Texas kitsch in terms of room names, but well appointed and a friendly, local staff. The hotel is kept in its original state/theme, especially the large bar downstairs and is a good fit for a more rural county seat. Comfy, cheap, easy and easy to miss if you're not looking. Well worth the stay if you're in Brady for the night.

Since I drive through Mason to get there I figured I would try out a room in Mason. I am glad I did. First, the owner was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms, although small, were very clean and looked like they had been newly remodeled. My only complaint is that the TV. in our room did not get very good reception. For about $55, it was worth it. I will suffer driving 30 miles between Mason and Menard to stay here again.
