I try to shop local, so I bought two sleepers from this location. I'm an easy shopper. I walked in, bought two sofas for delivery, and walked out in under 30 minutes. Here is what went wrong. First, they did not keep me updated on delivery date/time. Second, my molding was ruined during delivery. Third, during delivery, I asked the guys if they could also remove my coffee table and rug, which they did no problem. ... I then got a call from the store "just to let me know" that I caused a huge inconvenience by asking them to take the rug and coffee table. I was scolded. I was so taken aback that I didn't even respond. Ruined my day. I would not recommend this store. Couches are great. read more

Sleepers In Seattle FFF Rating with Better Business Bureau I needed to purchase a new sofa bed for my RV, and so I contacted Sleepers in Seattle (SLEEPERS) because I had previously purchased a Stanton 200 Sofa Bed from them back in 2017. It was a wonderful sofa bed. I was also aware that back then, SLEEPERS had been cited by several newspaper and magazine articles as being an outstanding customer service retailer. I looked at several swatch samples, reviewed price information, and made a phone call to SLEEPERS to begin the purchase process. First off, the website had 2 different prices which were off by about $200 if I remember correctly. Called and talked to a woman who said they were having updates to their website, but that she could honor the lower price. She sent me an online signature form with details, and I signed it without incident. I said to her that I did not need the standard mattress that came with the purchase, and so that specific information was referenced on the form that I signed. She charged me $1959 using my credit card. At the time of my purchase, their website indicated that 6-10 weeks would be needed for the sofa bed to reach me. Because I had done business with them previously and was then pleased with how things went, I waited 6 weeks to contact them in order to request an update as to how much longer I would need to wait before my sofa bed would at least begin the shipment process. I called and spoke with a female who seemed to enjoy talking about how computer savvy she was, and as she was apparently looking into their computer system to check on the status of my order. Her verbage was along the lines of: "Umm, gee, hmm, well, I don't know, umm, let me get back to you on this". She told me I would get an update in a day or two. Three days go by, and I did not get a call back, so I call again. This time, I get some smart ass office clerk who was arrogant, evasive, and clearly not helpful or polite. He hung up on me. The female called me back, we talked for about 10 minutes, and she told me that the manager had called to ask the manufacturer to speed up the process. She said things like, "they needed to order new fabric", "your sofa bed is being processed", "we'll email you and let you know when it is ready", etc. Three or four more days go by, and I get an email from the female stating that the sofa bed should be finished within 10 days. But then it has to be inspected, and that can take another 10 days. Two weeks go by, and nothing, so I send an email, and her response states that the sofa bed was finished, but they didn't know when it would be released. Becoming increasingly disappointed and concerned, I sent an email telling her that 10 weeks had gone by and also giving her another week to start the shipping process; otherwise, I would dispute the charge with my credit card company. The female replies that their website "CLEARLY" indicated that it could take 10 to 14 weeks for fulfillment. Subsequently, I performed an historic search of their website. The search clearly showed that they had changed the 6-10 weeks to 10-14 weeks AFTER I placed the order. So she lied, as she had obviously lied on a few other occasions. However, the ultimate consumer insult occurred a few days later when the female sent me an email saying that they were cancelling my order. So after about 11 weeks of waiting, calling, emailing and being lied to in the face, SLEEPERS IN SEATTLE RUINED THINGS FOR MY WIFE AND ME. Their behavior has obviously degraded significantly because of a lack of competence and customer caring that apparently been supported by owner and management. Stay away from these people. Go elsewhere. They are incompetent, arrogant, lying, deceitful individuals who have no business being in the retail sales industry. They have an F Rating with the Better Business Bureau, and my experience simply adds to the abysmal failure of these people to treat people with respect. read more

I bought a sleeper loveseat in 2017. The salesperson swore up and down that the extended warranty covers pet damage, so I bought it. The only reason I bought it was because of pet damage coverage, seemed too good to pass up. Should have known... Now, years later I called in the warranty to get part of it reupholstered and was declined for coverage by Guardian. I phoned the store about it and they refuse to do anything to help me. At a minimum I wanted a refund for the worthless warranty coverage, a gesture to make good on the salespersons obvious lies. The manager wouldn't even get in touch with me. I went into the store as my first stop to purchase a sleeper sofa and was not hopeful. I was pleasantly surprised by the many choices available and chose one and when I asked if it could be delivered that day Brett said their truck was in Olympia and he wasn't sure it would be back but he consulted the owner, and he confirmed yes it could be delivered. I was told anywhere from 2:00 PM or later. I received a call at 2:10 PM the drivers were on their way. I looked at the door to my flat and told the driver "Oh no, I don't think it will fit". He looked at it and said "Oh we can do it I think." After much maneuvering and switching of positions they amazingly got it in my flat, undamaged. Super crappy customer service. Here's my story. The couch I ordered is a really nice couch. However, it came damaged in the back. I pointed it out to the delivery team, took pictures, noted it on the receipt, etc. I called the company the next day to let them know. This was back in December of 2020. It is now July and I still do not have a resolution from this company. Despite, 12 emails and many phone calls, I keep getting the run around. If you spend $3000 on a sofabed, I expect some service. The very first phone call was great. I spoke to Beatrice who assured me she would take care of either getting me a discount or seeing if someone could come out to fix the couch. Knee deep during Covid times, I did not want anyone in my home. I said I would like the discount. 7 months later, I am still waiting for this said discount. Beatrice, Colleen, Britany, customer service. It doesn't matter who you talk to, they are unable to help. No one responds to my emails and now they are not even returning my phone calls. Terrible customer service which is really sad, given that the couch itself it quite nice and comfortable. My husband and I decided it was finally time to upgrade our family room sectional and order something high end. I wanted a sleeper element too, as we end up hosting a lot of out of town family and it's nice to have another option. (And maybe the Airbnb dollars started cropping up in my mind as well...) I researched items on West Elm, Crate & Barrel, Room & Board, Pottery Barn, and decided that for the price we probably weren't going to get the long term quality we wanted. Plus - few of their sectionals are sleepers. So I started Googling and found this place. We went in store on a Saturday morning and sat down and tried out a lot of sofas and sectionals. The shape of the sectional was more important than the sleeper options. A salesperson helped us by steering us toward pieces that met our requirements: modern, no puffy arms, deeper seats (I like to sit cross legged on the couch and some are too shallow for me to do that), a chaise instead of an L shaped sofa, and a high back (my husband is tall and we had gotten used to the high back of our current sectional). The store is full of so many flexible options - the selection is unlike anything I've ever seen before, as far as sleepers go. I can see why they get business from around the country! We were so lucky to be nearby and able to go in and try things out in person. We finally found a Luonto Copenhagen sleeper couch that met our requirements! And we were able to order it in a chaise sectional with optional arm widths, color, and length we wanted. The sales person brought me all the dimensions and specs and his phone number on a piece of paper...and seemed shocked when I said, "Oh, we're buying this today." (I guess most people shop around more than we do! Once we find something we like, we just go with it.) I put the whole damn thing on my credit card and we were told it would be about 8-12 weeks tops for the couch to be built in Finland and shipped over to the US, and delivered locally. Note: We had to pay in full at time of purchase because it was being custom made for us. I do not know what their policy is with other services. That was in early February, and our couch was just delivered last week, in late May, so it was more like 16 weeks. This is my only complaint about Sleepers in Seattle and I have told them: Adjust your sales pitch around Luonto and make it clear to your customers that it may be more like 12-16 weeks. I was emailing Sleepers regularly for updates and was assured that it was in production...then on a boat from Finland...then in the United States. Finally I was told it was in a warehouse in Lakewood, WA and that they could deliver it in about a week. Lakewood is about an hour from my house, so I found this timeline unacceptable. That's when I lost my patience and told them that it absolutely had to be in my home before the Memorial Day weekend - and lo and behold they found a delivery time for me the next day. They called me with about an hour warning, which worked for me because I don't work far from home and was able to drive back to meet them. They also showed up at the BEGINNING of the delivery window, which meant I didn't have to stay home all afternoon waiting for them. The delivery guys were AMAZING! Our family room is on the second floor, and the existing sectional had been hauled in through a window because the layout of our stairwell doesn't allow for large furniture. The team hoisted it up (just two guys!) while my husband sort of spotted and helped as needed. They got it up into the family room with no damage or issues. They then helped us get our old sectional down through the window (we were giving it to some friends so we really appreciated not having to haul it down there ourselves). The Luonto Copenhagen sectional is beautiful, comfortable, and really easy to transition from sectional to queen sized sleeper! My son used it the next night for a sleepover. We also love that we can fold it down and all lay on it (like a giant chaise!) for movie marathons. It's exactly what I was hoping for... (and now my house sleeps 8 on Airbnb instead of 6!) On April 4th I ordered a sofa bed from Sleepers in Seattle and paid for "white glove" delivery. I noticed a few weeks later it still listed as payment processing, pending production and delivery so I checked I was told all was good and that they would email a tracking number and call when it is on the way. Well I was quite surprise on May 7th when there was a buzz on my apartment gate with a delivery for me. I had no prior warning the sofa bed had shipped much less was at my front door. The guys dropped it off inside my apartment where they had to push it between my existing bed and a shelf because I had figured I would be called before it was here and be able to arrange to have my old bed hauled away before arrival. After the delivery guys leave I notice the right arm is extremely loose wobbling and makes a creaking crack sound from being broken inside and fabric on the back had come away exposing the tacking, and the right front foot marred. I email right away sending pics and video. Long story short Beatrice in CS will go days without responding to my emails, they refuse to replace it and insist Intake multiple days off costing me more than the sofa bed so they can send repair filks out, of which the first one left it looking pretty bad because that all that could be done, you can clearly see that the upholstery now bulges and one side of the bed is an inch higher. It is now well over a month later and my emails go unanswered 5 days at a time, they want to send more repair people instead of replacing the defective merchandise. In this time they could have has a new unbroken (like I paid for) sofa bed here in its place. Instead they ignore me and get fussy when they do respond. Completely unhelpful. So if you want to spend $1600 on broken furniture then take multiple days off so they can "try and fix" it by making it look rotten this is the store for you... if NOT I would avoid this place COMPLETELY! read more

I bought this sofa online through Houzz. The color represented online does not represent the color of the sofa I received - my sofa is about 3 shades lighter than the representation and more cool or gray in color. I bought the sofa for the gold color as represented online. While I expect colors can be slightly off when buying online, not drastically different. The Savvy Home customer service manager refused to acknowledge my dissatisfaction and work with me on the return, despite her recognition that the color of the sofa looks very different in different lighting. After almost two weeks of back and forth emails, she offered only $100 discount on a $400 return shipping quote and a 25% restocking fee (yet claimed she wanted to come to a "resolution"). This adds up to $600 that I would lose, half of the cost of the sofa. Savvy Home did not seem to care whether I was happy or not, and decided it was OK to lose my business and potentially other's business for the sake of a few hundred dollars. They could have offered me at least to waive the 25% restocking fee, but absolutely refused to compromise. I made a mistake buying this sofa online, but I've never experienced being dismissed as a customer so severely that I'm now stuck with a product I don't like, isn't the right color and I have to absorb all of the costs. It seemed serving their own self interest was the highest priority in this transaction, completely ignoring my input as the customer. In the photo (the manager sent to me) is her swatch (the swatch mailed to me looks completely different), compared to her monitor's online photo compared to the photo taken by me of the sofa I received. Back on end of July 2019 we went to Sleepers in Seattle and ordered a White Luonto Sofa Sleeper. They said that the Luonto Sofa was purchased using the In Stock program and would ship from North Carolina and we would get it delivered to us within 2-3 weeks. It was smooth and easy process and we were happy with the couch we selected. The 3 weeks came and past quickly. After several delays with calls and emails trying to figure out where our couch was, we were scheduled to finally have the sofa delivered on Sep 2nd Labor day 5 weeks after the purchase date. When the delivery guys came I saw the sofa and it was in the wrong blue color instead of the white. On the phone speaking with Jake at Sleepers in Seattle, he said that the purchase order was sent to Luonto correctly and that someone at Luonto factory sent the wrong couch mistakenly, putting the blame on the manufacturer. I don't know how true that is but the multiple delays and lack of follow through and wrong delivery didn't provide confidence. They had the audacity to ask if we wanted to just keep the wrong blue couch that was delivered. I was angry at this point suggesting we keep the wrong couch that we paid over $2000 for. Finally, he mentioned that they had another delivery of the same couch we ordered coming in a week or so. We agreed we would wait the last additional week to get the correct couch delivered. The next week came by and no calls from them. I emailed them and they said it would be here on Sep 11, then when we called on 11th, they said it would be the 13th, but got nothing on the 13th. I went to the store to directly speak with someone and they promised delivery of the couch on the week of the 16th. As the week of the 16th came and we finally got a call to get the couch delivered on Sep 19th about 8 weeks after purchase. The couch arrived and was delivered smoothly, the installation guys were nice and the couch itself after 2 months of use has been great. It's unfortunate the experience was so terrible because the couch itself is great, the people at the store were nice, but I certainly can't recommend another customer go through this process. Jake on the Sales team was poor at communicating and following up on his 'promises'. If Sleepers were more up front regarding a delivery dates saying it would be more like 8 weeks to get the couch, instead of lying to their customers and over promising but under delivering that would be a better experience. Unless you are purchasing a sofa directly in store that you see I'm certain you will not get your sofa in the promised 2-3 week range they advertise. I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 mainly because they waived our delivery fee and the couch itself has been comfortable. read more

After the first sofa that we selected and paid for was suddenly unavailable and advertised fabrics were out of stock and a loooooong wait for delivery and then a set of broken legs and another long wait...we have a defective product. "Customer service" is really just a person who deflects all requests for help. If the manufacturer (Stanton in this case) doesn't stand by the product, this company won't either. I was told that they couldn't risk jeopardizing their relationship with Stanton. And they sure won't provide any kind of customer service in terms of helping to solve a genuine problem. I would avoid this store. I bought a sofa and explained that I needed it delivered right away because I had guests coming. The next morning, before they delivered it, they called me to say that they had forgotten to charge me for a $350 upgrade on the mattress. Every one of the brand I bought had the same mattress so there were no 'upgrades.' They just knew that I was up against a deadline and they screwed me out of the charge. This is so slimy. Now it's gotten worse. The owner is claiming to have had a conversation with me. He did not have a conversation with me. He sent me an email with part of the explanation that he gave below. Any family run business can offer credit or some kind of compensation for a mistake. I stand by my opinion that they knew that I was up against a deadline. They deliberately did not tell me the full price, until the very last minute when I had no choice. So the owners' assertion that I had a choice is not true. They waited until I was backed up against the wall. I think they knew that the more expensive sofa was a big stretch for me and I would not have bought it had I known about the additional $350. One of the worst retail experiences I have yet to experience. I purchased an American Leather sleeper sofa in excess of $3,000. I paid an extra $300 for expedited service. They called me 2 weeks after the order to tell me the item was shipped. Somehow the item got lost/stolen before arriving to my house while being shipped by Hercules Freight. I asked for a refund as my item did not arrive on time. They refused a refund and told me that they need the freight company to officially declare the item lost. Weirdly I'm at a place in my life where I'm buying new furniture, rather than trolling craigslist or taking things form the curb. Naturally as soon as I started shopping, I started to get extremely anxious. Luckily my sister turned me onto this place. Their selection is so large I almost started to get anxious again, but I just tried to stick within a budget, and narrow my search that way. I was a little nervous about buying online, so I spent a considerable amount of time doing my research. These guys had the best deal, including delivery, and bunch of fabric choices. I ended up going with a fabric that was on sale, because I liked it and I'm not so incredibly picky that I'm going to spend an extra hundred bucks on the EXACT grey fabric I want. Sleepers in Seattle has done an amazing job of going above and beyond. I spent SO many hours searching around for a convertible sofa only to turn up empty handed. It seems like a lot of furniture stores have the option to order one, but have either no stock or had a small selection of rather boring styles. Just because there's a bed in it doesn't mean I want bulky furniture... After I exhausted all of my local options I began searching online. I've never purchased a piece of furniture from an internet retailer, since I was worried about color and how it would fit into my design style. I started off by calling to ask for suggestions for a low back sofa that would look appealing and still fit, both through my entry way, as well as aesthetically. The sales staff was extraordinarily helpful and pleasant to work with. They answered my litany of questions and were able to make some suggestions. After selecting a sofa I was fond of I placed an order for fabric swatches. They came promptly in the mail and we began the real work of finding the most appealing. A week later we placed the order for a Tommy Full Size sleeper In Blaine Peacock. They informed us that it would take about 2 months for the custom order. I have to say, I was sort of expecting that, I didn't mind as I was getting exactly what I wanted. A few weeks passed and I received a call to schedule the delivery. It was a very easy process! I opted for the Platinum delivery as I needed it carried up a narrow stairway. The delivery team was professional, respectful of my house, and worked with alacrity. After It was unpacked and the packing had been taken away we inspected and signed for our new sofa. The sofa looks simply fantastic. I'm really glad I took the time to find Sleepers in Seattle. I don't know that I would have been able to find a piece that was this unique from many other places. The fabric is a really vibrant and cozy. Its low back tufted cushion back looks modern and opens up the room to more light as it's sat in front of a large window. I've since received many compliments on our Tommy sofa, and have already recommended their store to a few of our friends. I love my new couch and just wanted to send a thank you once again for your awesome service. It's nice to see a company put an emphasis on good customer service. I haven't made my order yet but am writing this based on really awesome customer service, their site, and their products. So I'm super finicky when it comes to furniture but these guys know what they're doing. Plus, even by e-mail they send you gobs of details really quickly. Being a couchsurfer fan I feel the urge to have this option for my friends so was pondering getting a "sleeper" (for non-furniture people such as myself-- they are like couches that are secretly convertible beds. So you have the function of a futon without making your pad look tacky). Most of their stuff are specialty name brands, thus they're meant to last. And, for the price if you think about it and do the math the deal is SO much better than Ikea. My friend recently bought a fake leather Ikea sofa online, had it delivered (ended up outside his porch in the pouring rain), and had to assemble it.. Worst part-- when it was all done it was really small, couldn't be turned into a bed, and costed almost the same price! These guys will deliver the thing free-- another huge highlight. Shopping at Sleepers in Seattle was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. My husband and I were looking for a sleeper sofa for our weekend place that is rented out during the summer, so we were looking for something very sturdy. The fabric I selected was no longer available, so I spoke with David, who helped me pick out something equivalent. The sofa was ready within six weeks and delivery was a breeze - the delivery company worked with our management company to arrange the delivery. Everything started out great. The customer service was excellent and helpful. We purchased our couch in store. It was to take a couple months for delivery which made me nervous. The person who helped us reassured me that if anything was wrong they would fix it. LIES! My couch was delivered with a cut in the leather and NO one will fix it. This place has amazing customer service!!!! I purchased a sleeper about three months ago and while I really loved the styling and the two guests I had said that the bed was the best sleeper they have ever slept on, the cushions were experiencing extreme sagging. I emailed SIS and they got back to me the next day and said that they would immediately ship new foam cushion cores. Great product Great service Very happy ! Ordered a mattress from the Enso sleep collection. The Strata. Couldn't be happier. I have back pains that come and go and this was recommended as a good mattress. Super happy with the service. They said it would arrive in a week and it did just on time so it was easy to make sure someone was home to Receive it. My BF and I move around a lot and it's good to have something that keeps the movement to ourselves but also good for two to move together ;) Will definitely return to these guys for any future furniture needs. stay away!!!!!! do not take a chance and order!!!!! especially if you are out of state!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no refunds even if they deliver a product that is deemed defective by a furniture expert! the replacement you ask? equally poor quality - very different from the merchandise shown at natuzzi locally. they are selling natuzzi rejects i am sure. save your time and money - i will now sue them- although they are out of state, the beauty of the commerce clause lets me sue them in florida and let them spend money defending it. read more

I just bought my first house in West Seattle and wanted to purchase a sofa that was better quality so it would last. I saw Sleepers was close by and decided to stop in and see what they had to offer. Turns out they had a lot. I worked with Jake to determine the perfect style, size, and color for my living room. I actually didn't need a sleeper either and was surprised to find out that was really no trouble. After testing out most of what they had on their showroom, I decided on a Stanton model that was both well priced and had a modern look. The style actually has a chaise feature that can be reversed to either side and has a small profile since I don't have a ton of space. The arms are wide enough that I can use it to rest or put my laptop on. Delivery came after about 5 weeks and was really easy. They were able to deliver a little later in the afternoon so that I didn't have to miss work. Their guys brought the sofa up my steps and put it exactly where I asked. Overall, I couldn't be happier. The purchase and delivery was seamless and their staff is really well informed. If you're looking for a sleeper or sofa, I highly recommend Sleepers In Seattle. read more

Buyer beware! I purchased a couch from this company and it showed up damaged at delivery. I refused delivery and requested a full refund or the shipment of a new couch. The company is trying to force me to pay nearly $700 in roundtrip shipping costs to be deducted from my refund even though they advertise the shipping is fully insured. They refuse to file an insurance claim. This has been ongoing for four months! I will NEVER buy anything from them again. UPDATE: The latest is the COMPANY has decided to cancel my order and only refund me 66% of the purchase cost. They have decided that I should pay for the $700 in roundtrip shipping costs even though they attempted to deliver ME a damaged product. I never even accepted delivery on the item! On to escalating this on my end...more on principal than anything at this point. This company is VERY SHADY. I wouldn't be surprised if they purchase damaged goods from the companies to begin with. I should've done a better job reading reviews before purchasing. read more
