TBH I'm pretty freaking obsessed with this place. I don't think I've had a bad experience yet! My favorite thing to get is the tenders, shaken in the Korean BBQ sauce. It doesn't cost extra to get them shaken and you still get a dipping sauce!!! The KBBQ is the perfect amount of heat and sweet. The tenders are moist, yet crispy. What is up with Utah and bomb ass chicken? I was referred to visit Slim Chickens by a friend and boy am I glad I did!! It was pretty easy to find, parking was easy and so fourth. I walked in and got the smallest meal of chicken tenders. I got honey mustard, ranch, and slim sauce for my sauces. It came out super quick! I got my drink, sat down and then viola. Everything was super hot, especially the chicken tenders. Hot in a temperature way of course. On terms of taste, it was spectacular!! The toast was a bit burnt but I was hungry so it's fine. In order of my favorite sauces it is as follows: 1. Honey Mustard 2. Ranch 3. Slim sauce. They have sooooo many sauces...it was hard to pick just a few. The honey mustard was very tangy (definitely more mustard-y, than sweet). The ranch was excellent ranch, it just felt greasy (?). The slim sauce was decent but definitely not my favorite from the bunch. I would go back just to get an array of different sauces than I got this last time lol. Just sad. Ordered chicken strips from the drive thru. Pulled in the parking lot to eat and to my surprise the food was horrible. First off the chicken tasted rubbery and old. The fry's where cold and the bread was cold and stale. I go in and the there is no manager around to take my complaint. How does a restaurant run with out a manager? Big fat fail here on all levels Update. They made it fresh so I thought. Bread was still cold and stale. Chicken was good this time. Problem is they salted the fry's so bad I couldn't eat them. Dining room had tables blocked off and spaced due to social distancing requirements. They also offer takeout. The fries were hot, crispy, and nicely seasoned. Just how I like them! So much hype. So doesn't live up to it. I really wanted to like this place. I really try support local and go out of my way to try places other than the big chains and have this place a shot. Walked in and the girl behind the counter just stared at us. No hi, no welcome, no any questions about the menu--not a word. Even when we did order, she really didn't seem to enjoy her job much. As first timers, we weren't sure what the go-to or recommended options are so got kids meals and tender meals. The portions are generous but I do not understand the need for the "Texas toast--ie regular white bread" on the side of the plate. Not garlic toast or much Texas about it. Just regular toast. I think it's a filler just to make the plate appear more full. I'd suggest they offer some sides! Mac n cheese, salad, slaw--something! Chicken was just OK but if this is the whole basis for your restaurant, you really gotta make it special. It was just OK. Some of my tenders were chewy and others were nice n tender. Odd. I hadn't heard of Slim Chickens and I decided to give it a shot. I have now been back several times, always through the drive through. No matter how big or complicated my order is, it is always perfect and very very fast. You would think that it would have to be sitting under heat lamps to be ready so fast but to the contrary, it always seems so fresh and is hot like it just got cooked. I love dipping sauce and I love that there is a large variety at Slim Chickens to choose from. I have yet to be anything but completely pleased with my experience here. Chicken tenders dipped in the 'slim sauce'. Dare I say this chicken is better than the other places we frequent. They really are better though. We tried Raising Canes last spring on a road trip. I think these are better. Tenders were juicy and crisp. Lots of sauce options. Fries were nicely seasoned. Also served with Texas Toast. I'm a fan. We liked that you could get wings as well. Look .. not gonna lie their food is bomb. But HOLY SHIT the service ‍. They're huge on the app only thing which is actually pretty convenient, except for tonight. I go on the app per the norm and place an order 40 minutes before they close only to be alerted that the app is no longer able to take any orders. So I call because maybe they're actually at capacity and can't take anymore orders, which if that were the case, as irritated as I'd be, I'd accept and move on. Instead, a clearly jarred and incapable young man named James answered the phone and didn't let me finish my sentence before yelling out "he doesn't know how to work the app can you do this". Let's forget for a sec that that's actually not the issue at all. What if I were an elderly person or someone with a an actual disability who genuinely could not work the app? To hear this rude kid would be inexcusably insulting. Get some manners kid. Or get another job. So when I talk to the manager, turns out they are taking orders, just not on the app or over the phone. I literally danced out of this place because my stomach was so happy! I'm not a mac and cheese fan but with the fried bits of onion, buffalo sauce, and fried chicken to top it off it was incredible! Let's talk about the fried chicken for a second. Wow! That's all I can say! It's crispy without being dry and each bite is flavorful. The only thing that would make this place better would be unlimited sauces and to step up their fry game a bit. The fries did the trick, but weren't anything to write home about. Good chicken tenders, on par with McDonald's acclaimed buttermilk crispy tenders. Nothing to go out of your way for, but better than the ill-fated PDQ Restaurant that recently closed. This place is a new kid in town so we decided to give it a try. Looks like their machines were down. The technicality did not stop them from cranking out hot food and doing a fantastic job. They worked around it to get all their customers food. Super stellar company & service. I really love their honey mustard sauce. The buffalo sauce is all so amazing. We tried the chicken tenders, fries, and mac and cheese. My kids loved the chicken tenders and fries. Service is outstanding. They have plenty of employees on hand to serve the customers. They are also cheerful and helpful. The manager is very Hands-On. They have dessert in jars. So good. We tried the chocolate brownie with chocolate pudding, and whipped cream. Very delicious. We really enjoyed the food here! I got the chicken and waffles and loved it!! For a place that does chicken, their waffles were really good and came with more than enough butter and plenty of syrup. Other people in my group had the chicken tenders and really enjoyed the different dipping sauces. The chicken is good and fries are good. We also got a brownie in a jar. It seems to have brownie and something crunchy topped with pudding and cool whip, it tasted good! The chicken tenders are awesome, and the sides they offer are extraordinarily delicious and appetizing. But this last time or orders something, I was grossed me out. Slim Chickens provides all the variety you'd hope for in other stand alone chicken places. Their sandwiches are fantastic and the portions are very reasonable for the price. I tried both the Nashville Hot as well and the Bacavo Ranch sandwiches. The Nashville Hot was superb with a fantastic kick. The rosemary fries are also REALLY good. We didn't get any custard bc we were stuffed, so we will have to come back and try it sometime. The only reason for the 4/5 stars was because my wife got the classic sandwich and felt like other places may have a slightly better classic sandwich, but otherwise amazing place. I've gone to this location multiple times and it's pretty good! The staff is always nice but I feel that they are a little slow for a fast food place. We decided to order online after seeing the drive thru line (about 10-15 minutes wait) and it would have been faster to do the drive thru then when we ordered. I've had their Cayenne Ranch sandwich, Chicken wrap and tenders and fries as meals. Personally, I would just get tenders and fries. Those are the best. The sandwich was ok. Not a big fan of the ranch sauce and the wrap was blah. It tasted just like Sonic's. It wasn't anything special. I got it trying to be "healthier" but it was soaked in ranch. Not that it wasn't good, just don't think it's a healthy option. My biggest criticism is that customers have to pay extra for sauces. I hate places that do that! Slim Chickens has almost 20 sauces but you have to pay 33 cents for each one! My favorites are the Slim sauce and Garlic Parmesan! They also do yummy jar desserts that are fun! read more
