This restaurant always has a line wrapped around the building so we've been curious to check it out. We got in the drive thru line and there were only 5 cars ahead of us but the line started getting long soon after. The wait time was a little long for a drive thru but not the worst. We ordered the ranch bacon burger and bacon cheeseburger, and honestly they tasted pretty much the same. The burgers were good, nothing to complain about but nothing to praise. Fries were hot and crispy which was great. Customer service was okay, the guy who took our payment just asked for our name and that was about it. Not sure if we will come back, it is a bit pricey and I feel like we can get better burgers and better service at a different burger place for a lot cheaper. read more

Pretty good. Their shakes looked delicious especially the Oreo and banana. Pretty big inside with plenty of seatings. They bring your order to your table. I ordered the fish and chips 2 piece $15.99 what I got were three pieces less than 2" x 1" in size. Less than 4oz of fish, which is one of the cheapest sources in the industry. JCW's makes great burgers. Very yummy. I especially love their pastrami burgers! Their fries are thick and delicious. Not too crispy, so if you're more of a limp fry person then they are some of the best. This location is good and the staff if friendly; it is also clean. I'm giving them a 4 star because every time I go here, it takes forever for the food to come out. The second reason is that they are very modest on the shake toppings. They need to put way more toppings in there! If I order a chocolate chip shake I expect there to be chocolate chips throughout the shake, not just sprinkled on the top. I go out of my way PAST jcws to iceberg if I want a shake simply because I know that JCW will jip me on the toppings. read more

A Utah classic. We have to go every time we are in Utah. The burgers are so good, big (if you want something smaller highly recommend the kids burgers, same just smaller!). The grasshopper milkshake is so good, super thick more like soft serve. A must is the ULTIMATE FRY SAUCE. Service is fast and the counter help was friendly. (Those who brought the food to the table, not so much.) They keep the tables and floors pretty clean for fast casual. The milk shakes are always good and filled to overflowing (but they are now using much smaller cups than they used to). The fries need more salt and while they may be fresh (I'm not sure) they aren't as good as Five Guys or In and Out fries. The halibut fish filets from their fish and chips are not that great. The fish is fine but the breading is terrible! Bland and too thick. The tartar sauce is mediocre too. The turkey bacon Swiss sandwich was big enough to share and was really good. This place is okay, much better than the other burger joint down the street, but definitely not too great. The fries were not very hot and needed much more salt. They didn't taste salted at all. The burger was warm but not that fresh off the grill temperature or taste. The bun should be toasted, not just out of the bag it came from. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. It's one of our favorite places to grab a burger! Everything is made to order, so it does take a little time, but it's hot and fresh every time. I love the hickory bbq bacon burger and onion rings the most, but I also really like the turkey avocado & Swiss on sourdough. They have the best fry sauce too! The shakes are always thick and over the top, and usually come out fast so you get dessert first while you wait on your hot items, but I'm not complaining. Drive thru can feel a little slow sometimes, so we usually just come in and order even if we are taking it to-go. If you decide to dine-in, there's lots of tables/booths and TVs with sports on. read more

I really love JCW's because the food is fresh, tasty, and the portion sizes are huge. Prices are in line with most other quick service restaurants, and you get way more food than some sit down places. If you're a burger fan, this is the place. It's best to plan to dine here at off hours. Avoid peak dining times like noon - 1:30 pm and 5-7 pm. Lunch is way more crowded than dinner, and massive lines often form at both the inside counter and the drive through window. Don't be discouraged, however: the kitchen is good at getting the meals out fairly quickly. I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes for my food, even at the busiest times of the day. While the menu isn't massive, it can get a little confusing. There are lots of sandwiches and salads, and then a super puzzling side menu where you can "make it a combo" with onion rings, fries, cheese fries, and a drink. It's needlessly confusing, which I think causes the lines to back up with customers. My favorite burger is the JCW Double, and it is massive! The burger patties aren't exactly huge, but the toppings add a lot of heft to the sandwich. My burger was so heavy to pick up! I love the grilled onions, they are so good. Pro tip: always get the grilled onions (ditto for the sourdough bread instead of the regular bun, although the wheat bun is still delicious). The sides seem expensive, but the portions are massive. You will not go hungry here. Another thing I love about the kitchen staff here is that they know how to properly wrap a burger. With carefully placed paper, you can actually pick it up and not make a huge mess. The indoor dining room has plenty of comfy seating and lots of booths, the the self-serve soda machines even have multiple caffeine free and diet soda options. The fresh brewed iced tea can be hit or miss, depending on the day. Self-service condiments are back, and it's one of the only burger joints in town that offer A1 and Grey Poupon bottles to use. We ordered a large shake and got up to the window and they asked what we ordered and looked around then took a cup that had another receipt attached, took that off and handed the shake to us. I had a craving for a corn dog. I was ticked that JCW served them. When I received my order, I pulled one of the corn dogs out, and immediately got a mouth full of grease. I realized that there was grease running down the stick into my hand. So, I went back through the drive thru to see if they would give me different corn dogs, and I was treated like a criminal, who must be lying. When they brought the other corn dogs, I'm almost positive they were the same ones I sent back. They were cold and full of grease. Tonight my wife and I ordered one bacon cheeseburger plain and one turkey bacon swiss with no tomato and no mayo. When the sandwich arrived not only did it have no tomato or mayo - it had no cheese or bacon. Took it back and what replaced it was so poorly made/assembled I couldn't keep it together to eat fully. One bacon burger and one sandwich and a medium drink came to $24.87. At this point it feels like just straight up greed. There's no reason for these prices given what you get. read more

The downside is that their prices have skyrocket putting it out of reach for our favorite place to grab a burger... For now it remains a solid option.
