Chicken Tikka with Gordon's Sicilian Lemon drink

I really enjoyed the drinks. We got a carafe of Gordon's Sicilian Lemon. It was enough for 2 people to have 2 nice sized drinks. My husbands Fish and Chips were a generous portion and the texture was good. Chips were good and peas were good as well. It was very filling. The Chicken Tikka had good flavor however the amount of chicken was paltry. It was the equivalent of 1/2 a small chicken breast. I asked for a side of the cauliflower rice separately, waited 20 min then asked the bartender for it and she said they don't have it (I was offered it at the time of my original order by the same person). She seemed either new or very confused. This is definitely a bar that happens to serve some food. While I liked the food I wouldn't return to this location because of the service and tiny portion.

Great atmosphere, fast service and amazing food. My roommate and I both got the English breakfast (which was huge), tea and a mimosa for in total £25. Definitely recommend as a cafe to chat and grab some food!!

Yum big nachos and in the half price Monday deal

Went on a Monday - seems everyone had the same idea to nab their 50% food deal - so was very packed downstairs - but managed to find a nice spot upstairs - where it is not nearly as cosy but fine for cheap food and hearing your conversation with your table mates. Was happy to find my nachos (meant for sharing but a main - just for me- see pic) were very big and yum - I imagine most food is as standard for chain pubs but it is a good spot to sort of escape central London and not ridiculously busy and lots of deals with friendly service.

The "Porn Star Martini," complete with passion fruit and Prosecco chaser. At the Slug&Lettuce in Mayfair, London. LOVED IT!

Good deals on bottomless but they need to do something to bring more men into the establishment. It was painfully all women there

Oh yeah! Americans…read morefrom California here. Who would've known that mashed potatoes, sausages, and gravy would go so well together! Loved every bite. Got the gravy on the side, didn't think I'd use all of it, before I knew it, it was all gone. And you wouldn't think that the type of mash or type of gravy or type of sausage would matter that much, but they really do all have distinct flavors! I will be mixing mustard into my mashed potatoes from now on. Originally came for the sticky toffee pudding, so of course we ended with that. Marvelous! The toffee sauce is so comforting and rich, the cake was so moist, and it was perfectly balanced with the ice cream. Didn't detect any dates, maybe they were too finely chopped. Also the apple and blackberry crumble just didn't hit the same; it was slightly dry and on the sour side (maybe don't take a bite directly after the pudding!) Service was so helpful and friendly; I'm sure they love watching people fall in love with their food. Quick with refills and offered extra condiments if needed. Great air conditioning as well (always a plus), and I loved the green blacksplash and blackboard caligraphy on the walls as well. Bangin'

the poor rating has to do with the rude staff at this location. i'm not sure if he was the owner or…read morea staff member, but there was an older man who was very rude to us when we arrived. we entered the establishment, as that is what you typically do when you want to dine at a restaurant, and he came up the stairs and didn't even offer a greeting. i mentioned that we had a reservation for that time and he immediately just kept repeating that our table was outside. we went outside to their small patio dining area, and saw that there was a table with a "reserved" sign on it, so we sat down. i thought it was incredibly rude that he spoke to us in that manner, and it seemed like he expected us to somehow know that that table was ours before we had even spoken to any staff. i was seriously considering getting up and leaving but i decided to give this place one more chance. it then took a while, but we were eventually served by a much more pleasant and friendly younger server, who helped make this experience better. i would give this place a lower rating, however i must admit that the food was delicious. as an american tentatively wanting to try british bangers and mash, this exceeded my expectations. we all spoke about how the sausage was plump, snappy, and delicious, definitely one of the best we've ever had. the mashed potatoes were also amazing- cheesy and heavenly, and i'm not even usually a mashed potatoes kinda person. i am glad that we stayed solely for the delicious food, but i would not come back because of our experience with the staff here. the place already was one of the emptier spots on this very busy soho street anyway.

wow..... this was .... WOW…read more being from the states and seeing the typical sunday roast advertised on every platform made me NEED to try it for myself. i did copious amounts of research to find the absolute best in London and I can confidently say this. is. IT. we absolutely adored this meal. i shared it with my boyfriend and it was just enough for both of us. FOOD: beef with horseradish, lamb with mint sauce & pork with applesauce: WOW!!!! we absolutely loved this. phenomenally cooked and paired amazingly with the sauces. the Yorkshire pudding, duck fat roast potatoes, a selection of seasonal vegetables and blacklock Gravy were AMAZING!!!! absolutely scrumptious. i dream of the crispy potatoes that were so soft on the inside. vegetables were flavorful and i would swim in the gravy! ATMOSPHERE: coolest joint ever. bathrooms that say "east end boys" and "west end girls". when you enter there is neat decor with record players and low lighting. downstairs was a dimly lit, beautiful cacophony of people laughing, enjoying their meals & the greatest decor ever. it was such a vibe in this establishment! SERVICE: so helpful, fast service and kind people. everyone was so nice there! OVERALL RATING: 100000/10 i would definitely go back. i think back often of this meal and want to cry i crave it so badly! GO! RUN!

I was in London for a short 4 days but landed on a Sunday so I knew I had to try a Sunday roast! By…read morethe time I was planning, the only open reservation was at 2pm so I ended up coming for a late lunch. I opted for the all-in which includes a portion of the beef, lamb and pork roasts. A really great way to try their variety of meats. First, the portion was absolutely huge - I definitely appreciated how much vegetables there were, the roasted brussels and carrots were delicious. Sides were all good - including the roasted potatoes and yorkshire pudding. The star was the meat of course, my favorite ended up being the lamb which was super tender and flavorful. Loved the crispy pork rind that comes with the pork roast slices and the gravy and sauces on the side really rounded out the meal, added a ton of flavor and made it fun to try the different sauces with the variety of meats. Service was great and everything came out really quickly! Definitely would recommend Blacklock to try the famous Sunday roast in London, you can't go wrong here!
