I'm inquiring about the groupon, is it only good for the bootcamp classes or is it also redeemable for the runners club?

Ricky and Frankie were nice, and helpful. I'd say I felt less intimidated at the 8.15 class than the 9.30 one that was crowded and felt too fast paced for me. It's definitely challenging and makes me feel very out of shape at times but I'm willing to try it again. It's pretty hype and the owner is young & chill. Their social media content is good too. It appears to be a community but I need more time to feel part of it.

Being a physical therapist I've always struggled with the structure of the classes, how stations were timed and back to back without rest focusing on the same muscle group, which doesn't allow for optimal muscle performance and loss of proper form, but my competitive nature hated to not commit to the challenge. Here, the workouts are balanced and paced, so you can rest when you need to and not rush, so your form is maintained and less risk of injury. Also the vibe is awesome, very fun, relaxed, self paced and supportive. My first class was with Frankie and he was great, not overly hovering when I was okay, but there as soon as I had a question. My new gym for sure! Would highly recommend!!

You can tell they really want to see you succeed, not just show up and survive...although some days survival is definitely the goal. The trainers are fun, crazy, motivating, and they will make you hurt in the best way possible. Alex is truly the best of the best. He is supportive and will 100% text you to make sure your butt gets to the gym. Bryan has some of the best workouts and hands down the best music, which makes it slightly easier to forget that your body is on fire. Steve will have you laughing, sweating, and leaving with arms and legs that feel like jelly. Ben will have you wanting to leave after the warm up alone but stick around for the whole work out and you will truly see and feel the results. All the trainers hold you accountable because they know you can do it! The Camp workouts are HARD. There will be days you sit in your car questioning every life choice that brought you there. But once class starts, the energy, the trainers, and the people around you push you to keep going and to do better for yourself! And it is SO worth it. Since starting at The Camp in August 2025, I have successfully lost 50 pounds, and I truly could not have done it without this place. The gym is always clean, organized, and classes start on time, which I really appreciate. This place helps you become the strongest version of yourself. It's hard, it's sweaty, it's sometimes painful, but it is absolutely worth it. You won't regret it!

Even if you don't get at the first try, they still help you. Pushing you so you can succeed, and being there to support you. The whole atmosphere of the place is filled with support and encouragement. The community is so welcoming and amazing. Well, I shouldn't say community I would say family. They are always there for you. I started at this gym when I was a high school freshman and now I finished high school. They gave me an opportunity that I would never forget, allowing me to join their P&P classes, and that's when I started to grow. On the final note, Coach D is an amazing person. He was there for me and always was supportive of me. If your considering joining this amazing community, I would do so!

I first tried a free class one Saturday and then signed up for a two week trial which included an orientation with a coach to understand my baseline fitness and goals and help answer any questions. After the two weeks, had a check-in with a coach to see our progress and chat through future plans for our fitness journey. The coaches and staff at TruFit are awesome and have cultivated a great community. The equipment is great (especially if you're training for HYROX, they have all the stations), the gym is clean and spacious and has an outdoor space which I appreciate so it's never stinky. I love seeing the workouts before class so I know what to expect walking in. And as someone who has zero upper body strength, I appreciate the coaches for being able to help modify the workout to my level when I struggle but also push me to get stronger. If you're considering joining, just do it

The group…read moreseems very closely knit, and there is a lot of banter and side conversations, but coach Jimmy still gave feedback to folks during the time. He was also very willing to chat on the phone before I came in for the class. I wouldn't recommend jumping right into a class if you have not done Crossfit before, since the warm up was somewhat elaborate and would be challenging for a true beginner, although I think it was suitable for mid-range or experienced folks. Jimmy helped me scale the running component of the workout which I appreciated since I have focused on strength but not conditioning recently. Many of the members introduced themselves and it's a very friendly environment. I've visited maybe 50 crossfit boxes over the years (used to travel for work), so it's a familiar vibe. I mentioned to Jimmy during the class that I'm managing wrist injuries including tendonitis, so I did ring rows instead of chin ups. He looked at me with a face of disapproval, and it was maybe 10-20 seconds of silence until I asked him to "use his words", and then he told an anecdote of his own injuries from the past. It was bizarre--when an athlete discloses injuries or limitations the appropriate action is for a coach to help them accommodate or scale the workout appropriately. Many crossfit gyms have this problem of encouraging athletes to "push through" or "tough it out", or discouraging athletes from modifying workouts when there is pain or restrictions. I don't feel confident I'd be able to be accommodated at this gym if I were to join. Other Crossfit gyms (and my old one) are much more trained and accommodating in this area. After the class ended, there was a lot of chatting after about which areas of LA are "shit holes" and one member even told another to "go back to where he came from" when talking about Mexico. It seems they are close and the banter went both ways, but I was a bit shocked, and I didn't feel comfortable in an environment where that kind of conversation is happening. I got an email after the class saying that I "missed my class" so maybe there is a check in procedure that was missed somewhere. In summary, a community that seems close, but may not be right for everyone, including myself. I recommend the staff improve admin procedures, more intentionally accommodate injuries or restrictions, or meet with new members even 10 minutes before class to go over workout history or prior injuries.
