In the SAME consultation I was told I eat too many vegetables. 15 minutes later she said "eat more vegetables". When they were out of supplements - for 3 weeks - (that we prepaid) I said what about those supplements. The counselor said "well they won't affect your weight loss much anyway". WHY DO WE BUY THEM THEN I will NEVER recommend this program. Spoke to a "manager" who said she would call me on a certain day to have me come in to meet with her no phone call follow up. I've been on the program since March (it's now November), and I've lost 65 pounds using their products and being accountable to them and myself. I'm about 5 pounds from my original goal, and am now on the maintenance plan to reintroduce myself to foods that can easily cause weight gain, such as bread products and carb-loaded vegetables. I would give them less stars if I could. I joined even though the price didn't sit so well. I was in need of help losing weight. I was excited but during the first cleansing process I got super sick. I couldn't keep anything down and it lasted for over a week. They kept insisting I take the products and continue but I had to stop. It wasn't a stomach bug and i started feeling better after once I started eating more foods and I stopped taking their products. They will not refund you and they will not sympathize with you at all. I understand that all weight loss programs work differently for everyone. Some people may have had success but you'd think these "expert nutritionists" at S4L would also understand that and at least give you some kind of compensation. read more

Slim 4Life is a rip off. I am usually more cautious but I saw names and faces that I recognized in the ads. I was so anxious to lose 10 pounds that I fell for it. I was surprised to learn that I would have to buy about $300.00 of supplements, but I joined any way. While I did lose the 10 pounds, it cost me $500.00. I went ro slimforlife due to listening to the radio about how good it works. It was $ 30 for 30 days..they dont tell you that is the only cost...it comes to over $600, you give a down payment to hold that fee or the next time you come in its over $1000. If you give them the deposit and decide you cant afford to pay the rest you loose your deposit!!! Just like burning money! $300 deposit...its just gone! Now i dont no about anyone else but i work for my money and dont have that to just throw away! I started slim4Life after my daughter and Law and my daughter started the program. I saw my daughter cooking real food, not like another program I tried to participate where food was given already and it made me gain weight instead. The pills they gave to my daughter were taken to our doctor for a review. She looked at them and said they were natural ingredients. My daughter has lost 23 lbs. and my daughter-in law lost a great deal as well. They are looking good! I signed up and I have lost 13 lbs. in 1 1/2 month. I tried to go slower, so I don't take all the pills they ask me to take. But that's the way I want it. Don't get deceived. The product is expensive. You will need about $1475.00 with a 30% discount if you buy a 10-week worth of products. I signed up for a year to keep going for maintenance after I drop 28 pounds that I asked. They actually ask you how many you want to lose. They give you a beautiful book full of guidance, step by step and it's very easy to follow. It tells you what to buy at food stores and how much to eat - everything is measured and/weighed. Your meals are not that scanty and the natural pills help you feel full, along with the snacks and drinks. On Wednesdays, they run discounts on different products. I don't like ALL the snacks they have. (I bought almost every single one they offer, but a few that I haven't tried). I didn't like the smoothies, which they call A, but I like the yellow, hot cappuccino. The bars are really good (they belong to the B) and the noodles and cinnamon oatmeal (C) they will explain to you how this works and the book explains it really well. Their book have some recipes; and sell a book that I am not familiar with yet. I am Planning to buy it later on. The book they give you brings some of them and all are made out of the same meals ands snacks they design for you, but you prepare them. They have three plans: A B an C. When they weight you and measure you, they tell you the plan you should follow. They study your case first and take some days to give you the plan. In the meantime, they pre-prepare you and make you lose some weight under some guidelines before they get you on that specific plan. I recommend this program. I don't know about some others around that well, so I won't compared them. I can only speak about this one i am on. Again, if you aim is to not spend on the program, the program is not for you. But it works if you have the resources, willingness and dedication. You will look great because you will be able to enjoy your clothes you couldn't wear before. We don't feel tired neither because we eat good food along the way. My review is based on a close to three months of observation and almost two month of trial. read more

Absolutely beyond misleading! I have heard two different programs advertised. The first one was 30 pounds for $30. The current one is Six dollars for all program services. This is a lie! The truth of the matter is you also have to buy $555 worth of extra stuff To get the so-called all program services. That is just a minor detail that they leave out. This program really works if you follow it consistently. It is a little "pricey" hundreds of dollars and then more each month if you buy their snacks (not required but helpful in weight loss) and supplements. I have never felt hungry but do sometimes crave things not on my diet list (tortilla chips, cheese, wine). The plan is tailored to the individual so your diet might be different then mine. I had twenty pounds I wanted to lose - I have lost 12lbs in months. 8 more pounds to go! My goal is to be there by the end of the year. The counselors at the Mesquite location are GREAT! I heard a commercial on the radio about Slim 4 Life. It advertised lose 30 pds in 30 days for 30.00 so I made an appt and went. I have never been so pressured in my life to buy into this Slim 4 Life diet plan. The prices were totally outrages and they make you feel like "you need this". Never once was I offered what was advertised. I quit going and then they called my phone constantly wanting me to come back. I guess they did, they had already gotten 500.00 of my money for high priced pills that didn't work and nasty tasting snacks. All this place cared about was getting your money. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Go to Weight Watchers, they are tried and true with no salespeople that pressure you into something you can't afford or want. read more

The people on the phone are very rude. I have 10 pounds of vanity weight to lose. I called to make an appointment for Monday. It was Wednesday evening when I called for the Monday appointment. The woman insisted that obesity is very dangerous and I should come in right now or the next morning. I said I am not even considered overweight, just want to slim down about 10 pounds. I went to slim 4 life about 2 or 3 months after my husband died last year. the total price was really expensive, well i right them a 100.00 deposit and when i left i realized that i could't afford it so i stopped payment on the check now keep in mind that i didn't receive anything from these people not anything and yet because i didn't call them and tell them i stopped payment on that check they turned it over to the da saying they want me arrested for theft by check.so now i have to pay the 100.00 plus 45.00 in fees to keep from going to jail. don't you think that is a bunch of bull. they are noth but a bunch of cowards to have a 59 year old widow arrested for not calling them well boo hoo hoo. read more

I went in weighing 162 pounds and am 5'2. In a matter of 2 and a 1/2 months, I went from a size 14 to fluctuating between a 0 and a 2, which I have NEVER been! I weighed 114 when I went into maintenance, 4 pounds above my high school weight of 110 and have never felt such energy or so good about how I looked! It changed my facial structure, as well as my body structure. I have never been able to lose in my legs/thighs until this program and I have done a ton of exercise programs to no avail. I am working my program again to fit into a wedding dress and now know what I need to do. In one week, I am down almost 5 pounds. It WORKS. You just have to do it right! The supplements do help you with the weight loss. They are basically a vitamin, a carb/sugar blocker, a fish oil type supplement, an appetite suppressant, and a supplement that helps speed up your metabolism for maximum weight loss. You can get generics of these at whole foods or GNC at a lower cost, but you will have to do research to make sure you are getting the same ingredients as well as the same amounts. I just buy the S4L supplements because I know they work; I buy them on sale or in bulk at a discount. Sales are weekly and you can go in at any time and buy bulk products ( I love the vanilla ready made drinks-I use them as creamer for my coffee) and save money that way. For me, it was about being healthy and looking good. How much is that worth to you? For me, I was ready to commit and I am ecstatic that I did! My picture is still on the wall at the Mesquite location and I cannot rave enough about how effective this program is if you work it. It is not a magic pill and does not happen overnight. It is about consistency and dedication. My mantra was given to me by a good friend: Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels! Is it expensive? Yes. I won't lie. Is it worth it? YES, YES, YES! After losing my initial weight, I had my yearly exam and my OB/GYN came in after they weighed me and told me how proud he was of my weight loss and how healthy I was. I am turning 50 in 2 months.
