I selected a grey linen and it was blue...Similar to the last one I had bought. I have had a master electrician and a low voltage installer as well as my master builder not be able to get the lights to work. I am told by owner to send them back...I HAVE HOLES IN MY FURNITURE. He says a 12 year old could do it.....He has yet to admit his equipment is at fault. The mechanical on this bed is WAY WAY harder than the last two. I slept on the last bed for 2 years and took it up and down daily. This one I can barely budge. AND DO NOT PAY 700 dollars for the garbage mattress that comes with the bed. The first bed mattress was good. The second was garbage and he sent me the same as the first and took back the garbage mattress. The third bed he sent me the garbage mattress and said it is the only one he has. I sent him the name of the one he had sent the first time and then saw he was charging me 700 dollars for a 300 mattress and I fortunately cancelled it. My recent text exchange basically he said...I hope your bed doesnt break down.....I am taking that to mean he will not honor the warranty. Then he accused me of JUST trying to get 99 dollars back for the lights that dont work. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars with this company. And he accuses me of of only wanting 99 dollars. I told him I was writing this review. He said he will post all of our corespondents....WOW. all he had to do was make it right..... Apparently this company doesnt tell the truth or take responsibility when it does something incorrectly....I DID NOT KEEP ANY MATTRESS THAT I CANCELLED. He showed us an option which seemed great "in the store". Went over pricing for the mattress, delivery cost and set a delivery date. Explained to him I was starting Cancer treatment that week and that my parents were staying with me for a few months but I still wanted to mattress to be delivered at their house soon. My dad went home to receive the mattress and came right back to my house. He finally went home 2 months after and it turns out the mattress they delivered is not the same we purchased. When we called him to complain, he stated we needed to go back to the store with a picture of the mattress which we did. At the store he told me I should have purchased the insurance (which he never offered). We tried the mattress that we "bought" and it was definitely not the one we received. When we asked him about exchanging it, he said he'd have to talk to the warehouse. He gave me a quote for the exchange and told me to call him the following Monday. I called him on Monday and he said the warehouse agreed to the exchange and that my dad had to go back in person to sign the invoice and pay. When my dad went to the store, Johnny wasn't there and the new guy quoted him $200 over of what he had originally quoted us. When my dad got on the phone with Johnny again, he denied giving me a quote and stated that was the price we had to pay and that we could either take it or leave it. If this is the way the manager responds to an 84 year old man then it really speaks about his customer service skills and the way he handles business at this store.

Also, in store mattresses have confusing branding, so a Stearns and Foster at one store has a different brand name somewhere else. Sleepare is a showroom for many online brands and you can go there by appointment only. When you make the appointment, you can indicate what mattress brands you are interested in, and what kind of sleeper you are (side, stomach, back). When we arrived, we had Nigora's undivided attention. She was very knowledgeable about the brands and made some great suggestions based on our sleep habits (we are a side / back couple!). She followed up with an email later that day so we can ask further questions or come back for another try. BONUS: They have a small parking lot next to the store!

We were moving so when the first box was delivered without the promised tracking number we reached out to SleePare and were provided with tracking numbers for all the boxes (parts) including the already delivered box. We were quite happy at this point as everything was scheduled to deliver much earlier than mentioned in the show room. This is where things take a crazy turn though. We get the headboard 7/22, the mattresses (two twins since split king) and two adjustable bases (7/23) without issues. So we almost have a complete bed. We are tracking the final piece when we see it turn away from our house (FL) and return to the shipper (SC). We immediately reach out to customer service (7/24) as FedEx tracking had not been updated to tell us why. It is later told via FedEx that the box was damaged in shipping. So I follow-up with customer service (7/24) and then I follow-up again (7/30). I get an answer that we will be notified when the replacement is shipped (7/31 originally). Well that was 14 days ago and all the promised tracking information is never provided (promised again 8/8; 8/11; 8/13; & 8/14). I have called regularly and emailed. I even chatted with an AI bot on their website. The crazy thing is somehow in this process they shipped us a second headboard (8/12) but we are still missing the foundation to the bed. How do you sleep on a brand new bed without the foundation. We are still in process on this order as I am after the third promise still awaiting tracking of this foundation that may or may not have been sent at this point. Therefore, the best I can say is buyer beware you are about to invest a very large amount of money to chase your pieces and parts and hopefully end up with a complete bed. UPDATE: After posting this review we received a communication from the NY office who began the process of assisting us. We worked with Bruce who updated us with the status, tracking numbers and kept us in the loop as the company provided the missing portion of the bed that was returned to the distributor. We received the last part of our bed yesterday 8/24 and were given a very small refund considering the total price and they will be shipping some bedding for our complications. We appreciate Bruce stepping in to assist us and solve the problem. He did a great job. After 32 days post the original parts we will be sleeping on our new bed. Thank you, Bruce.

I paid for this item in November 2008. My living room is an odd size. I live in a loft in downtown LA and we had to ditch all of our old, larger furniture when we bought the place last year. My wife and I looked for weeks for a sofa that would fit in the space we have and there was nothing in LA that worked so we started looking online. KMP had a really cool design and it was the perfect size so I shelled out the $1600 for it knowing that they make their items in China and that it would take roughly 3 months to produce and ship. I liked the design so much I was willing to wait so I went out and got a nice bean bag chair to wait it out on. There was a delay with the shipment and it was to arrive at my door about 4 months after I paid for it which I was ok with until the delivery guys removed the pieces from the boxes and I could easily see that the sofa was built backwards with a left side chaise instead of a right side chaise. I informed KMP of the issue and they apologized for the mistake and agreed to reorder the sofa but with another lead time of 3 months for delivery. After seeing the solid construction of the incorrect piece I agreed to this because as I said previously, it was tough to find something the right size for the space. The incorrect piece is still sitting unused in my bedroom... (August 10th, 2009). The logistical blunders didn't stop after the first sofa though and there were more than enough issues with the second shipment. A month here and a month there brings us to today, August 10th, 2009 - 9 long months since I paid for the sofa. I'm sitting on the sofa right now as I type this. My dog is looking at me strangely because the bean bag is gone and he has nowhere to sit. I like the sofa a lot. Would you want to wait this long for something you payed good money for to arrive? I don't think anyone should have to go through a wait like that for any top quality furniture. If you have nothing else to do and an endless supply of bean bag chairs then buy something from this store. If not, shop somewhere else.
