I just went here before Valentine's. Don't go unless you want to hear people praise Trümp. Like nonstop. And share really outrageous things about the LGBTQ+ community. Not a safe space! That's for sure. The lady at the front desk told me my stylist was running late which is no problem but also shared that the stylist was picking up her dogs ashes. My stylist was nice but you could tell she was out of sorts. She left the bleach on until it was burning my scalp and when I called her over she told me that was normal. Never had a burning at other salons and I get bayalage all the time. Hair came out okay, probably as good as I would have done at home but for $150. Pretty brittle at the money pieces, thankfully no breakage. I still tip 20% but never going back there. read more

I hate doing this but it seems justified since this happened. V/M made it look like she said Kathy instead of Sassy (happens all the time) In the photo you will see the voicemail unedited. First of all a five star facility would never look like a hoarders nest with crap piled up on unused station everywhere. I couldn't even see the girl behind the said desk because of all the crap across the front end, she moved several things just to take my card. They double dip or should I just say use the exact same dipping stick for your entire session while getting eyebrows waxed. GROSS!!! Also during my visit which was 15 minutes late but I understood, it was fine things happen, I get it. But during my fill, the spa station behind my apprentice started overflowing she promptly turned around to clean up the mess. She then came back to me with the same hands from the spa that overflowed while the lady was getting a pedicure. During my 15 minute wait I played babysitter to a mom who couldn't control her four children while they were getting their ears pierced one at a time. I was gracious though and try to entertain the boys as they were extremely obnoxious and going to tear up the place but I entertained them with my Iwatch and they seem to be content with that. But maybe the salon owner should've asked mom to maintain her children instead of bothering clients. Again not five star service. With this experience I gave them a 4 star rating only after being forced to because every time I open my phone it kept asking for a review. It was quite annoying so I quickly pushed a 4 to be polite. Honestly it wasn't even two star service. But I was being very gracious to them. Until I got this phone call. I even booked a future appointment with the apprentice that I was not forewarned about and assumed I was meeting with a licensed cosmetologist. By the way I had two nails break within two days. Shame on the owner for canceling me when I put up with all of that and still scheduled another appointment to try to give them a 3rd chance. Her daughter was kind and nice to talk to. Had my hair done Feb 2021. Perm & cut by Teresa Perm did not take on half my hair. Because of the way the perm was given.Never cut it. Showed a picture how I wanted it. Teresa did it her way. Beware if you're 5 min late your appointment will be cancelled. I was 5 minutes late she saw me come in and it took another 3 minutes for her to come to the front to say I won't see you you're late. I stated wow I'm sorry I was only 5 minutes late and she said no 8 minutes and I corrected her and stated 5 minutes you just ignored I was here and turned around and left. I will not give this place my business again. It's not like I didn't wait 15 minutes on my last visit past my appointment and showed up early. I'm not usually late but had my times wrong on my calendar. It's really a shame as my hair always looked nice when finished. I have never felt as irritated as I was at that time. It is so hard to find a beautician that knows color and styles.. Before Stephanie I never found anyone who could color hair without tons of damage when going shades lighter, but with Stephanie I never had that.. she is such a talented beautician and let me tell you this gal knows her cuts too! I recently moved to Kingman. I asked my cousin who she used and she recommended this salon. I am so glad I use them. Theresa is fantastic and asked all the right questions. I got the best results. This was my first pedicure and it was amazing. I relaxed and enjoyed the massage chair while Stephanie worked diligently on my old man feet. I recently had knee replacement and I didn't want to ignore my feet and reaching down there right now isn't easy. I didn't know quite what to expect but it was very relaxing and my feet feel terrific. Now, I couldn't afford to do this a lot but I'm glad I did. I live in a state that is still closed down due to the pandemic. I was coming to AZ and seriously needed some professional help! I found this salon on Yelp and I am so glad I did! Theresa did an amazing job on my hair and brows. I don't remember the name of the delightful girl (I believe she was the owner's daughter) who gave me my mani-pedi, but it was one of the best pedicures I've had. I have medium-length, naturally curly hair that just requires trimming up every 5 or 6 months and Brandy gives me a great hair cut so I pay the exorbitant price. It's really more like a $20 job (which is closer to what I've always paid for a hair cut even in CA) but at Slightly High... the price is, well high, at $30. For Mohave County that's a lot, especially when you're in and out in about 20 minutes. I don't even get it dried cuz, well, it's curly. But like I said, Brandy gives me a good, consistent cut so twice a year I'll spring for a pricier cut. read more

I like the products they use on my hair, smells good after my cut, sometimes from other places the smell is not good I have to go home and wash the style out right away. I am sensitive to smells of all kind and walking in to this salon my senses were very happy, I smelled clean sanitized floors, the counters and chairs were wiped clean, no powerful smell of dust and grime left sitting around built up in the corners and so on... I think it is a family owned business and they are not shy with the elbow grease clean. Definitely go here for your salon needs. read more
