Anyways I notice when going to work early morning my Chevy Trailblazer (Who I named Old Faithful) was reving really hard. I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. I feel that their service/evaluation was thorough, and their communication throughout the process was exemplary. They are going to do follow up work on my brakes and I will see how that goes. Fortunately, Motomaxx was able to get me in the next day and is conveniently close to the dealership where the car was. They also charged far less than some other nearby places. I came with a book, prepared to wait a while. They have a small lounge area, but the seating is comfortable and there is a tiny fireplace, nice to have on a cold rainy day, I was almost disappointed they finished with the car so quickly! They said that was partly because it was in such good shape that there wasn't a lot to investigate, so very good news. The other thing I noticed was that I was treated with respect and given a rundown of the results. This has not always been my experience as an older female at other places. If I lived in this area , I would probably become a regular.
