If you aren't a member of Riverside Country Club, you should look into a membership as soon as possible. I have been playing here since I was a kid, and I have continued to play here once or twice a year for the last 10 years. The course has seen a lot of improvements over the years, and I can confidently say that right now it is in the best shape I have ever seen it. The staff at Riverside are incredibly friendly and helpful. They are willing to cater to whatever your needs are, and will always help out no matter what the request. The golf course is incredible. Neatly manicured, meticulously cared for, and always clean, I am in love with Riverside. This course offers a variety of challenges with plenty of trees, water hazards, and beautiful scenery. I'll try and take some photos next time I am there during good light so you can get an idea of how beautiful this place is. A few years ago, the entire facilities were torn down and redone. A brand new club house that is completely separate from the rest of the club. Great merchandise inside, a nice leather couch to sit and watch the golf channel, and a separate bathroom so you don't have to walk all the way over to the main building. The new main building has incredible new locker rooms, a well fitted fitness room, and a great restaurant upstairs that has pretty great food. There is too much to say about Riverside. If you are interested in learning more about memberships, visit riversidecountryclub.org or message me on Yelp. I'd be more than happy to help out or answer any questions you have.

Came here for lunch so this review is strictly about the food and the food alone. Okay, a little bit of the amenities, sure. The new boss is, of course, a member of the country club that's why we got the 'golden ticket' to try the place for lunch. I'll be honest, I was skeptical because first, it's a golf course so it's meant for golf and not *good* FOOD. Why 4 and not a 5? I am giving it a 4 because I have to take into serious consideration that this is not a restaurant. FOOD: Well to start-I didn't like my food, I ordered the thin-sliced beef Italian sandwich and the only thing I ate from it was the bread. The sauce was a blah, the meat was WTH, the cheese was uhm, and the tomato was not fresh, like are-you-kidding-me-not-fresh? In all fairness the chicken verde soup was ok but it could definitely use some salt or better broth for taste. They also served free rolls, came out fresh and warm and they were okay. SERVICE: The server was straight face, she seemed too busy to talk and decided to refill my drink before we left so it was a little too useless if you think about it. We got a brief tour of the place, the massage, gym, shoe shine booth, locker room area. Women's locker room was impressive. It looked like a hotel inside, I could see any woman enjoying that place. Will I go back to eat here again, if it's free yeah because who am I to complain for free food, but if I have to pay definitely-No thank you. I will get Mulitas, if ever I come back to eat for free and not the Italian beef sandwich. My colleague got it and let me taste it and it was good. Are you wondering why I got the Italian sandwich in the first place? Well I ask our server what she will recommend and I listened to her.

Ive only been once so far and the food was prepared deliciously. I had some kind of a Thai Curry Samon and it was perfect.

Okay, The Block might be my new favorite restaurant in Provo. Every single course delivered…read more We started with honey butter and rolls (dangerous in the best way), then moved to the ricotta and focaccia; perfectly balanced and honestly could've stopped there and been happy. But then came the steak, which was flat-out the best I've had in years. No notes. Here's the thing though, I'm not a gnocchi person. Never have been. Our server talked me into it anyway, and I'm genuinely grateful. It's a short rib and stew situation with gnocchi that somehow hits every note perfectly. Total convert now. And the s'mores pie to close out the night? Simply perfect. Don't skip it. The service was great too, our server clearly knew the menu inside and out and steered us exactly right.

It was first time trying Block and overall it was a neutral experience. I was with a bigger party…read moreand our table was well attended to. However, we did have one drink server where we had some issues with, but our main waitress was lovely. For starters, our table shared the baked ricotta, balsamic glazed brussel sprouts, and bread rolls with honey and butter. The brussel sprouts were good, but the bread rolls were my favorite! They were so incredibly soft and pillowy. They honestly didn't even need the bread and butter! I was most excited for the baked ricotta, but unfortunately it was a disappointment for me. Ricotta is a very mild cheese to begin with, but I tasted absolutely zero flavor from it and it was mostly just adding a textural element to the bread. The fig walnut guanciale jam was overpoweringly sweet and the guanciale was also nonexistent. Overall, what I expected to be a flavorful combination, fell pretty flat and bland for me. Onto the main, I got to try the Block burger and the house made gnocchi. The burger was a standard burger, nothing too crazy. I was surprised the patty was actually moist because it was cooked well done. The same jam from the baked ricotta was used, so wasn't a big fan of it because again the overwhelmingly sweet didn't do much to elevate the burger. I also missed any flavor from the truffle cheese sauce. So it was a pretty average burger. My gnocchi definitely tasted better than it looked. Another friend also got the same dish and it looked like they just split our portions in half and served it on two separate plates. In general, I wasn't a big fan of this dish. The braised short rib was very tender, but the whole plate sat in a pool of salty sauce. I couldn't really make out any other flavors. The scoop of crème fraiche tasted exactly like sour cream and was not the consistency that I expected. The gnocchi's were made well, but I prefer mine a little firmer. However, this is complete personal preference. Overall, service was good, but food fell severely short of what I expected. I was so excited for all of these elevated flavors and ingredients, but, sadly, none of them came through.

Service: the service is OK, it took some time for the waitress to show up but not overly tardy…read more Ambiance: it's a reasonably noisy place and noise bounced quite a bit because the floors were cement and there's not a lot of materials to absorb the noises. Food: this is one big factor for coming to a Brazilian steakhouse. For a place that calls itself a steakhouse, you would expect v various high grade beef cuts but I'm guessing that the beef prices in the last 3 years must have squeezed this chain to death and they are coming up with "creative" ways to fill you up with less beef. Here are the fillers: lots of syrupy chicken, pineapple drowned with sugar, sweet ham, sausages and even chicken hearts (organ meats in a steakhouse !!!). When I were there, I actually asked the server about the beefs and he said there were only 3 types of beefs served and none were rib-eye, tenderloin and anything of the higher grade cuts. The beef cuts served were tri-tip and sirloin marinated in different ways. Ribeye and tenderloin used in previous years are no longer used. The quality of beef has undeniably declined. Conclusions: what's the verdict and would I return? Most definitely not, for that price. They need to do better.

The restaurant was well decorated. Each booth and individual bar seats had coat hooks. I think that is a nice touch. The restaurant is clean, including the restroom (I can only comment on the male restroom). The server was great - very friendly and very helpful in deciding what to order. My daughter was craving biscuits and ordered one. While I am not a connoisseur of biscuits, I will say it is the best I have ever had. The quality of the food was first rate - taste, presentation, and serving size for the price. I will definitely be back.

We came on a weekday morning, no waiting list needed, and were seated immediately. Promising start. Then we waited ten minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, in a restaurant that was not crowded and appeared to be well staffed. This is not a one time observation. The gap between being seated and actually being served has been a recurring theme across multiple visits, and at some point a pattern stops being a coincidence and starts being a logistics problem that needs fixing. When the food finally arrived it reminded me exactly why I keep giving this place another chance. The crepes with berries and mascarpone were delicate and well executed, though the kitchen could afford to be more generous with both the berry sauce and the mascarpone. The portion is on the modest side, which worked fine for me personally but may leave hungrier diners wanting more. The traditional omelet was the star of the visit, specifically the jalapeño wrapped in bacon that comes with it. It was exceptional and the kind of detail that shows real kitchen creativity. My only complaint is that there is only one. There should be at least two. The cinnamon roll is enormous, which is its own form of commitment, but the dough ran a little dry this visit compared to previous experiences. An off day perhaps, but worth noting. Three stars, and every one of them belongs to the kitchen. Sort out the service flow and this place jumps immediately.

We came because we wanted gourmet burgers. Turns out that their two burgers were bison burger. No thanks. No matter. My friend and I had the Traditional Navajo Taco(s) and his wife had the Sheep's Steak Salad. Everything was delicious. I put the "s" in parentheses because the menu is in plural but it really is just one taco. The Navajo Taco description from their website: Our Navajo tacos are a true taste of tradition--crispy, fluffy fry bread tacos topped with flavorful ingredients, served alongside cilantro-lime rice and pinto beans. Whether you're searching for Indian tacos near you, Navajo food, or the best tacos in Provo, this dish hits the spot. Find out why so many call this the top Navajo taco at one of the most authentic Navajo restaurants around. Also known as Navaho tacos, it's a must-try comfort food. It was excellent. The fry bread was nice and spongy and the toppings were flavorful. The refried beans and the rice were also excellent. Not just good, but excellent. She really enjoyed her steak salad as well. All in all a really good meal, didn't even miss the gourmet burgers. So yes, you better make a reservation. And this was a Thursday night. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
