS to this local store - Thank you! 5 stars for the store and reluctant 4 for corporate for taking so long to address my problem. read more

Buyet beware!!! OurI8 mattress started losing air less than a year after purchase. I called their support line and was told by an automated message that I had to first lift the mattress, disconnect it from the pump, and plug the air line to determine the source of the leak. Mind you, the mattress is still under warranty. Since I have back issues, this is not an option. After finally talking to a live person i agreed to pay them 190.00 to send a tech to do this. After determining it was one of the air chambers i called and they sent a replacenent. I recalled to set up an appoint to install the new chamber and was told it would be another 190.00 to have someone come back to replace their defective chamber. NEVER BUY THEIR MATTRESSES IF YOU HAVE BACK PROBLEMS!!!!!!!! read more

Beware the Sleep Number Warranty. It's not what it is advertised to be. 15 years yes, BUT you share in the cost of ANYTHING that goes wrong after year 1, or is discovered later, including manufacturer defects. And your share from year 2 on keeps going up, and is significant!! What crap!! My mattress developed a sag in the middle (turns out this is quite common in their mattresses, BTW) after 1year and 3 months. Whodathunk? Well, get ready - I'm now paying 35% of the cost because I'm in year 2. Again, buyer beware!! read more

Even though I have always been satisfied with our mattresses bought with Mattress Firm, my wife and I decided to check out this Sleep Number Store. I allowed her to peruse the mattresses and she settled on a particular one. At first the salesman, James, seemed knowledgeable and even inferred he use to work at an Amish Furniture store, which is were we ordered our new bedroom set. At first he tried to get us to buy one of their frames while we waited for our Amish set to arrive in about 9 months, but I have no interest in purchasing things that will be unused later. What further confused me is if he knew Amish furniture, as he said, why would he think cutting into the plywood under the mattress or sideboard on a $5k bed would be acceptable just to buy their mattress. It's obvious their frames accommodate the inflator and cooling system due to the gaps in between the mattress and side board and under the bed which had no drawers, but the way our bed was ordered, there was no room under the bed for either device. After a while we just left because he seemed more interested in selling something than listening, which was demonstrated when he showed a rendering of my Amish bed that was nothing like ours after describing it multiple times. It of course didn't help that it would take 2-3 weeks to get the mattress in (translation at least a month) and their warranties did not reflect the quality they claimed. A one year warranty on a $1k cooling system? We went right down the street and Roy at Mattress Firm got our new mattress in three days. I do not recommend this company. read more

Bought a sleep number bed in June. Nice bed but a little pricey. It took 3 visits by their techs to get it set up correctly. Disappointing! Customer service didn't work at compensation for my troubles or the 6 weeks to get it right. Received 2 emails and filled out their survey. Both Sleep Number declined to used as it didn't meet their criteria. Seems like they don't want anything negative. read more

This sleep number store was a breath of fresh air during a stressful period. It's never easy to pick out a mattress, even when you know the product is particularly good. Kathy spent as much time as necessary to get this elderly couple the very best possible mattress for both of them. I can't recommend her and the store highly enough! read more
