The food here is amazing! Never had a bad experience from here! The wait can get a little long sometimes, especially on Fridays and weekends, or at lunch time on week days. The prices for food vary on what and/or how much you purchase. The staff are friendly and the place stays pretty clean. They have a very cool selection of sodas. This is really good brick oven pizza! They have pizza,salads,Strombolis and you can buy pizza by the slice as well. Just one of there large pizzas will feed 3 people very easily. They also give you garlic bread knots as an free appetizer with your order. They also have a game room on one side of the restaurant that you can eat in and play video games or pool while you eat. Today my wife and I had the unique pleasure of eating at Sliced On Elm. We were greeted by one of the most enthusiastic employees that I have ever met. Her name was Aubrey. Aubrey was so excited to tell us about the whole history of the restaurant and how much she enjoys working there. It would be hard to find someone that is more enthusiastic about their job. She made our dining experience very enjoyable and we will definitely be back the next time we are in commerce Georgia. My wife got a Greek salad and I got a meatball sub plate and it was fantastic. I have eaten here a few times prior and the pizza was always very good. Last night I ordered a Greek salad and a white pizza (which I have had before). The dressing was extremely over powering and ruined the salad. The pizza....cold, crust did not seem cooked enough and doughy and they totally skimped on the ingredients. Kept waiting to taste the cheese but all dough. And really over kill on the basil. For the prices that they charge and the situation we are in right now they need to do better....or they will not make it too much longer. read more

This is the 2nd location opened in Jackson County, the other being in Hoschton. It's in the same location where Little Italy used to be. Pizza, calzones, salads and the usual fare. There are not too many places we have been too and wished that we had just eaten the money instead, but this is one of them. 10 wings, a medium pizza and a beer + soda is $45! The wings are very special, they have no taste what so ever and were placed table-side while still red hot. Not a grain of Parmesan cheese to be seen. The pizza arrived and after removing the first slice it revealed the oil/grease lake that lies underneath. There was what appeared to be red sand on top that I was informed was actually the Italian sausage, Oh. This is true southern pizza. Just ask for biscuits the next time your in New York City to understand some foods don't travel well. I would not feed this to my dog. read more

I had positive experiences at Sliced on Elm and Sliced in Hoschton when they first opened. Over the last few visits, the quality of the pizzas has deteriorated. The amount of toppings has decreased, and the quality in general has decreased. One night recently, I called to order and they were out of lettuce?! Odd. On our most recent visit, I ordered a slice of cheese pizza. What I received seemed to be leftovers from earlier in the day, and the cheese was dark and crunchy. I did reach out to the restaurant, but they never responded even though they read my messages. It's all unfortunate because I like supporting family owned businesses, but I can't recommend this place for the price you pay. read more

Horrible experience tonight. I ordered 2 pizzas with chicken and when I arrived to pick up my order they told me they were out of chicken so they made my pizzas without it instead of calling me before they made them so that I could decide whether I still wanted to place an order. They waited until I drove 20 minutes there and waited 40 minutes for my pizzas. That's not it. I open my pizza and see they put marinara sauce on one when I ordered pesto sauce. I asked about it and the cook said their pesto sauce it made with sun dried tomatoes and is red. The manager told the cook to go get the can of pesto sauce so they can show me and the cook comes back and says they ran out of pesto sauce. Not sure if he was initially trying to lie to me or not but I told them to cancel that pizza and I got my money back. When I got home with my other pizza I found out that they didn't put basil on it along with the chicken that they told me about. After calling them to tell them, they tell me they ran out of basil. So both pizzas I ordered were wrong. I paid for a specialty pizza but was given a cheese pizza. They ran out of many ingredients and instead of telling the customer they made my pizzas however they wanted to and tricked me into paying for something else. If it means anything they did tell me to keep the pizza that they refunded my money for. Ruined my Friday night dinner. The dishonesty and deceit is why I will not be back. read more

Perhaps an "off night". Customer service, extremely poor. No greet. No asking if we have been there before. Just a "figure it out yourself" vibe. I order the margarita pizza, a specialty pizza. Specialty means, the pizza makers should be excellent or above average at making said specialty item. They or specifically Tyler, was not. As a matter of fact his solution to his terribly made pizza was "I would just tell him to order a different pizza!" Well Tyler, I'd say learn how to make pizza better. Learn how to own up to making a bad pizza pie. Learn how to have some professionalism in the work place, especially when you have an open face kitchen. "I remember my first beer". Sauce was over kill, honestly nothing special, tasted like it came straight out of the can. The basil, oh my goodness, was easily from Monday or Tuesday, absolutely looked like garbage. I'm sure they knew it was not good quality and too lazy to go grab some fresh basil and julienned it themselves. So instead, just threw maybe 1oz over a LARGE pie, not a 18". When asked for a side of basil it was wet, not bright green, not fresh and for sure not rotated prior to evening shift. I can tell you the ingredients are not fresh and lack quality because I am already bloated from having ONE slice. If it was quality, I wouldn't be bloated. Beer can only hide poor quality for so long and when you get someone who has high expectations like myself, and sober, someone who has been in the restaurant industry for over 10 years, from fine dining to causal dining, to be disappointed with something that should be respected and cared for. Pizza is an art, it takes a real artist to make and create an excellent pizza. It takes a real man to take constructive criticism. I can assure you I won't be back, even though I have an 18" pie on the "books" when I order a large, which I'm assuming is the 20". So that makes sense....not. Unfortunately for the staff I know the owner personally and rest assured what I experienced tonight was sub par to his standards. There was dirt in between the beverage station and ice box. Seats had sauce stains on them. Cracks on tables had food stuck in them. Just wow and not in the best of ways. Scale of 1-10. I give a 2.0. read more

08/14/2018/ APPROX 2pm. I can say the pizza was good overall. 2nd time here - 14" pizza was tasty despite being overly charred on one side of the bottom - maybe just burnt flour - my anchovies helped that. Toppings were adequate as well as was the cheese -appearance visually was nice. $6 Beer cup seemed smaller than I remember - might be cutting back an ounce or 2 possibly. Garlic knots were under cooked- couple were actually rawish inside- not many people there at the time so I see no reason for those 2 minor things. It was very hot in there - here's an idea: Don't open the door and use a fan or 2. CLOSE the door and keep the a/c on during off peak hours at a decent temp of 70-72. It will take LESS time and ENERGY to cool off the whole place once prime dinner time arrives and your ovens are cranking out pizzas. Hot rooms don't make me want more beer ok? I have not been there during a busy time but will try a Fri/Sat 7PM visit just to see how that goes. I can say the pizza was good all in all - It's a nice place really and is worth dining at. Pizza is really good but you should order it a little well done. Service can be an issue. I've ordered for pick up, been told 45 min and showed up after 25 min to cold pizza sitting on the counter. They also seem to mess up half and half pizzas. I've eaten thrir food snout 30-30 times and it's hit or miss...but the food is good even when not correct. read more

The bacon ranch sandwich was good. Came with a mountain of Parmesan fries that were good as well. My wife enjoyed the Greek salad as well as her slice of pepperoni. Ok pizza. Not great,but good. Since Little Italy couldn't make it here, I doubt this place will. Service is really hit and miss. Ask for your crust crispy and you'll get strange questions and looks from those behind the counter. Its almost like they are offended. The Slice pizza (That's the name of the pizza, not the style)is the best. It has ricotta. Commerce has a new, best pizza place! We really enjoyed the salads, adding the chicken is definitely recommended, it is very moist and delicious! The garlic knots are absolutely the best I've had... huge, soft, garlicy, and not too buttery. The fried cheese is house-made, and fantastic! Everyone in our party agreed it was the highlight. The pizza is very tasty with a thin crust and flavorful sauce, toppings are about anything you can imagine. The meatball sandwich was superb... I have never had one with ricotta spread on the bread, what a nice touch! Seating was terrific...small tables, cozy booths, large picnic style tables, huge corner booths...any size group can find a comfy place to enjoy this unique spot.
