If you can make it past all the obstacles, great clinic. Wish they took new patients!

Searched Yelp for private MRI in Vancouver and found 2 places. One of them with many reviews and only 2 stars (Argh....) and AIM Medical Imaging with only 2 reviews but both were excellent. I would like to thank Yelp and also the previous reviewers. This clinic is EXCELLENT. I called at 8,35AM and got my exam scheduled to the same day. Clinic is modern, clean and with very friendly staff. After the exam, I went to listen to the doctor who gave me the good news that the anterior crucial ligament (ACL) was not totally torn but....... (Why there is always a "but"???) ... my meniscus had been flipped and are not in the right place. So....I need surgery to be able to walk again. When we left the clinic I was given a pen drive with the images, so I can send for several doctors to listen who is going to perform the surgery. Few hours after the exam I received on my email box the medical report. AIM is also sending all images and report to my Family Doctor. I highly recommend this clinic! Now.....time to search for the best meniscus repair surgeon.....OMG.... Hoping to hit the slopes next year, I wish you all a nice day! :)

This place was the cheapest of them all, and included a consultation with the radiologist after the scan. It was superb!! They organised the scan in less than 24 hours, and the service was impeccable, absolutely flawless. The radiologist provided a really useful initial interpretation of the results, and had them on CD and on a weblink and sent to our family doctor within an hour of the scan.

Though I have been using my CPAP for 8 years now he took the time to go over everything about my machine and how it works as well as giving me great insight and detail about the new machines that are available and how to go about getting approval from my health insurer to get financial assistance in purchasing a new machine. I love that you can book your own appointment online. I've visited a couple times before getting off the waitlist. It took about 2 months to get off the waiting list but I eventually received an email telling me I had been assigned to a doctor and to make an appointment. The office is small and busy every time I've been there. Two receptionists greet you and are busy managing the office, phones, etc. They are friendly and efficient - no complaints. The doctor has always been friendly and knowledgeable on the few visits I've had so far. I don't doubt his expertise and it's why I continue to go here. I'm sure it's the same at many clinics but my only issue would be that each appointment is super brief (you can feel that they are trying to move through people quickly in order to bill for each 'visit'). Aside from my first appointment, all subsequent appointments have been 5-10 minutes maximum. If I have questions, the doctor answers them but he does ask that separate issues require separate appointments (and I have to make an appointment to get prescriptions renewed quarterly) ... the process is a result of the medical industry in Canada so I can't fault them for trying to run a profitable business. I get it - they get paid per appointment, not duration of appointment.
