The phone numbers on my receipt and website does not work I had to call the Walnut Creek office just to get the correct number. When I did get through it goes to VM. I'm a 'rent to 'own' CPAP customer, and their customer service is really poor, as Austin C writes in his review of 12/13/2018. You REALLY have to keep an eye on their invoice summaries, as they do make mistakes. You have to do your own math to try and figure out WHEN you have paid enough in rental and now owe nothing more. They will NEVER return your calls, especially the billing dept, and when i finally got a hold of someone, they were pretty brusque and not friendly at all. read more

I bought my APAP machine from Sleep Quest back in 2007. The process was smooth and I get a lot of help. They have a trial program that they would rent you a machine to let you try out before buying. The rental fees goes towards your purchase - if you choose to buy from them. I got set up fairly quickly after a trial. Subsequently they are suppose to follow-up with you regarding supplies as some parts like filters and cushions need to be changed as they wears out. I didn't get anything from them (email or call) for a year. Suddenly in December 2008 I get an email about ongoing care and the components I should replace. I replied the email stating the components I would like to purchase. Nothing from their ongoing care department. I called them in March 2009 and discuss about what I needed and was told that I need a prescription. I furnished my doctor's name and was told they would take care of it. 1.5 weeks past.. no news. I called to follow-up and at the meantime I got another email about the parts that I should replace. When I got them on the phone, they told me that the have called my doctor and the prescription (by fax) did not get to them. After 2 more days finally we sorted out all these and I got my parts yesterday. It's a hassle for me to have to work and try to call them. Seems like their ongoing care department only return phone calls at around 11am on weekdays. Other attempts to call and leave messages yielded no respond. That's why the 3-stars. read more

This was my first experience getting cpap equipment and Ian could not have been more attentive or informative, as well as efficient.

I've been a client of SQ for ten years - and my son has been one for the past 5 years. SQ is great - they have tons of gear (we were there today and they had a new mask, released just three days ago and SQ was the first to have it in stock), allow 30 day returns/exchanges, and will ship out your supplies to you. They email you when you are due for new supplies, and they don't charge for mask fittings. By now I've bought 6 CPAP machines from them, and supplies every three months (and it's seamless - they bill my insurance and then bill me for any leftover charges). I've never had an issue with them, have always been pleased with their support. I count on Sleepquest. read more

I would give 10 stars if I could. This is by far the best DME company that I've used for my supplies. Mindy is so caring, helpful, cheerful, efficient and just outstanding. She never gets impatient with all the questions I throw at her and she is so very happy to help way beyond expectations. I know I'm in good hands with her and she is such a joy to talk to. It's so comforting knowing she has my back and I'm so well taken care of with her. SleepQuest really needs to hold on to her. She is a gem. Cannot recommend. Ironically, I was referred as a Kaiser patient on the basis of their good prices and above-average customer service. Essentially, I found nearly every company that sells CPAP to be within a dollar and change of one another. So, price therefore doesn't factor much on the retail level. What I DO value however is good customer service, which I did not find with this Co. Looking for expedited service, my original point of contact was a phone rep named Melissa. She had a pleasant phone manner. She pledged to phone me upon receipt of my Rx received by the office. This was supposed to take only "minutes." Waited a whole business day, call never came. I left an after hours v.m. requesting call back next day. Next day, waiting for the call, received an email instead (was anticipating a call--as originally pledged--not an email). Called Melissa's line direct...unavail/v.m. Called 800# again. This time received another rep with hints of dismissal and indifference in her voice, who seemed to be subtly edging me to take my business elsewhere. Which I most certainly did. I don't like businesses that act like they're doing YOU a favor. And act as if customers don't have a choice with whom to reward their business. The company also misleadingly lists a satellite office in Alameda (closest location to me), but this office only services 1 particular HMO client (not Kaiser). A cluster from the very beginning. I rarely leave 1 star reviews, but felt this was warranted in hopes of bettering the outfit (constructive feedback). Back to Apria Health and CPAP.com. You lost my business without chance for redemption, but perhaps you can use this feedback to EARN the satisfaction of your next clients and patients? read more

Katie Z. is the reason this place gets 5 stars. When we first starting working together, this was a new life style for me. I didn't know what to expect, what was best for me and Katie took the time to explain things and told me what to expect. She went out of her way to make time for my phone calls, questions, exceptions, uncertainties, and never made me feel like she was too busy. She always returned my calls/emails within a reasonable time...almost too fast...lol, and she was someone I knew I could always count on. I have made changes which required my work on her part, but her main goal was to improve my health and be able to get a good night's sleep. This has been such a huge adjustment, but Katie never left my side throughout and hung in there. She never lost her patience and I am so grateful she was assigned to me. No matter how many questions I had, how much time I needed, I never felt rushed. Her joy, laugh, and smile added a bright light to an otherwise challenging time during this life style change, the pandemic, questionable future and I can't thank her enough. Katie's effervescent personality made a huge difference for me. If not for her beautiful laughter and joy, this experience would have been dismal at best. Be aware, that having Katie at this location changes the culture of this office as it's a quiet, cold, unfeeling atmosphere otherwise. I don't know if it was because of why I had to be there or the environment, but after meeting Katie, my impression changed. If she had to transfer locations, l will follow her as i wouldn't want to work with anyone else. Katie has spoiled me! This new lifestyle would have been more difficult without Katie in my corner, and I'm so glad she has been there for me. Thanks, Katie, for going on this challenging journey with me. It took over a month to get an appointment for the San Carlos Sleep Quest. The person who fitted my head mask was good. However, it was very expensive. It is cheaper and easier to buy it all online if you know your size. There are a number of places that sell CPAP machines and supplies a lot cheaper on line. Sllep Quest convinced me that they offered support services I would need. It ends up the machine itself provides the feed back online. When I had to return to actually get something from the Sleep Quest office it took two trips and a lot of waiting. Other than the initial service of fitting the right mask, they add very little value. I suggest you ask your doctor to fit the head mask then just buy it online. No need for useless middle man that just adds a crazy amount of time and expense. read more

Had to go and get a cpap, Stanford directed me to Sleep quest in San Carlos. I did not have to wait when I arrived for my appointment. Ian was super friendly and professional as he walked me through the process. I was taught all I need to know to use my new machine, order supplies and do the cleaning. If you wish to pay 300% times more for your CPAP supplies, you go here. Otherwise look on the internet for CPAP supplies. I bought a CPAP mask which costs $127.30 on internet. When I went through sleepquest, sleep quest charged $415.00 to my insurance provider, who paid $215.00 and asked me to pay $200 from my deductable. When I asked sleep quest on this, like why they are charging $400 for something which costs $127, the answer I got is "we have agreements between us and insurance companies and therefore it costs". Well, you make agreements and I have to pay as per your agreements !! If sleepquest charges $130 to insurance company, at least my insurance provider will pay 50% of it and I pay 50% from my deductable which could be around $67. Because they blew up the prices, I have to shell $200, "AFTER" insurance payout. I am not stinking rich to do that !! Whoever reads this review, please go to internet and search on internet for your CPAP supplies prices and compare your prices. They cost much much less than what you pay. Compare and then buy directly online if you get for lesser price. I personally went to sleep quest office and returned their stuff and told them that i cannot pay. This is my first ever yelp review. This place is absolutely terrible. I was sent here for my CPAP from Stanford Sleep Clinic. I've called a dozen times during business hours over 2 months and could never get anyone live. I've left 4 messages and no one has called me back. Don't waste your time trying to work with these folks...I can only imagine the service provided once they have your (or your insurance company's) money. I've advised Stanford they should not be sending patients here. read more

This place has about the worst customer service I have experienced. My doctor sent my prescription over to them and then the wait began. I kept following-up to get status on my prescription but getting anyone on the phone was always a hassle. Many times after leaving a message, I wouldn't get a call back - so I just kept on dialing till someone finally picked up and told me they were waiting for my insurance company to approve. Frustrated, I called my insurance company to see if my prescription had been approved since SleepQuest had kept stalling me. Low and behold, it had been approved for 4 days ago and these guys had dropped the ball. When I called, I was told that 1) Blue Cross was lying to me and that it had *just* been approved 15 minutes ago and 2) I couldn't get an appointment for a whole week to pick up my prescription because they were so busy and that 3) They'd charge an arm and a leg for it even after my insurance paid for 90%. This ticked me off enough to go ahead and get my prescription from my doctor and procure what I needed online. Low and behold, I had what I needed in less than 2 days with free overnight shipping and at 1/5th the price after insurance. SleepQuest may be local, but they clearly are gaming the insurance industry by charging 4X-5X of market prices. If you do get referred here by your doctor, do yourself a favor and say no thanks. Then go get a copy of your prescription and shop online - it's much more efficient. I just wasted 3 weeks working through these jokers that I wish I had back. read more

Poor customer service. I went to location because it was listed in a an outdated list that Stanford gave me. I will be sure to mention to Stanford in my follow up visit in a week the poor treatment I received. I went to wrong place because they had moved a building over and Stanford had outdated info. Woman answering phone was rude and disrespectful not explain that they had moved. She gave me a hard time about my insurance (my hubby works for Google and I have the best insurance) and seemed to want to give any and every reason to discourage me and or make it harder than it needs to be. When I told her she was being rude and unhelpful, she told me I could take my business elsewhere. Spoken like an employee that really doesn't care about doing a good job and or the company they work for! Go the CPAP SERVICE IN SAN JOSE. They have 5 stars and have great service. I was diagnosed w/ OSA and got a list of places to get the equipment from. I only inquired w/ SleepQuest and another place b/c it gets time consuming to shop around. Anyway, I've had some trouble accepting the machine and to be fair, it appears alot of these DME places don't have knowledgeable staff. I mean they call themselves "resporatory therapists" but i simply don't see anything for this orientation being how to connect the hose to the machine and how to turn on the machine. ANd they charge for that too (while other competitors don't).Anyway, I just see the ppl there as "filling a prescription" that's it. read more

Bought my APAP here a few years ago and had an absolutely horrible experience with their so called 'support'. All I can say is be very careful that to find out what they are charging you and what your insurance will actually cover. If your insurance does not fully cover you then you can expect the charge for 1 hour visit with one of their 'therapists' to cost more than a 1 hour consultation with a Palo Alto attorney. They don't really have your well being in mind, they just want a lifetime relationship which involves having 'patients' coming in for this reason or that so they can bill you and/or your insurance ad infinatum. read more

I was not wanting to wear the CPAP, even though my husband and brother as a few friends use the CPAP and rave about their sleeping time now is outstanding..no more snores..no apnea..better health all around. Good thing they dont market the appearance of wearing the mask and cord.. it can be scary looking but then if you sleep quietly and safely you forget your looks. It's definitely not an added beauty item. Ian is knowledgeable as he demonstrated to me the proper use of the CPAP and answered all my questions which I had many. I was referred to SleepQuest by my dentist. I wanted to get a sleep study done in the comfort of my own home. The process was easy and outstanding. Several weeks later i was recommended for a CPAP machine to assist my sleeping. SleepQuest handled my physician prescription, insurance and logistics. Its been 3 weeks since i began sleeping with the assistance of this device and already i feel great. I have not slept this well or felt this refreshed since i cant remember. NOTE: This is for the San Francisco location: Thank God I found them, thanks to the Stanford sleep Research Center which had them listed, after years of struggling to deal with Apria around my CPAP equipment. I found them fast, helpful, pleasant and efficient. And today I discovered that I seem to have lost my little plastic filter door for the fine filter while traveling on my Resmed S9 and so can't use the filter: I called to ask if they carried it -- it's available on-line for about $10 but I didn't want to wait. The pleasant person who answered said, "No we don't have replacement parts for it but they shouldn't fall off, and we have a spare one so we'll just give it to you." ! So later today I will pick it up and happy I can reciprocate by writing this Review (which they did NOT request). Parking and location is also very convenient as they are in a plaza with free parking. read more

I was referred to SleeqpQuest by the doctor who diagnosed me with Apnea. The therapists there have been very helpful in setting up my CPAP machine, instructing me on its use, and fitting me with a mask. After some time, when I decided I'd like to try a different mask, I received excellent advice and fitting. When I purchased a new, different CPAP machine and was not feeling as good on it as my old one, Mary, the manager was most kind in allowing me a longer period of time to try it out. This allowed me time to return to Stanford Sleep Clinic and see my doctor who changed pressure and EPR and then re-checked my sleep record. This showed that although the AHI was acceptable, I was having constant awakenings during the night which explained my severe exhaustion and jet-lagged feeling despite 7-8 hours of sleep. Mary, the manager at SleepQuest was most decent and understanding, and the problem was resolved satisfactorily. During part of this time period, my original CPAP machine was awaiting a repair ticket from Walgreen's, the contracted Medicare provider. The process did not work-- my machine sat for a month awaiting a document from Walgreen's which would instigate the repair process. When I called Walgreen's and learned they had no knowledge of my machine in their system, and SleepQuest saw what happened, they immediately issued me a new CPAP machine, and assumed responsibility for straightening out the mess with my old machine and Walgreen's. I was so relieved when SleepQuest gave me that new CPAP machine, saving me from struggling with Walgreen's etc....and waiting for a repair... SleepQuest said my machine was still under warranty and would be replaced by the manufacturer and they pulled one from their inventory, and I went home thrilled to have my problem solved. Mary, the manager at SleepQuest has been absolutely wonderful and decent to me and I am delighted to share this excellent experience. read more

I have been working with Sami Duque of Sleepquest for the last three weeks and am very pleased by his attention to my needs and Sleepquest's equipment policies. I am just starting CPAP therapy, and in my case it's taken some tweaking to set me up with the best equipment. Sami has been very patient and responsive, and has provided good advice. Sleepquest was very good about switching out equipment that didn't work for me. I think I'm now on a good course. Finding this place was interesting, especially with Apple Maps. The place is right next to freeway but it's a 1/4 mile from the street so it's not easy to find. despite all the negative reviews, my experience with Apria led me to try another way. I had to get my medical records transferred from So Cal to my new Nor Cal Dr. and this took FOREVER. However, the team at sleep quest called me several times to check up on the status of my order and hung in there with me while we dealt with the transfer issue. Once it was resolved, they were great about the equipment and scheduling and the ease of getting my new mask. Thank you for great customer service... read more
