I trusted her word, and I took it home and looked up how to use one, as it was my first purchase of this kind. I quickly learned that the machine didn't work for its intended purpose. The machine was shown to "work" at the store; the lady turned it on, and it the needle/arm moved up and down. She assured me that it worked. When I took it home, I found that the machine was missing several vital parts and many pieces were broken, pieces that weren't apparent at first to a newbie like me. She took advantage of my unfamiliarity. I tried to return the machine, but the lady told me I couldn't. She basically told me that the machine worked as far as she knew, and that I bought it in that condition. It was a "final sale", because the machine was sold to me as being in working condition even though it wasn't. If she hadn't told me that it worked and that she had experience with sewing, I wouldn't be as sad and angry as I am, but she assured me, with all of her sewing experience and credit, that it worked. She even told me that it was sold to me at a high discount, and that new machines run as high as $130. I paid $40 for mine, but the fact is that it didn't work, and those $130 would go for a NEW machine in perfect working condition. Just a personal experience and warning about this place. Be careful when buying here, and don't pay any money you don't mind losing.

We recently purchased a wood desk for $50, plus an old 50's looking office chair - which was originally $2, but they threw it in for free with the purchase of the desk. The items are varied. Some of it I love, and some of it I don't. Some of it is a little pricey, and some of it is really cheap (in my opinion). It's a great store to check in with regularly because their inventory changes all the time.
