We had very specific requirements as to what we wanted; his biggest concern was finding firm, well-built sofa's, and mine was finding the right fabric and color for our living room. What made the process so agonizing is every store we went in, we were "jumped on" before the front door even closed behind us. I definitely do not mind being greeted or asked if I can be helped but these furniture salesmen were relentless. Even after saying we know what we want and if we need help we will ask, we are followed around the store like a couple of criminals. Every time we stopped to look at a sofa, the salesman would swoop in and bombard us with information we didn't want or need. It's very annoying and it makes the entire looking-around process impossible. Some people may not be put off by this type of salesmanship but I certainly am. We honestly couldn't take more than 10 minutes of being stalked like animals at each of these stores. We were in Marietta one day for lunch and I brought up the idea of furniture shopping while we were in town. We decided to give Wieser & Cawley a try because we had never been there before. We didn't know what to expect. After walking through the front door, we immediately noticed a difference. Not only was the showroom beautiful, but the staff didn't hound us. They didn't ignore us either. We were greeted with smiles, welcoming hello's, and we were told to have a look around and not be afraid to ask questions. Finally! We were finally able to take our time, look around, try out sofa's, and discuss our thoughts and opinions privately between ourselves. After strolling through the store for an hour narrowing down our choices we decided to ask for assisstance. The associate that helped us was wonderful. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and very friendly. She helped us further narrow our choices by showing us available finishes and fabrics for those specific sofas we liked. After we finally decided on one, she told us that that particular sofa was available in a variety of styles. It was a custom sofa where we could choose the type of arms, seat cushions, back cushions, legs, fabric for the sofa, two fabrics for pillows, and wood finish for the legs. She then informed us that if we were to go on the manufacturer's website we could build a virtual representation of our exact choices so we could see exactly what our sofa and pillows would look like. For another hour she helped us choose some fabrics and showed us different leg styles. Since there were hundreds of fabrics to choose from, we decided to go home and try out the website. The associate wrote down the name and code number for every fabric we were looking at for the sofa fabric and pillow fabrics so that we could specifically see how those fabrics would look. Anyways, we went back to Wieser & Cawley the next day and ordered our sofas. The associate told us that 8-10 weeks was the norm for delivery but receiving them sooner or even later was a possibility. We received our sofas 5 weeks later and they are BEAUTIFUL! Thank You Wieser & Cawley. I have recommened your services to family and friends.

Recently I have gotten into milling around stores like this. Not sure what has come over me but I…read morekind of like it. I like looking through items and thinking what if I had this. I have also come to the realization that you don't always need to buy new when you are looking for unique. I really enjoyed this place because they have something for just about everybody in here. What one person may find tacky another will enjoy immensely. The downstairs is setup nicely. You can easily maneuver through the area and see everything they have on display. Don't think that this is all that they have in store, venture upstairs. Upstairs takes a little more time to go through. But it is still a great area to go through. I was drawn to this map of the city, of course I was too late as it was sold. Would make a great wall piece. There were also an abundance of globes that were dated, but kind of awesome. I also eyed in on a coat rack, but had to talk myself out of it as I really didn't need it. Don't mind the noise when you are upstairs as this sits underneath Arsenal Bowling. At least don't think that there was another floor to this and that they were moving furniture around, as my friend did. Really amusing and confusing to the employee when we were in here.

I used to like this business. I'm a local and used to like to browse and shop. My teenage son was…read morevisiting his grandma and she was shopping. She asked him to put her purchases on the counter while she looked at something else. My son was looking at the candy. The owner (manager) told him to stop touching things and proceeded to tell my mother, who asked what the fuss was, that she was banning my son from the store. My mother stated that this was her grandson and that she had shopped there for years. The owner (manager) insinuated or assumed (I'm not sure which) that she and my son were from the nearby trailor court and implied that they were trash. She then told my mother that she could put back her purchases. Mother told her where exactly she lived. She got no apology from the owner (manager); she got grudgingly passed off to the cashier. The staff is usually passingly friendly, even when busy. The owner should know one of the basic rules of business: treat all your customers equally and assume nothing about them until you know them. She should also know that the customer is always right. I am, to put it politely, strongly discouraged from returning to this establishment.
