We came in one day because we were shopping for outdoor furniture but knew how expensive Amish furniture is! The next day we came in to look again to find out the showroom furniture went on sale. This was not mentioned the day before and if I owned the business, I would have given my customers every opportunity to save! We bought the firepit and four chairs, at full price, which would have to be made at the factory. When we went to finalize the deal and pay for the furniture, the salesman states, I am going to have to take delivery of the firepit, pay a $99 delivery fee and then pay another $99 delivery fee for the chairs. I asked him why since I was buying everything at once! I also told him I would appreciate it if he considered delivering the chairs with no delivery fee since I purchased everything at the same time. That is the first time he stated we can discuss it when the time comes! I asked the salesman if they were going to take the firepit off the showroom floor, clean it up and finish assembly of it in prep for delivery. He stated absolutely it will come off the showroom floor and would be ready for delivery. Four days later I referred friends of mine and they told me the firepit was still on the showroom floor. The personnel never moved the firepit and prepared it for delivery. The delivery drivers took it off the truck exactly as it was in the showroom. They had to assemble the wiring, hoses, and the ignitor switch assembly. They could not get the ignitor switch to work so they finished assembly and stated they would need to come back and install a new switch. The next morning, I looked at what they had done and found out they did not assemble the equipment properly. So, I spent an hour disassembling the switch, hose and wiring and found that the plastic retaining nut was on back of the threaded post and not on the front to secure the faceplate and button. The wiring was also tangled badly. After I fixed their delivery driver's mistakes, I called and told him I repaired it and there was no need to make another trip out to my home. So, I again asked the salesman if he would waive the second delivery fee since I saved him another trip. That is the second time he stated we can discuss it when the time comes! I called to check on the status of the chairs and the salesman stated he thought they may be in soon but has no way to know for sure? I again asked him if he was going to deliver at no charge and this is the third time he stated we can discuss it when the time comes! Three days later he called and told me our chairs were in, and they would NOT deliver! He then asked me if I wanted them delivered. I stated, NO! I had to make four trips! The original salesman avoided me and never offered to help! Another person helped! I wanted to send an invoice to The Amish Furniture Store for my time to repair what their subcontractors could not do? Second, I wanted to know why I was charged a delivery charge their website stated free instore pickup and local delivery if you live within 30 minutes of the store! We live 13 minutes away! Delivery Options Free in-store pickup. Local Delivery: If you live within 30 minutes of our three locations, our delivery professionals will deliver your order to your home. Our white-glove delivery service is a two-person delivery service that includes any setup or assembly on-site. Ironically, two to three weeks after I purchased $4600.00 worth of furniture, I received a card in the mail, from the store, offering free delivery on orders up to $1000. To me that was insulting, especially since it excluded the chairs I just bought and did not receive until 2 months later! Cory (Manager) did call me on 10/30/24 and gave me all kinds of excuses and stated he could never refund delivery fees or pay me for my time. He also told me I did not give him a chance to resolve the incorrect and subpar installation of the firepit. He also stated, although the website is misleading, he was trying to get it fixed by having the owner reword it. He further stated they make no money or little on outdoor furniture. He said his salesman was wrong regarding a sale on their showroom furniture. I know this is incorrect because the firepits, and other items in the showroom, had markdown signs on them! He also stated the card they sent out was simply a mass mailing. His answer was to offer a $150 discount on furniture that is already overpriced and drive thirty-five miles to their Wildwood store. Cannot imagine the delivery charge out of their 30-minute time limit.

She then came to my home promptly to measure for the shades. The day my shades arrived at her business she called to let me know and also notified her installer, Nate they were ready to be installed. He came the following day and put them all up perfectly. He explained to me how they work and answered any questions I had. All of the Hunter Douglas products have a lifetime warranty which is fantastic if there are any problems in the future with mechanical parts or blinds or shades themselves. Opened in 2008, 20,000 square feet of space with 100 individual vendors...it is truly a comprehensive experience. This mall and others like it probably are better suited to true history buffs. I like antiques that are still functional and don't have that "old" smell. It's not as big as Lowe's and much cleaner and nicer. The people that work there are friendly and will take the time to stop and help you. When they see you looking around in each aisle, they would ask you if they can help you, unlike most larger hardware stores where you would walk pass a worker and they will not even look up. There is one person that works there really stood out for us. Her name is Carol, and she is a cashier. Carol's smile and her friendly disposition really stood out to us and now every time she sees us, she always greets us always says, "hi guys!". I always look forward to seeing her when we go into the store. She always asks how our day is going and how we are. When they are not busy, we will stand and chat with her for a bit but not long. We do not want to get her in trouble. They also have a bucket of bags of popcorn near her cash register so of course I always grab one when we are checking out. Oh, they also have cats in there for adoption and I think sometimes they have chicks too. Sparr is a little jewel tucked away in a small plaza behind McDonalds and Chipotle in the city of Wildwood. If you've never been to Sparr Building and Farm. Go in one time and check it out.

But while they were setting up the furniture, I began to notice chips, cracks, dings, missing paint, misaligned doors, etc., and when I voiced these concerns I was told by both delivery men to call and Badcock would make everything right. My mistake was believing them. Because we called and were told that because we signed the itemized list, that meant to THEM that we were satisfied with the completed shipment and that's NOT WHAT WE WERE TOLD. The console has a "charging station" that does NOT charge anything. We contacted them and submitted photos of the damages, but they refuse to respond. BUYER BEWARE!
