Waiting for a comeback on this delicious hot dog! We are still thinking of you guys !

Amongst the world of hot dogs, it is hard to find a really good hot dog in the Houston area. Craving a hot dog, I turned to Yelp and searched the entire Houston area. Sloppy Dogg popped up as a place that I had not visited before. I ordered a few hot dogs and some fries. I cared more about sampling than finishing everything. The BBQ dog was my favorite!! It had a Sunday afternoon BBQ taste to it that was very unique. Much of the flavor was derived from the sausage and the bbq sauce. The chili dog was good, but was not even close to being my favorite. The trailer itself is located in an easy to reach parking lot. The staff is friendly, but they definitely have their favorites. The delivered the food and checked on another party that was seated there. For me, they rang my pager to come pick up the food myself even though I was the very next table over - and no one else was in line. read more

This place is ridiculous! I was not a hot dog person, like at all, but I've been craving more of this blissful delight. The use frito dust is brilliant. I was like wth is that - until i tasted it!! Quality dogs. Quality toppings. Oh! And the bun. These are legit and substantial buns. Kind of like thick texas toast garlic butter buns. Holy smokes. Hoping Sloppy Dogg opens back up. We've been waiting for a couple years now to come back here. Delicious is an understatement.

When i tell you this is the BEST hot dog my mouth had the pleasure of tasting! First off, the customer service is top tier! Amazing ! Secondly, i was able to customize my dogs and i just went for it with the toppings! It was sooo good i was ready to come back to another one immediately. Found this hidden gem on TikTok actually so I had to try it out. The owners were the cooks as well and after I ordered it took maybe 20 minutes because there people ahead of me but while I waited I sat in my car and they actually brought it to my car. They adhered to COVID guidelines as well. The Sloppy Dogg was pretty good I honestly wasn't fond of the bacon jam it added an unnecessary greasy flavor but overall it was a 6/10. In addition I had sloppy fries as well and they were GREAT they used French fries that were shaped like chips and it held all of the cheese and meat sauce in place. 8.5/10 I'll be returning read more

Just had a chilling dog at a private event. Not only was it the best chilli dog I've ever had. It rates pretty high up in the most tasty things I've ever eaten. And I don't particularly even like chilli dogs. French bread bun was perfection, the dog was really good, the chilli was standard but crunchy chips (Fritos?) and the sauce made the whole thing divine. So happy we got to try this place! We got lucky because they came to our complex. I had the Sloppy Chili Dog and it was so good and HUGE! My bf had the Sloppy Q and loved it as well. On a bright Saturday afternoon, we went to find a little gem of a place I had heard of. The Sloppy Dogg Mobile Caterer. Admittedly, I have been wanting to visit Sloppy Dog for weeks, so I was ready. Upon arrival we were greeted by a great yellow restaurant on wheels with tables, and a huge staff of two, following COVID protocol. A wonderful, friendly staff catered to our needs quickly and with a smile and great conversation. We strolled up ordered two Dogs, and one order of fries to dine in situ. A Sloppy Dogg outfitted as the wife would like it, a Sloppy Jalapeno Bacon Jam and Brisket dog for myself. After a few minutes, our order was ready and delivered to the counter for us to pick up. We scurried back to our table, and quickly opened the carefully packed, Styrofoam containers, and found lovely, carefully constructed, dogs on a toasted Hawaiian style bun. Both dogs were delicious, colorful, attractive, and were crafted with attention to detail, and filling. The fries were cut into thin planks which were a nice change. Overall, I enjoyed mine, and the wife enjoyed hers. She felt that there was too much bun, and the traditional sized frankfurter got lost in all of the other ingredients. My wife was more objective, and so I appreciated her assessment. We agreed, that since there are three (3) other Hot Dog restaurants close by, one that has been open for decades, that are the price point we are accustomed to, that Sloppy Dog seems a mite expensive. $just under $30.00 for 2 dogs fries, and one Sprite. But I did decide to plunk down cash, so that is on me. Overall, it was a small flaw, but one that needs to be mentioned. Money is tight nowadays. Kudos to the folks at Sloppy Dogg, it was a wonderful visit. read more

Had to hunt down this spot on Instagram but I do not regret it. The flavors were different to what I was expecting, they were better than I thought. I had the original sloppy dogg and my girlfriend had the chili and cheese with no onion. Overall I recommend this spot to anybody living around the Houston area. read more
